Weil das Museum am gebuchten Abend bereits geschlossen war, hat uns David kurzerhand angeboten, die Führung durch das Museum am nächsten Morgen nachzuholen. Wir haben somit fast eine doppelte Führung erhalten. Gulbenkians Ausstellung war echt sehr interessant, und David hat uns noch viele zusätzliche Tipps mitgeben können. António was very pleasant even though we were late getting to our prearranged meeting. He was hired to take us around the Gulbukien museum. He was knowledgeable about Mr Gulbeckian’s life but told us nothing about what we were to see in the exhibits. He walked around with us but seemed to know nothing about the art. I felt we paid a lot for no information. The collection was wonderful and l was fascinated by the art nouveau jewellery which I didn’t know was there. It would have been interesting to hear about the designers.

Our tour was supposed to be a museum tour but it turned out that the museum was closed. Diolo, being the skilled tour guide and beatboxer that he is, thought quickly, improved and offered us options on what we could do as an alternative. He took us on a tour around Lisbon that gave us some of the old and new sights that showed us what makes Lisbon the vibrant city that it is. Occasionally displaying his hype beatboxing skills, Diolo’s love for Lisbon and exuberant energy made our detour one of a kind! Antonio was a wonderful tour guide for our food tour! He was pleasant and easy to chat with, while providing a nice selection of foods at 4 different locations. Being with him in the restaurants was like being with a friend — he answered our questions, provided information about each dish, and even went out of his way to order an extra small taste of an item that we were curious about. It was nice to be treated like a local at the restaurants because we were with him, especially at one of the restaurants where the staff came over and welcomed us as if we were old friends. We learned a lot about Portuguese food, and we ate lots! Definitely come hungry! You will not be disappointed!Great tour!

Sónia was an amazing tour guide with lots of knowledge and factoids about Lisbon and Portugal. It was wonderful to see Lisbon by foot and experience the food delicacies. We took our two boys (11 yo & 3 yo) on the food tour and although adventures eaters, didn't partake in about half of the foods or in the alcohol tastings. We thoroughly enjoyed Sónia and she was wonderful with the boys, this tour would have been better if their was a discounted rate for kids. I'm glad we did the tour as a family, but the price-value rating is low for having to pay full price for kids.Wonderful Family Portugal Food Experience!

My wife and I spent a full day with Luis visiting Fatima, Nazare, and Obidos. Luis has a warm and engaging personality, and he made us feel welcome from the start. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of Portugal, including its history and culture, and he is articulate and eloquent in sharing his knowledge. His English is excellent, and he also speaks fluent Portuguese and Spanish. He was sensitive to our needs and he customized the tour to our preferences. Antonio took my wife and I on a walking tour of Lisbon. He personalized it perfectly so there was no overlap with what we had already seen. Although the weather was rainy, Antonio took us to see both highlights and hidden sites (make sure he takes you to the church that is plain outside and irnate inside...a true hidden gem!) and never wavered. He made sure we went inside different places as well as seeing key sites and statutes while explaining the history. We had a great time and learned a lot. Antonio did a great job!Fun walking tour
