Paola is a great guide and lover of the ‘story’ or history behind the artist and the art object being viewed. She used her iPad as an adjunct to display explainations of art pieces she was describing, mading history come alive! Her knowledge was excellent and extensive. Paola was also gregarious and very considerate of our physical needs to stop and rest now and then. She interceded when our view was obstructed, and made the ‘overwhelming Louvre’ manageble. Our family of four loved our Louvre tour with Emilie! I told her our daughters' ages in advance and she prepared a special tour for them, and made sure to point out things of interest for their age level. She saved us a TON of time from skipping the entry line, to being able to use the group visit rest room, to making sure we saw all the important works within our two hours there (the kids can only really muster so much time in a museum before they start losing it :)). Her knowledge of the art and the history was fantastic, and she answered all our questions patiently. She really explained the history behind each painting and made it interesting for all of us. We were delighted with our tour withe Fe: she structured the tour according to our interests and requests. Even though we were late and our tour was shortened, Fe made the most of our time and showed us parts of the museum we would not have seen on our own. Fe was amazing. We loved it. The tour was great and she was incredibly knowledgeable. Would not hesitate to book with her again. The only thing I would mention-which is a Tours with Locals issue, unrelated to Fe- is that the tour times listed aren’t necessarily available if tickets are already sold out through the main Louvre site. For example we booked a 9a-11a tour planning on hustling to the Mona Lisa with a smaller viewing crowd but even though she had us pre-book tickets, they were sold out at that time and the earliest available were 10 which allows for a 9:30 entry. Seems like not a big deal but changed our timing of plans for the day and made the Mona Lisa viewing meh. Fe was excellent, made the most of it, and gave us extra tour time so it’s definitely not a Fe issue. She was truly was an exceptional guide. Just double check the Louvre site when you are deciding on time and buy tickets early!! Great tour!

Fe was great helping us with questions, guiding us before even booking with her. We met her outside the Louvre where the magic all started with detailed explanations on certain aspects outside before she helped us quickly navigate the entrance. Inside, we had the best time learning about the museum pieces with Fe's insight and knowledge. She knows so much about the pieces and was able to connect them with other museums we were at recently in London and Paris. We are a family of 5 that booked a 2 hour tour of the Louvre with Paola. I really enjoyed her passion for the arts. It was so helpful to have someone guide us through the highlights of this huge museum, and to be able to give us some history and understand what we were looking at. The stories that she was able to tell us of the works really helped the museum be more meaningful. Also someone that knew where to go and how to get to everything was so valuable. An incredible tour! Hugo is so knowledgable and is great at really explaining things in depth, but at a relatable level. He showed us parts of the Louvre we didn’t know existed, was able to explain the meaning behind the paintings and sculptures and show us details we wouldn’t have otherwise noticed. Fe was so excited to walk our family of four around the Louvre, it made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Julien was our guide for a tour in het Louvre a week ago, for me and my twelve year old daughter. Julien advise us to start a little early (8:45 am), to be able to see the Mona Lisa before large groups of (Asian) tourists poured into the hall where the painting is exhibited. And good advice it was….we had pretty much uninterrupted views of the painting for about 5 minutes. We experienced a small thrill from running through the hallways and the corridors of the Louvre (just follow the guide...) to be at the painting as soon as possible. Apart from this nice episode, Julien is very kind and friendly and has extensive knowledge of the Louvre building, its history and occupants and the artwork on display, for instance the 18th century French painters, the jewellery, the Greek and Roman statues etc. etc. Also he asked my daughter a lot of questions about the museum and paintings and involved her a lot in the explanation of the artworks. My family of four selected Julien to guide us through the Louvre to see some highlights. I had sent him a note just the evening before requesting a few things to see with as much context and story telling as he could provide. We saw everything I requested and then some, but more importantly, Julien pointed out things that brought the artwork to life and gave it meaning, providing history, context, and fun facts. He was engaging with the whole family, and I highly recommend him! I so enjoyed this tour with Julien. Big bonus that when you book with a guide, you skip the long admission lines. First of all, Julien was spectacular!!! BUT, tickets were not available when we showed up when our voucher specifically stated not to buy tickets and just pay cash to Julien who would have the tickets. Your website should state to purchase the tickets at the same time you book a guide!?!?! But he helped us reschedule another day, but the tickets available had to be a package so we’re a lot more money. Communication with Julien prior to the day of the tour was great! He kept us informed of all of the important details, including the place to meet him on the day of the tour. He purchased our admission tickets to the Louvre in advance, and was waiting in the line to enter the museum before it opened. Once it opened we very quickly made our way to see the Mona Lisa and it gave us a great view before the crowds arrived. He continued yes to point out the highlights of the Louvre and explained a lot of detail in the paintings to really help us understand the artists perspective.
