Elisabetta was fun and engaging and knowledgeable, but also able to listen. The tour was not so much about the museums, but more about the more hidden history of Berlin. Thus, it turned out to be much better as a result. Excellent walk and talk on the development of German architecture in Berlin. It’s not an art tour but a talk about each of the buildings and the overall model of Berlin in the Markisches Museum is fascinating. Boys is knowledge and warm hearted. We had the private 4 hour tour of Berlin with Alex who was informative and adapted the tour as we went along taking us to sights we would have never had thought of if seeing if doing it ad hoc. Where to start! From the start we hit it off. Boyd generously allowed us to deviate from the named tour and concentrated on our preferred interests I.e. East vs West. His knowledge was exceptional , his attention to detail was so much appreciated. He had comprehensive answers for all our questions and challenged us by asking us questions in return. We did a WW2 tour with Miha, with a group including our kids (9, 13), and in-laws (70's), and everyone had a great time. We got an amazing introduction and overview to all of Berlin, but the best was the personal stories and getting to know Miha. He was obviously a very passionate guide, well-informed, and very personable. The pace was perfect for us, and the time flew by. Seth met us at our hotel in Berlin and took us all the way to the camp and back. We were a family of 6 with 2 grandchildren, 2 parents and 2 grandparents. Seth set a pace that worked for all of us and helped us all understand what we were seeing. He was knowledgeable about the whole camp system and that helped us gain a broader perspective. He adjusted timing when it rained and made sure we had time for a quick lunch before boarding the train back to Berlin. He saw us all the way to the hotel before departing. We spent two hours with Miha as he took us on a walking tour of Berlin and into The Reichstag. Unlike other tour guides we’ve had in the past, Miha stayed with us, listening along to the audio tour and adding additional information and context to what was on the recording. He was also generous with answers about his family’s experiences with events in Europe over the last 80 years that really brought the history out of names and dates into the impact it had on people and their descendants.
