We had the best time with Maria Augusta at the Prado Museum. She curated a greatest hits list of art to show us and shared the most interesting stories and perspectives about them. We don’t usually tour art museums on our frequent European city breaks, but we loved this tour. She was great with our surly 12-year-old daughter, too. Victor is a must if you want to get a good introduction to the museum. He had a well prepared plan with notable works of arts explained in terms of historical and artistic significance. My wife and I visited Madrid in early October and knew we wanted to see the Prado. However, there’s so much to see there that we clearly needed help. We booked Iker as our private guide and he was amazing! I really enjoyed the guided tour with Majo, we had an experience together with all of the art we engaged with. Art is spiritual and emotional, and we are both passionate about it. The joy and reverence I experienced with some of the masterpieces I could sense the same in her, yes it's her job, but she loves it. I highly recommend her as a guide, no rushed feeling, she allowed me to engage with the pieces however I needed to, and enhanced my experience with background info, her knowledge of the history and her own experiences with the art. Majo exceeded our expectations and changed our Prado visit from simply wandering around looking at great art to an in-depth experience of learning and understanding it. Her knowledge of art history combined with her humor and warmth was just wonderful. It felt like walking through the museum with that dear friend who knows all the good stories and knows way more about art than you do 🥰. I was watching other people leaning in to hear her as she passionately spoke of the various artworks. I think they were wishing they were on our private tour. If you are in Madrid, I would recommend her for any explorations! Majo is magical

I had visited the Prado museum before, but this time l wanted to know more about the Prado’s other works it holds and the recent controversial Caravaggio painting that the museum has in its collection. Iker was simply phenomenal, my parents and I toured the Prado with him, he immediately created a fantastic overview and connection with us. my parents are a bit older and Iker showed great consideration and empathy towards us making us feel incredibly special. Did two tours with Maria one through the city center the other of the Prado. Tour was with family and included two children. Maria was excellent and made the tour interesting for the entire family. The museum tour was excellent. Maria was very knowledgeable and did a great job making it relatable for everyone. It was hands down one of the best experiences I have had in an art museum. The selection of paintings we discussed was amazing and she was able to portray their significance in a way that made each interesting and impactful. I have never had a guided tour of an art museum before but after this experience would do it again. Maria was also very attentive to my two kids and engaged with them through out. We had a fabulous time with Maria. She's a fantastic guide! We wanted to see the highlights of the Prado and she showed us the best of the best. She showed additional pictures on her I-pad which made it easier to see the details of the paintings since it's so difficult to get close on many. Maria met us near the Prado. As we walked to the museum, she explained the history of the area and the building. She led us through the museum to explore many of the important paintings, explaining the significance of each from the historical and artistic perspectives. She was well-prepared and showed us interrelationships over time with other paintings. For example, she showed us how Picasso was influenced by a Velazquez painting. We signed up for a tour of the Prado museum. The morning of the tour our guide texted us to say that her train was delayed a could we reschedule. No we were leaving the next day. Long story short we went to the Prado without a guide. She texted that she arrived after 5 pm - over 6 hours after the tour was to start. She said she would request a refund for us. No word on that yet. Profoundly disappointing. Our guide was not able to meet us

Our family loves museums, and when we visit a large museum like the Prado, we feel it’s worth the splurge to have a guide. Govi is among the best we have ever had. Our family started our Spain vacation in Madrid. Elena gave us a tour of the Prado and brought life and context to what we were viewing. We were so so so so fortunate to have Elena as our private guide for a tour of the impressive El Prado Museum in Spain. I cannot imagine this visit going any better than what it did. Anyone who has gone to El Prado will understand how daunting it may feel to be within the expansive El Prado and feel like they are maximizing their time within these historic walls. In comes Elena - vibrant, smiling, knowledgeable, engaging, smart, funny, and all the other positive superlatives in the world. She single handedly made this a super engaging and enriching experience for our family of four. Our two teenagers remained engaged with her at all times. Not an easy feat!!!!!!!!!
