I would highly recommend Eleonora if you want to do a private tour of the Vatican/Sistine Chapel. This was the first time at the Vatican for our 18 and 20 year old granddaughters and Eleonora struck the perfect balance of providing interesting info about the most important features of the Vatican museum and Sistine chapel without getting bogged down on any one subject. Even though my wife and I have been to the Vatican several times, Eleonora made it interesting for us as well. She also did a great job of maneuvering our little group through the throngs of tourists. To top it off, Eleonora has a great personality.Best Tour of the Vatican and St Peters

If you are considering booking Sara for a tour in Rome, stop and book immediately. Sara is unbelievably knowledgeable. She knows everything about the Vatican museums and the history behind the Vatican state. Carlos was amazing, a lot of extra information and anecdotes about what we saw inside the Vatican. He greeted us on time at the gate of the museum and while we waited in the long line, he started to inform us what we saw around us and what we needed to do to enter the Vatican City. We had “skip the line” tickets. The lines were long, but we cut through them quickly with Carlo who knew exactly what to do. In 3-5 minutes, we had past all the security and ticket controls. We learned a lot from a very informative tour. It was very crowded when we started at 10:00 on a Tuesday, but he handled it nicely with some extra information while we waited on some bigger groups to move. Carlo was interested in what our next destination in Italy was and we got some good recommendations from him for Florence and Bologna. Several days later we contacted him regarding tips for restaurants and they gave us excellent recommendations for local spots with little to no tourists and good-priced food and drinks. We would absolutely recommend Carlo and if we are ever back in Rome we are booking him again for other tours.A good experience

Sara is an amazing guide because she is not just well informed but intellectually honest with that information! She is super knowledgeable about art, Roman and church history and is happy to tailor the tour to what most interests you. We had other guides, but they often presented the material as a laundry list of facts and dates whereas, Sara is conversational, relaxed and responsive to your perspective (and not without a clever sense of humor.) She knows the Vatican like the back of her hand, which is very helpful when you need to navigate around all the crowds and lines. On the practical side: she was very easy to reach and was able to offer suggestions about other places to visit and good neighborhood restaurants. We highly recommend Sara!!!Fantastic Vatican Tour!

Wow, wow, wow, wow! I am very happy we decided to book with Carlo. I will admit in the beginning I was a bit hesitant (price wise) but I kept going back to the amazing reviews and decided we need to book with Carlo.. and we loved it. We had a wonderful day with Sara at the Vatican. Sara was so knowledgeable about all things Vatican especially the artwork. She was also ver accommodating from the beginning. She understood exactly what we wanted to achieve while touring as well as understanding when we were finished looking at certain things and wanted to move on. Furthermore, it was a very hot day and touring with teens can be challenging. Sara accommodated the tour to make it interesting for them but also knew when to speed things up to keep their interest. I highly recommend using Withlocals for the Vatican Museum personalized tour. Federico was able to get us early morning tickets beforehand and saved us hours of waiting time as lines were enormous. Once inside he explained so much on the middle age transition into the renaissance that helped us understand the underlying artworks and their history and meanings. He also gave us information to get free tickets today St. Peter’s evening prayer service (vespers) and we had opportunity to see Pope Francis! He also shared a restaurant recommendation for after the tour which turned out great. My adult son is going to recreate his sandwich back home as it was one of his favorite restaurant meals while we were in Italy.
