Elvira was patient as we got lost and were running behind and greatly appreciate her flexibility! We had a fun walk around the gothic quarter with our family of 3 adults and 3 kids, all under the age of 4. some of the topics felt a bit confusing and unfinished / where we would jump around and didn’t feel like a natural flow of details but not a deal breaker. Liliia is definitely knowledgable about Barcelona but I don't think the Family Friendly tour was her jam. We did a couple of Family Friendly tours in Palma and Rome so we have a decent barometer for what to expect. There was very little effort made to engage the kids and keep them interested. We also did not get the "Local snack for kids and adults". What really ticked me off is that we felt pressured at every stop to buy souvenirs and at one of them it was clear that Liliia got some rewards or commission. On the flip side, she did share some interesting tidbits with us about Barcelona and pointed out interesting things that I know we would not have gotten on other tours. Just OK

We had a good first day w Irina. She had a good knowledge of the area and was good with the kids too. We enjoyed and were grateful and looking forward to the next day. Day 2, Irina had apparently suffered an accident, unfortunately. Our two boys were not that interested after 15minutes Maybe because the original guide cancelled and Federico stepped in, the content wasn't right. Philippe made our trip. He is such a knowledgeable guide, giving not only my wife and I but our 9 & 13 y/o sons lots of fascinating facts about Barcelona's history as well as the Catalan culture. My 13 y/o son had Fideuà as per his suggestion and loved it. My 9 year old can't stop telling people the difference between Japanese & Chinese dragons - 3 or 5?!? We all enjoyed a cup of the best hot chocolate ever at Museu de la Xocolata too. Overall, Philippe kept us all thoroughly engaged throughout the whole tour. Marcel overall was a great tour guide for our family. Our Barcelona city tour overlapped with our Gothic tour in terms of places and Marcel was able to pivot and show us other things that we had not seen. He was engaging with her 7-year-old providing fun games and challenges for her along the way and some surprises which made it easy to keep her attention for the walking to her. We took a second trip and tour with him the following day to Montserrat monastery. Going with him made the overall journey very easy to find the train, we took 2 different methods of seeing the monitor including the ventricular 1 way and the cable car the other. His knowledge of Montserrat was great. He again kept her daughter engaged and was able to take many family pictures on both days. 1 key thing which we appreciated is Marcel does not talk incessantly. He allows a lot of downtime to observe and really was great to be with.Great City & Monserrat Tour

We had Marcelo take our family of 5 (two adults, three kids) around the Gothic Quarter the day we arrived in Barcelona. He knew the ins and outs of the the old town and showed us things that we would not have found on our own or, even if we did stumble upon them, wouldn't know the significant. The kids were engaged and since the day was so hot, Marcelo was quick to help us pivot from the history of the town to the best churro and Gelato shops around. They were really good and we went back to each at least 3 more times during our time in Barcelona. Same for showing us the cool parrots at Park Cuitadella; never would have found it ourselves and we returned the next day. Would highly recommend Marcelo.Marcel great tour for family

We met Marcelo on our first day in Barcelona on a very short visit. We wanted to see some of the hidden treasures of the city that the hop on hop off bus wouldn’t show us. Marcelo definitely delivered! We saw so many incredible little laneways and beautiful historical monuments. Philippe was accommodating when we were running about 10 minutes late. He gave an informational tour and kept trying to stay engaging to the children we had in our group. He got us some very yummy churros and gave us plenty of information about Gaudí and we hunted for dragons around the city. However, he was rather snobbish and made some rather off putting comments. I think if he kept some of his opinions to himself it would have been a much better tour. Ok tour

Marina was super friendly and enthusiastic about Barcelona sharing both tips of great places for ice cream (very important to our girls) to great tapas (for us). It was Marina’s first tour but she knew the city really well, we loved the many secret quiet spots she found. It would be good to tailor the tour more for younger children, the kids loved spotting all the animals and more ideas like this would keep littlies amused. The kids loved Marina, with our four year old taking her hand as we walked along and it was the best bit of our kids’ day walking with Marina. Alan is an extremely nice, warm-hearted guide, who lives a modern life with his family in Barcelona and can show you all the main sights, the hidden gems and just his personal Barcelona. We learned a lot on this tour and Alan easily managed to keep my kids (12 and 14 years) interested and motivated. We booked a tour of Barcelona with Marcel and didn’t really know what to expect. Me, my partner and three children arrived slightly late but Marcel was waiting patiently for us and immediately created an easy going atmosphere. On arrival, he introduced himself to our children and asked what things they would also like to see, making them feel included in the tour. It helped that they both were wearing Barcelona tops and Marcel is also a fan. He promised to include several Barcelona football-related stops along the way just for them and he didn’t disappoint. Marcel encouraged us to shape the tour by advising the things we were interested in such as the civil war and the Franco-era and he was able to tap into his vast knowledge of the city to take us on a route that satisfied all our requirements. He even took us to some additional hidden gems such as the finest churro shop in Barcelona. This was very much appreciated by our children! What we really enjoyed was his personable character that gave a genuine feel to the city from a local who lives and breathes it every day. We even learned a little about his own life and how Barcelona residents coped during the pandemic which was a fascinating insight into the period. Marcel is a lovely guy and if you want a chilled out tour with an expert grasp of all aspects of the city, Marcel is your man. Gracias Marcel!Fun with Marcel!

I’m always a bit nervous of tours - so often they are full of tall tales and overly rehearsed stories. And with kids they can feel endless! But Fiorella was the perfect guide.
