Suzanne was a fabulous guide. In three hours we learned some of the history of Mallorca and quite a bit about it's food culture. We went to parts of the city we wouldn't have found on our own and sampled some lovely tapas. Discovering the local vermouth was a real delight! We really enjoyed Suzanne's company. Our tour with Cesar was great! His knowledge of the local history was impressive and very informative. Our ship arrived at port a little late and he was kind enough to adjust his schedule to accommodate our late arrival. Valldemossa is a beautiful town and a must see, especially for Chopin fans. He treated us to a special Valldemossa sweet bread...Coques de Patata, which was yummy! He also customized the tour for us by showing us Deia and Palma. My only negative comment is that the car is a little small for 4 people. My husband and brother are both over 6 ft and the 3 of us in the back were a little cramped. This day was spectacular. The caves, the swimming cove, the lunch, the wine tasting, the ancient villages but most of all the company. Cesar is so knowledgeable, easy going and very generous with his time. We loved spending the day with him and he really made an itinerary to suit our preferences. Our experience with Cesar was outstanding from start to finish. He worked cooperatively with us to design two full-day itineraries that comported with our interests and dietary needs. Cesar was punctual in picking us up from our hotel each morning and made appropriate adjustments to our plans as needed based on traffic, opening/closing times for sights, and the like. Parenthetically, Cesar navigated steep hairpin turns (such as between Valldemosa and Port de Valldemosa) and tight parking with aplomb. He is knowledgeable about Spanish history in general and Mallorcan culture and history in particular, and never hesitated to answer our questions or give dining or beach recommendations. He even brought us to an archeological site in Palma that none of the guide books mentioned and introduced us to his wife, who worked there. My wife and I have already recommended Cesar to friends considering a future visit Mallorca.

Cesar was awesome. He has overly accommodating with a late minute request to add 2 additional people to the tour. He was knowledgeable about Mallorca and had hidden gems of knowledge. Drachs cave was awesome and it was pretty clear that he had the 'in' with all the folks working there and had secret ways to get us in the right place at the right time ;-). We also wanted to go to a beach for a while and what an awesome Cala we went to (w/ locals instead of tourist location). Mallorca is a gem of a location and he was the rockstar of the island. We did a wonderful three hour walking tour through Palma, and Alvaro was amazing. With the ride level of detail, not too much not too little, but whenever we wanted to know more, he was extremely knowledgeable. And most of all very entertaining, including our kids. At the end of the tour we also did a stop to taste the best Endaimadas in town. All in all just Perfect, we can fully recommend Alvaro for your visit to Palma.Perfect introduction to Palma

We’ve traveled extensively over the past two decades—on every continent except Australia (so far)—and have had well over 100 tour guides, including more than 40 through Withlocals. In my work as a global health researcher, I’ve also had countless encounters across cultures and countries. And I can say, without hesitation: Cesar is the best tour guide we have ever had. His knowledge of Mallorca was both expansive and precise—not just facts, but stories that brought the island to life. He shared fascinating historical and contemporary insights into the island’s people, society, and geography with remarkable depth and clarity. We did two tours with Cesar. The first took us to the Drach Caves, with a stop at Nadal’s Tennis Academy and lunch at a fantastic local (non-touristy) restaurant. The second was a 1/2 day trip to Valldemossa and Deià. While the destinations were beautiful, what made the experience unforgettable was Cesar himself. We had an absolutely wonderful walking tour with Alvaro in Palma de Mallorca. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and incredibly enjoyable. Even before the tour began, Alvaro was fantastic with communication. We had some unexpected travel delays, and he was so understanding — adjusting our meeting time without any hassle. That flexibility really set the tone for how thoughtful and accommodating he is. The tour began with a visit to the stunning cathedral, where Alvaro brought the history and culture of the site to life with engaging stories and a deep knowledge of the region. His passion for local heritage really made the experience special. When we mentioned wanting to switch things up a bit, Alvaro didn’t miss a beat. He took us to one of the oldest bakeries in the area, where we enjoyed an authentic Palm de Mallorca dessert — easily the best dessert of our entire trip — paired with a rich, flavorful espresso. The surprises didn’t end there. Alvaro then led us to a charming local spot where we had a refreshing vermouth along with a plate of olives, meats, and cheeses. It was the perfect way to relax and take in the atmosphere of the town like locals. To top it all off, Alvaro personally made sure we found the best taxis so that we could return to our ship with time to spare. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip, and Alvaro was a huge part of that. His warmth, knowledge, and flexibility make him a guide I’d recommend to anyone visiting the area. My sisters and niece have never been to Mallorca — while my husband and I have been here many times. We all learned so much with Alvaro! We went on an amazing 3 hour walk through Palma - stopping to taste Mallorcan delicacies! Alvaro knows where to go and what to order — some things, even as a chef, I have not tried before! Alvaro is knowledgeable and fun to spend an afternoon with in Palma. Definitely worth it and good for lots of age groups. Lots of walking - so littles may need a stroller if part of the group. My niece is 9! She did great! A wonderful afternoon with Alvaro!

We arrived to Palma Mallorca from our cruise ship. Cesar was our tour guide, he gave us such a pleasant tour, we walked through the streets were he show us around while giving us an incredible background of history and culture. Passed by a few churches, visited Turk Baths a Santa Clara Monastery and visited the beautiful Cathedral. He gave us some tips of places to eat and shop. We truly recommend Cesar. I booked this introduction to Palma experience as my sister and I were making our first visit to Palma and were only staying for the weekend - so we couldn't afford to waste time in the wrong parts of town! Suzanne did a great job of pointing out key details of paintings ands sculptures in the huge Prado museum that we would have otherwise missed. She shared some interesting details about the artists as well. I should also mention that she got us tickets and we were able to avoid the long lines and enter through a side door.
