Jason was very knowledgeable and flexible during our tour. We covered a lot of ground -- the palace, winding neighborhood streets and alleyways, cafe culture, night market cuisine, and some less travelled spots that offered respite in nature. Jason is open to answering questions that offer his unique insight into daily life in Korea. He was thoughtful in checking in about the pace of the tour as well as shifting gears when an interest arose around something outside of the initial itinerary. My wife and I took the 5 hour tour with KIM in Seoul, and we would highly recommend her. KIM is knowledgeable, friendly, and easily picked up on our style. She took us around the palace and through Bukchon to areas we never would have found on our own, and gave us a great balance of history and culture. After a delicious Bibimbap lunch, we went to the food market and had a great sampling of Korean food. We have to say, it was an excellent day and a perfect way to be introduced to Seoul. Me and my daughter had a wonderful private tour with Jason. He picked us up from our hotel and showed us his favorite spots. Once we started chatting, we found Jason to be very friendly and helpful. He answered all our questions about travel in Seoul and gave us helpful tips and suggestions on where to go. The tour he created for us was customised for us; our daughter was able to take photos of paths less trodden by tourists and we also enjoyed the bustling market of Gwangjiang and the amazing cafes of Ik Seon Dong. Jason’s recommendation for street food at Gwangjiang market did not disappoint. The food we had was good. Amazing! This tour is very detailed, Kim our guide is passionate about history and makes this tour come alive. We visited the prison and each building, each room was told to us, making a discovery a reality. If we had been alone we would not have been able to have this feeling. We then went to see Mr. Taylor's house then the palace and the exhibition on light. We ended up with a part of the palace that was cut off from its origin. Tripper and Kim delighted us. In addition, Kim was able to adapt to my pace having difficulty walking and taking the stairs. I really appreciated it. Thank you to you and Tripper. We had a very informative time with Jason as he very patiently taught us how to use both buses and trains in Seoul. Without a doubt one of my new favorite cities in the world- Seoul! Once I booked the tour, Jason immediately reached out to find out what we were interested, so that he could tailor the perfect day of sights. We were warmly welcomed by Jason at our hotel. I had only one day in Seoul - so decided to go WITHLOCALS to spend half of my day. Jason was great - met me at the hotel I was staying - he was very friendly and we visited a Palace - he gave me the history of it; and we went to Bukchon village - an amazing traditional neighborhood of Seoul - the very narrow streets with traditional housing; some nice shops as well; he offered to take pictures - and he is great in that! then he took me to an old area that has tons of little restaurants and cafés and art galleries - i loved th area!
