Our experience with Sara was the highlight of our trip. We took a walking tour of her neighborhood and she showed us all the street art and such. It was very interesting. We then went to her apartment where she made us the most fabulous meal. My little nine-year-old grandson helped her cook, and he loved the experience so much. She knows how to talk to children and make them feel included and valued. The same is true with adults. I can't praise Sara enough. She went above and beyond what was required of her and gave us a lifelong memory to treasure.Must do when in Rome!

We hadden een geweldige namiddag met Sara, een hele fijne gids die ons met veel kennis en een groot enthousiasme door Pigneto loodste. Nadien werden we zeer gastvrij onthaald op haar appartement en hebben we samen lekkere Romeinse pasta all’amatriciana gekookt en overheerlijke tiramisu gemaakt. Sara liet ons meteen thuis voelen. Our family of four spent the day with Sara in Pigneto, touring the neighborhood to see the local art, stopping at a market and bakery to pick up some items and then joining Sara in her home for a wonderful meal and cooking class. Sara was a wonderful host who we all connected with. We had so much good food and really enjoyed cooking together. Most importantly, we came away feeling like our trip to Rome was now a local experience as Sara made us feel like friends. Our market tour and cooking class with Sara was excellent. We got to explore her neighborhood and learn more about Rome. The market was very quaint, with tons of fresh produce. We then went to Sara's home and cooked a beautiful meal. We felt very at home and as if we had made a friend. The food was delicious and we can't wait to make the dishes at home. Gelukkig dat we de tijd genomen hebben om samen met Sara te koken; want wat een leuke belevenis was dat! Thank you Sara for the memorable day in Rome! We had a wonderful time touring the street art in Pigneto and learning about the history of the area (which was refreshingly not touristic!). When we got to Sara's apartment, she had a fantastic spread of local foods for us to try, including many local cheeses that we would have never tried without her. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed cooking together and learning more about neighbourhoods in Rome. Our time with Sara was nothing short of amazing. Despite the fact that we did a cooking class and market tour, I had chatted with her earlier about my interest in art, and she also had us see so much amazing street art on our tour! We also stopped by a bakery to pick up focaccia that was so delicious it made me want to cry. Her neighborhood is so cute and I'm so glad we booked with her because I never would have ventured out there otherwise, but it was so cool to see a non-touristy area and just see how real Romans live. She also visits Campania and Tuscany often, so her understanding of Italian culture and cuisine goes far beyond what is just Roman - it was so fun to pick her brain about the different regions. She also built our class around the fact that we are vegetarians. This usually means a mediocre menu, but not with Sara! All the flavors were so delicious and complex, and it was really cool to learn about new vegetables and ways of preparing pasta with them. Please book with Sara, you won't regret it! We've already been in Italy for 11 days, and our 3 hours with her taught us the most about Italy!Best 3 hours in Italy!

Informative and energetic, Sara showed us all we could possibly see in the two days we were in Rome. She never stopped talking, and that was a wonderful thing! The absolute wealth of knowledge she has about the city is unparalleled. Not only did we learn so much about the ancient city, she also took us to some of the tastiest places for pizza, suppli, and the most decadent slushie espresso topped with fresh whipped cream just outside the Pantheon. Delicious treats with spectacular views! We are Americans and Sara spoke very clear English. We rarely had trouble understanding her. We had a wonderful day with Sara at the Vatican. Sara was so knowledgeable about all things Vatican especially the artwork. She was also ver accommodating from the beginning. She understood exactly what we wanted to achieve while touring as well as understanding when we were finished looking at certain things and wanted to move on. Furthermore, it was a very hot day and touring with teens can be challenging. Sara accommodated the tour to make it interesting for them but also knew when to speed things up to keep their interest. My wife and I met Sara a couple of hours after arriving in Rome to do a customized Welcome Tour with her. Pre-tour communication was excellent and it didn't take us long at all to connect. Before starting our tour, we were hungry - fortunately, Sara quickly guided us to a restaurant where we had a quick, delicious meal that accommodated our gluten-free needs. The tour itself was a wonderful experience - Sara is incredibly knowledgeable about history and culture, and she told some great stories. She took us to all the sights we wanted to see, and made it fun and interesting - she is a bundle of energy and a very social person! She is also a great teacher, and brought some visual aids to make sure we had a sense of what things looked like in ancient times. We learned so much in our 3 hours and by the end of the tour, we were interested in learning even more about Roman history! We've taken 4 trips to various parts of Europe over the past year, and we think Sara is the best guide we have ever had. We feel like we made a friend in Rome and we will definitely spend some more time with her on our next trip to Rome - highest recommendation! Truly memorable tour experience!

Sara was an amazing tour guide who helped us navigate Rome so efficiently on a busy Sunday morning. She provided so many historical facts and really went out of her way to make sure we could maximize our tour despite having a tour right after us. We had an amazing afternoon with Sara at the Vatican, everything from organising the tour to meeting on the day was so smooth, she helped us with so much. The tour itself was outrageously good, I can’t recommend her enough. As a teacher Sara tailored content so well for us, my husband who often struggles to stay interested in big museums was hanging off her every word!! She showed us pieces which were selected so well, they told such a clear story about the history of the state, we both came away absolutely in awe. Sara vast knowledge of history and explaining the ruins and sites was absolutely incredible! Sara was a really great guide. All communication was good and she went out of her way to make sure we had the best tickets for the Colosseum and Forum and also then booked us an amazing restaurant for dinner afterwards. She was really informative and pitched the tour perfectly so as to keep our 16 year old daughter engaged too. We did have some rain showers during our tour and Sara managed it so we did not miss anything but also avoided being drenched! From the start, Sara was very responsive. She reached out almost immediately after booking to find out more about us and what we were looking for. She was able to accommodate our diverse group - including 2 vegetarians and 2 octogenarians. Sara is amazing. She knew we had done some tastings before and worked hard to find different local specialties for us. We really wanted to experience Trastevere and Jewish Ghetto and she took us to some many great spots that we all loved. Sara was our guide through two marvelous days in Rome. In addition to being our docent, she helped us arrange our train tickets from Florence, tickets to the Colosseum and the Vatican.
