I couldn't believe how quickly the 5 hours went by! Jordi was engaging, passionate, and thoughtful during our entire time together. Walking through various areas of the city, he re-introduced me to Barcelona from a historical, cultural and architectural perspective. It was truly the best way to start my 2 weeks visit as I had a great grasp of the different areas and where I wanted to go back to spend more time. Federico was fabulous. He is a very pleasant guide with an enormous amount of patience and knowledge. We didn’t feel rushed and we learned a lot. He calmly answered all our questions and let me rest whenever I needed. My 18 year old son said he was a chill dude and my 16 year old daughter said he’s cool. Would recommend without hesitation.

My wife and I were in Barcelona for three days following a 2-week Mediterranean cruise, and we had no plans in place. I found Ivanna on the "With Locals" website... it was somewhat last-minute, but thankfully she was available. Our 4-hour personal tour was excellent. She started by showing us (and teaching us about) the sights and architecture around La Rambla. She even showed us a "hidden" Roman wall that most people - including many who live in Barcelona - were unaware of. As she learned more about our interest in the culture, people, and history, she walked us through the old, and new, sections of the city. She pointed out architectural points, even explaining that one of the most famous churches in the Gothic district wasn't actually original to that time, even though it looks like it should be - and she had photos to prove it! She gave us history lessons, told us stories, and helped us to "feel" the city we were visiting. We stopped for a drink at one of her favorite locations - Els 4 Cats - where Picasso used to meet with his friends... and then she was kind enough to introduce us to the owner and surprised us with reservations for dinner there the next night. Bottom line, Ivanna offered us not only the best private tour we've ever experienced, she shared herself and her love of the city with us... she was wonderful. If you're looking for a personal approach, look no further. Hire Ivanna without reservation - you'll be very glad you did.Best personal tour we've ever had!

My girlfriend and I had a great dancingnight with Gonzalo and his wife. They took us to a dancing place in Gracia. We had our first lesson in bachata and salsa with a couple of other people in the bar. We learned the first basics of bachata, also as a couple. Contact with Gonzalo and Rebecca was easy and nice. We loved the walking food tour with our guide. We were a family of 4, with an 11-year-old child. She made it fun and interesting for all of us. We learned about the history of Barcelona and saw some interesting things along the way to the restaurants, like a folk festival with dancing and a band, and a parade as well. The tapas we got to pick out at the restaurant were enough to count as a meal. The dessert we had at the restaurant next door was heavenly!Great food tour in Barcelona!

This was my first Withlocals walking tour and I will now now be doing walking tours for all my future travels to new cities! We had the best experience, it was one of the highlights of our trip! Lusi is great - she has such good energy, she is so welcoming and goes above and beyond to accomodate any needs you may have! What a great introduction to Barcelona! Jordi guided us away from the main drag pointing out significant sites and explaining the history of the city particularly from an architectural perspective. Jordi was friendly and outgoing and his introduction to Barcelona was the perfect launching point for our 5-nights in Barcelona recommending point of interest including day trips. Jordi’s style was easy going and relaxed. He knows his stuff and shared an enormous amount of info during our morning walk. Great introduction to Barcelona and Gaudi!

We met our guide, Fiorella, on our first full day in Barcelona. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to show us some of her favourite spots in the city.
