We had the most lovely tour with Alessandra— you should absolutely book with her! She is a warm and knowledgeable host who knows all the ins and outs of Florence. She joined my family of two parents and two teenage girls and took us into an area I would not have found. It was like seeing all of the local spots buried in a touristy area - beautiful! We loved visiting a few old churches (with incredible frescoes and histories to enjoy), and squares, and got to take in a beautiful view, as well as some modern art. After learning that we are avid readers, she found a lovely bookshop/cafe for us to relax and cool down with a coffee and snack - we were the only Americans there, which I can’t say about anywhere else we have visited! She also found us some tickets to a classical music concert for that evening, AND dropped us off at a wonderful trattoria (again- local!) for lunch. She really tailored the day to what we wanted. Dina was extremely helpful and a great resource for us in Florence! Alessandra gave sus the perfect walking tour. She was able to tailor our time with her to give us a real flavour of Florence. We had many questions about its history and also that of Italy and she was able to answer them all bringing Florence through the ages to life with stories about key figures. We did a tour with Eduardo as our intro to Florence . He was very communicative , friendly and accomodating from the start . Giuly was wonderful! We asked her to put together a personal tour of the Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens for my nephew and myself and Guily delivered. She was thorough and yet provided space to allow our experience of what she was showing us. We found this to be a nice balance of information and experience. Not only that but she connected our experience with other historical landmarks in relation to the Palace and Gardens that were in different parts of Florence. This gave us a larger perspective of understanding the time in which we were peering into. Guily herself was delighful, light hearted, and attuned to our experience and pacing. She was helpful with other recommendations about what to do in the city from resturants to piazzas. My 18 uear old nephew even commented that it was one of his favorite tours because it was so easliy informative but digestable. Giorgio took us on a great food and local knowledge tour of Florence. We started with a very informative stroll through the farmers market. Next, we walked through the streets as he explained some of the historic buildings and the stories behind them. Along the way, we stopped at several places and sampled food and beverage that the locals enjoy. It didn’t seem like we had enough time. Dina took us on a great tour of the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia Gallery. She was very responsive in planning our tour and made adjustments based on what I requested. She was willing to do less than the usual 4 hour tour since we thiught that would be too long for us. Dina was such a great guide that she made our time at the museums one of our favorite activities. She knew just the right pace to go and how much detail to give us to keep it interesting for our group of six. Aside from being so informative she was so fun and easy to be with. Giorgio has a wonderful laid-back demeanor. His knowledge of the foods in Florence and other regions of Italy is impressive. We learned so much and he was able to answer all our questions in detail. We were a group of friends, some of us had been to Florence before and some for the first time. We wanted to explore the city with an expert guide, someone who had the inside track on not just the most popular spots, but also those hidden gems which only a city with the history of Florence can offer. Alessandra was an amazing guide with whom we spent the entire day. She knew when we needed a coffee break, just to rest the feet for a bit. She also took us to an amazing local restaurant where the pasta was absolutely delicious and only €7 a head. There were so many interesting sights, including a rooftop view of the city from an ancient tower, a boutique perfumery which was originally run by Dominican friars and several frescoes and paintings in small churches you would never find yourself. I can really recommend Alessandra if you want to delve into this historic city. A wonderful day exploring Florence

We loved our family tour with Dina. She kept our 6 and 9 year olds entertained for the 2 hour walking tour. Dina is friendly and the stories she told us of Florence we would never have learnt about by ourselves. After hearing our girls liked art and craft she took us into a store where the lady showed us how they do marble paint designs. Then Dina took us to her fav gelato store!
