Laura is a wonderful guide! She gave great insight and took us from Saint Bartholomäus church, through local markets and all the way to the European Central Bank. She taught us about the history of the city as well as the current vibes to enjoy today. Great tour! Sampling everything Frankfurt has to offer. Laura is an incredible guide who knows all of the local cuisine. We never felt like we were at a tourist spot! Everything from local bakeries, apple wine and pretzels to the best sausage in Germany!Wow!

I had the opportunity to spend a few hours with Ahmed during a long layover. He was exceptionally helpful guiding me through the train system to reach our meeting point. When we finally met he was very flexible with our plans and tailored the tour to meet my expectations. We were the second half of the tour group that Peniel took and Food and History tour. He was very informative. He not only took us to try great food but he told us about the history of the city; both good and bad. He obviously loves his city ad his job, and he showed it constantly. We all enjoyed the tour and would recommend him to anyone who wanted a guide in Frankfurt. He did a great job taking us to different places, even with some mobility issues.

We have 3 kids and have found a “food tour” is a good way to get some local history, while having little food intermissions to keep the kids from getting bored. Penny was an excellent host, knew all sorts of city history, patiently answered the kids questions, gave lots of nuanced and interesting tid bits…and we got to try several interesting and tasty items from local cuisine. The walking is minimal and flat (if that’s important for you). Penny also gave us several recommendations on other places to visit in the city during our trip. Would absolutely recommend this tour and Penny as a guide!Fun and informative - highly recommend

Couldn’t fault our walking tour of Frankfurt with Peniel. He was a great guy with a fantastic insight into the history of the city, its landmarks and hidden secrets. He takes time to find out your interests and tailors his tour to what YOU want to do. Even if you don’t know what you want, you could just let Penny take the lead! We had only just arrived and this tour set us up with getting our bearings and giving us the confidence to explore further! He even advised us of areas to visit off the beaten track including eateries away from the tourist areas where locals frequent! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend hitching up with Peniel for a tour! I was fortunate enough to have Laura as my tour guide. First she generously allowed me to reschedule when my flight was delayed. Then she gave me an amazing tour of her city. I had a great time touring with Laura. Frankfurt was especially busy with tourists (like me) but we were able to meet up and had a good tour. I was able to see the Christmas villages, go to an amazing market, stroll through Roman ruins, and a number of other places. She knew of some quieter less traveled places which were beautiful and serene. We also tried some food from a famous sausage stand along the way. Laura was generous with her recommendations and time and I enjoyed the tour. Would recommend.Great time exploring Frankfurt

Laura was great! It was a wonderful mix of local culture, history and yummy food. I was not given the option to join a group so I had to book one on my own. As a single person it was quite expensive, but I knew hopping on a tour when I first get into a new city is priceless. I appreciate the flexibility when booking a private tour, but I would love to have options with With Locals to join a group as a single traveler at a lower price. I am giving a price-value rating 10/10 because I don't want this to affect Laura's rating, but I would like to really rate it 5/10 for a 3 hour walking tour at over $400.Would highly recommend!

Can't say enough positives about Laura. We booked this food tour on a Sunday without knowing that really nothing is open on Sundays. I wish we would have been told that before the tour. Laura tried her best to entertain us as it became a walking tour of a closed city. Laura did her best with what she had to work with. She's very informative and we enjoyed her time but this wasn't the tour we thought we were doing. Frankfurt is closed on Sundays

Laura has been a great guide and besides the usual famous spots, has also shown us places in Frankfurt where we definitely would not have gone on our own. The 3-hour tour was just right and well-paced for walking. The local snack from a stall with an 80-year old history was simply delicious. Laura was also most accommodating.
