I am Nadia’s friend Kathryn who went on the tour with Quidad around Marrakesh. Definitely book Quidad before your trip she was absolutely excellent it was definitely worth having her guide us around the sites and negotiate things for us . She had excellent English and history of Marrakesh . She organised little things for us for example a tuk tuk ride around the souks in Medina instead of having to walk in the heat and narrow streets. We met Ouidaad as a stranger and left as friends , she was excellent in many ways. Cheerful and kind as we met her at the Bahiya Palace gates , we were very lucky the weather was cool for June and we learnt a lot about Moroccan culture. Myself and my friend kathryn had a relaxing yet very informative time and Ouidad always I helped me get good prices for things I wanted to buy in the market. Redouan a été mon guide avec une visite personnalisée pour mes quatre premières heures à Marrakech. La rencontre s'est faite de manière très simple et flexible dans mon Riad. En raison des longues attentes à l'aéroport, j'ai été retardée et Redouan a eu la gentillesse de reporter notre rendez-vous de 45 minutes. Après un agréable échange cognitif autour d'un délicieux thé à la menthe, nous avons commencé le tour par une visite du Musée de la musique de Mouassine, spontanément proposée par Redouan étant donné mon intérêt pour la danse. Le bâtiment est très joliment décoré dans un style marocain traditionnel. De plus, il y a un restaurant avec une terrasse sur le toit qui offre une belle vue. Le fait d'être accompagnée par Redouan a été un grand avantage car il a pu me raconter et m'expliquer les différents types de rythmes, d'instruments, de danses et de traditions que l'on connaît au Maroc. Nous avons ensuite visité le jardin secret et la madrasa de Ben Youssef (magnifique!), là encore la compagnie de Redouan m'a été très utile, nous avons évité toutes les files d'attente et il m'a expliqué plusieurs détails qui m'auraient sûrement échappé si j'avais été seule. Ensuite, notre visite s'est poursuivie vers des Suq supérieurs, que j'ai eu le plaisir de visiter sans me sentir obligée d'acheter. A ma demande, nous sommes allés chez un vendeur d'épices où, après une présentation des différents produits, j'ai fait mes achats et j'ai pu visiter la belle terrasse avec vue. Enfin, Redouan m'a emmené dans un Suq avec de la nourriture de rue très local, où j'ai eu la chance de boire un café du désert épicé d'une qualité exceptionnelle. Sur le chemin du retour, nous sommes passés par d'autres Suq où divers artistes m'ont gentiment fait des démonstrations et expliqué leurs méthodes de travail. Redouan a été d'une extrême gentillesse tout au long du trajet. J'ai trouvé très agréable que nous rencontrions souvent par hasard des gens qui le connaissaient et le saluaient chaleureusement et qui, par conséquent, me saluaient de la même manière. Bien que pressé par une autre visite un peu plus tard, Redouan a eu la gentillesse de me reconduire à mon Riad car je n'étais pas sûre de pouvoir m'y retrouver seule. Dans la soirée, il a également eu la gentillesse de répondre à plusieurs de mes messages lui demandant les noms de certains restaurants que nous avions croisés et qu'il m'avait recommandés pendant le tour. Un grand merci donc à vous Redouan pour votre temps, votre flexibilité et votre gentillesse. La prochaine fois, je vous apporterai des tablettes de chocolat suisse, c'est promis! My friend and I booked this personal tour with Redouan because it was our first time in Marrakesh and we wanted to get a first impression and overview of this vibrant city. We preferred a route that was not one of those taken by most of the tourists and Redouan chose it wisely. We could enjoy Ben Youssef Medersa without having too many other tourists around us, we wandered in the Souks and could watch the locals while doing their daily jobs, selling their traditional products; it was a memoriable experience and we felt very well looked after by Redouan. Instead of the busy Majorelle Garden our guide that spoke very well English brought us to The Secret Garden and the visit was worthwhile. We could take a break from the busy streets we had walked and enjoy the plants and well maintained garden. Redouan took us on a ride with the Tuktuk through the narrow alley and this was adventurous and big fun! We had a laugh! We felt very safe during the 5,5 hours and Redouan answered all our questions and this was very informative. My husband and I booked a bespoke medina tour with Redouan to seek artisanal craft and he really delivered. We were taken to see handmade leather goods, beautiful brass lighting, antique doors and ceramics, Berber jewellery and rugs, handmade ceramic tiles…….. There was no pressure to buy but we will go back on our own when we’ve had a think as to which goods we actually want. I would definitely recommend him and would book with him again. C'est Adil qui nous a accueillis sur la place Jamaa El Fna, nous avons fait une belle visite du centre de Marrakech. Il a été très prévenant et nous a fait bénéficié de sa large connaissance de l'histoire de la ville, ce qui a donné un intérêt tout particulier à cette visite guidée. Il nous a indiqué un très bon café lorsque nous avons voulu faire une pause, nous y avons dégusté un délicieux thé à la menthe et des pâtisseries. We met with Ouidad as a group of 12 female entreprenuers, all keen to to understand a little more about life in Marrakesh, as well as developing negotiation skills in the Souks too. What we got was so much more.... Ouidad was inviting and welcoming from the very start. She made the organising of the tour super easy and asked for anything in particular we wanted to know about. Her humour and ability to tell stories was incredible. We visited a pharmacy and learnt more about Argan oil and it's properties, plus had a wonderful lesson on how to do sales without being pushy. The team here were also a joy to listen too and many of the group shared what a fabulous insight this part of the tour was. I would not hesitate to recommend Ouidad as a tour guide. It was a great guide who really let us enjoy the tasty things in Marrakesh. Super friendly and nothing was too much. Even more information about other things you wanted to know. What a fantastic 3 hours we spent with Redouan discovering hidden gems in Marrakech. His knowledge of Moroccan history is outstanding and fascinating to hear and he was greeted warmly by so many of his friends in the souks. On the tour itself we covered so much from the mosques and the Jewish quarter, to the stunning Bahia Palace and of course the medina and the maze of the souks. Wandering around the artisan quarter was a highlight for us. It really felt like we were wandering around with a friend. As a family of 4 with 2 older teenagers it can sometimes be hard to find something that we all like to do, but this tour was most definitely a hit. Hassan was super !!!! Since we arrived late to the meeting he could’ve cut the tour short to keep the correct schedule but instead he took us with him for almost the all day, we had thé and lunch together, he explained us a lot and showed us the real part of the Medina. We originally had booked with a different tour guide but at the last minute were switched over to Elhoussaine. We didn’t think too much of it, but when we chatted briefly I had requested for recommendations on where to purchase certain items from the souks. What we did not expect is for the majority of the tour to be through the souks. Other than Koutoubia Minaret, we didn’t see any of the sights (Bahia Palace, Bab Agnaou, etc.). The rest of the tour was focused on the “back routes” of the souks. While appreciative of his taking us to a couple of shops to buy the items mentioned, that is not the tour we signed up for. Not what we expected

From the moment we met Ouidad we knew we were in very good hands. She is an amazing lady with a true passion for this amazing city. We were on a food tour but every moment was an experience we learnt so so much about the city, its culture and its people. We ate amazing foods but felt so full we were concerned about food waste but were reassured that all food would be repurposed and would find a good home. Juice to amazing sweet treats to olives to crepes to amazing lamb and much more. We also took in argon oils and similar. Honestly my daughter and I had a great morning with Adil. He knows everything and was a great guide. We had the opportunity to personalise the trip but very where we went was special and we were shown places we would never have found and met some really fascinating people. We were incredibly lucky to explore Marrakech with Jaafar on the day of Eid – a truly unique experience. The usually bustling souks were quiet and peaceful, giving the city a completely different, almost magical atmosphere. Jaafar made the most of this special day. He shared fascinating historical facts, gave us great tips for planning the rest of our trip, and even brought water to keep us comfortable. He offered deep insights into local life – from how traditional bakeries work to daily customs that you’d never find in a guidebook. It didn’t feel like a tour, but more like discovering the city with a knowledgeable local friend. Redouan was the ideal guide for our family of 2 adults and 2 girls (age 5 & 8). We did the tour on day 1 of our stay in Marrakesh which was perfect to find our bearings and ear mark places to go on other days. Redouan took us on a leisurely tour, leading us through the maze of alleys and introducing us to amazing artisans sharing their work. So patient and accommodating! It was my first time in Marrakesh (Morocco in general) with my 70 year-old mother and Rachid really made our mother-daughter trip AMAZING. He understood my mother’s pace and the sights we wanted to see and OUR schedule to see them. We learned a lot about Marrakesh from him and now, we even know where to go next in Morocco! 😉 Really opt for a private tour rather than w a group one or going to places on your own.
