Gennaro is a very kind and patient tour guide. I am somewhat of a slow walker and he was patient the entire tour. Thank you. Gennaro is a wealth of area knowledge and my husband and I learned so much from him. He showed us so many hidden gems and is a great driver to boot. Lunch was seaside with a wonderful view. Darío was our guide for our morning tour of the best local sights in the historic district of Napoli. He was kind, engaging, and very knowledgeable about all things Napolitano. Once he learned of our desire to taste some of the best local foods he quickly and eagerly customized our tour. He took us to some fantastic local food markets where we sampled fresh mozzarella and tomatoes. He also took us to a local coffee shop where his grandfather would take him when he was a boy. Later, he took my wife and I to have some of the best espresso I have ever tasted. During the entire tour he taught us about the history and culture of his great city from the ancient Greek, French, and English influences to the passion and reverence of the city toward Diego Maradona and their local football club. Carlo was charming and a brilliant guide. With his knowledge and storytelling he really brought Herculaneum and Pompei alive for us. He was endlessly patient answering our deluge of questions, and his descriptions and metaphors helped explain the architecture, engineering and geological phenomena. It’s just like a lasagne - so many layers! We really enjoyed the day and got so much more out of it than if we had struggled round on our own with an audio guide. Whilst it was an expensive treat, I would say it was very worthwhile having Carlo guide us.Outstanding!

Nino blends history, food, culture and fun. He was welcoming, warm and patient with our large group of adults and kids. He even chose streets for us to walk that would be easier for pushing a pram/ stroller. Walking away from Pompeii, my family and I decided we would not have been able to visit the incredible ruins without the guidance of Raffaele - he provided an informative and insightful experience, through the lens of both an archeologist and someone willing to cater to our personal interests. This tour was completely worth the cost, and we left feeling shocked and enriched by the level of detail we knew by the end of the 2 hours - we could have stayed for longer. I cannot recommend Raffaele enough. We were a group of nine (adults and teenagers) and were unsure if the tour would be suitable for our mixed group. However, we all thoroughly enjoyed the visit to Herculaneum and the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, which we would not have liked half as much without a guide. Raffaele taught us a lot about the places and also made a reservation for our lunch in a very nice pizzeria. It was easily the best tour during our cruise. Thank you, Raffaele!Excellent! Carlo spent a couple of hours with us showing us round a fraction of Pompeii. He is a proud local and this shone through in his enthusiasm. Raffaele gave us an excellent introduction to Naples in the short time we had to explore (6 hours). He allowed us opportunity to learn about Naples’ extensive history and culture, with a wonderful diversity of examples of art from exquisite churches to current topical street art. My wife and I came to Napoli for the first time and Gennaro treated us to a lovely experience. I found Gennaro on with locals and he was highly reviewed. He is very knowledgeable and was very helpful to planning our vacation. We met up for a mixed food and city discovery tour with Gennaro. He took us both by foot and in vehicle to see some of the most amazing sites. He took us down some paths less traveled, some incredible scenic views, and through the hustle bustle must see areas of Napoli. The multiple food stops along the way really was some incredible delicacies of sweet savory and of course, fried. After eating the multigenerational real deal Neapolitan pizza, I don’t think I can ever have pizza anywhere else again. It’s very difficult to put into words our tour with Gennaro, as I was quite moved by the end of it. Gennaro highlighted the complexities of this incredible city as he guided us around. He sees the city from the eyes of a local, but also from the eyes of an outsider, thanks to time he also spends away from Naples. He explained Naples’ history, how it developed, and how it works today. We walked the main streets, wandered the Spanish Quarter and also took the Funicular to see a truly amazing view of sprawling Naples. We learnt about the light and shade of the city, cultural elements, superstition, religion, food, music, tourism and education. Gennaro is so passionate about Naples and we were incredibly grateful for the time we spent with him (we also did a pizza making class and food tour with Gennaro - all incredible). Nino was a fantastic guide and gave a dollop of history and a full serving of food. He took us to several places that we wouldn't have found on our own and, as another reviewer said, took us to a place with the easily best mozzarella we've ever had. We also learned a lot about Neapolitan cuisine. I can't recommend it highly enough; you'll really enjoy your time walking, talking, and eating with Nino as your guide!The best food tour we've ever been on!

We had a great experience on the 10 Tastings of Napoli tour with Gennaro! He was a gracious and enthusiastic host, truly passionate about his hometown and excited to share it with our family. I’ve been looking forward to experiencing Pompeii for my entire life. Raf met and exceeded all our expectations. We booked a private transport from Sorrento, tour of Pompeii, lunch at a local winery, and subsequent tour of Herculaneum. We started with a pick up that was slightly delayed due to a traffic accident, but everyone worked with us, communicating multiple times to adjust our tours and lunch reservations. Raf had our tickets and we breezed through the line easily. He began our tour like a story teller, making certain we understood both the significance of the site and the history of the surrounding region. It was clear from the onset that Raf not only had a wealth of information to impart but was passionate about his subject. He answered all of our questions thoughtfully and expounded on several areas we were interested in. My only complaint was that that we only had two hours to explore, we certainly needed two weeks and will be back!! The frescos, shops, fountains, stepping stones, orchards, and gardens were just other worldly to see. Raf really brought the previously bustling city to life for us. Lunch was incredible with food and wine from the local winery. The founders grandson took care of us and was happy to tell us the history of the winery as well as the significance of each bottle we tasted. Raf then took us to Herculaneum for a continued picture of the time period of the Vesuvius eruption. Again his compassion and humanity were prominent in his tour. He spoke with care and reverence of the people who perished and who might have survived. Showing us delicate mosaics, architecture, and other Roman creations like sloped roads and areas for baths, shops, and private gardens. The entire day was truly once in a lifetime. I would highly recommend to anyone in the area! The most amazing day!
