We had a great time with Gennaro. He really made us feel like we were part of the city and enjoyed walking around the streets, enjoying the sights, sounds and tastes of local Napoli. Three of us travelled to Napoli for my mother’s 70th birthday and my partner fancied trying a food tour of the city. I’m not a big foodie, but I love history and Gennaro balanced a perfect mix of both. Raffaele was fantastic. We did a day trip from Rome with my husband and 2 kids (13 and 15). Unfortunately both kids were a bit unwell on the day, however, they still loved their Pompeii experience, largely due to the information and insights shared by Raffaele. He was friendly, easy to understand and able to answer any questions without hesitation. He is very passionate about the Pompeii site and the discoveries there. It was very busy on the day we were there, however, it did not bother us at all as Raffaele was able to take us on routes that were not overrun with people. It was a very interesting and enjoyable experience and I thoroughly recommend Raffaele.Raffaele was great!

We are a young couple on our early 30s from Spain. We did two amazing tours with Gennaro, one by walking and one by car, the first at the historical centre of Naples (including the Decumani, Pignasecca market and the Quartieri Spagnoli, plus recommendations for other areas) and the second outside of the city, through the Amalfi coast. It was our first time doing something like this, and Gennaro has exceeded all our expectations. Everything you can read on the reviews is true: he goes above and beyond to give you the best of Naples, whether you’re looking for culture, food, history or entertainment. We visited Napoli for 3 days; we heard so good about Napoli: its history, food and authenticity! We start looking for some tours, was plenty of guides and sites, but finally we found Gennaro and we booked a pizza class with him on this site! It was one of the most fun, nice, interesting, engaging experience we had in all our trips!! The pizza class was professional and at same time interesting! We ate the pizza we made and was so tasty and fulfilling! While sharing with us all the secrets for making our ow authentic napoletan pizza, Gennaro was also telling us history of food in Napoli and history of the city! He his so professional, knowledgeable, fun, and so easy to interact! As time passes we were convinced that all the reviews we red on this site they were not just true but they were excactly describing the personality of Gennaro! We felt after few minutes that we found a fantastic guide but also a new friend! Not only: his passion for Napoli made us choosing him as our guide for the rest of our days in Napoli: 3 days and 3 days touring with Gennaro! He was always on time, always showing all the attention with small deteils, very dedicated to us! Noemi could not have been more lovely and charming - she made all of us ( my wife and I and three 13 year olds) feel welcome and engaged on our journey through Pompeii. We had previoulsy passed by Napoli on the way to other places in the area (Capri, Ravello etc) but we had never dedicated time to discovering this fascinating city. On our recent trip to Campania, we made a decision to stay in Napoli for a few days to get to know it once and for all. We reserved a one day tour of the city with Raffaele who was very responsive when we booked our trip. He made sure that we were happy with the itinerary he proposed and was open to suggestions from us as to what we wanted to see and do. On the tour, he showed us around all the main sites, stopping on the way to delve into Napoli's history and culture. He was keen for us to get a real feel for the city and he shared some fascinating stories about its colourful and varied history, as well as details of current everyday life. Raffaele is very knowledgeable about his city and its history and he made every effort to ensure that we saw the most important as well as lesser known (and sometimes hidden from view) sites and he explained them well, at times with with fun fact stories, giving us suggestions of places to visit the next day on our own. He also showed us all the local food specialities and knew exactly where to go for the best caffe in town (and pizza clearly!). We would 100% recommend Raffaele as your guide for your trip to Napoli. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Gennaro. He picked us up at our AirBnb, which took the stress out of our morning. He told us all about the history of Naples and the Amalfi Coast. Our drive was relaxing, with beautiful views and commentary. Each stop was planned, so we could enjoy all of the sights, with time for extra exploring if we wanted. The food recommendations were perfect, and we visited the special pastry shop featured on Stanley Tucci’s Searching For Italy. We added an optional Wine and Food Pairing at a winery on the slopes of Mt. Vesuvius. It was a special ending of a perfect day. Gennaro was extremely helpful when we had to change our travel plans the following day, due to an unexpected train strike. Truly a 5 star experience!!Perfect day in the Amalfi Coast!
