Gennaro is a very kind and patient tour guide. I am somewhat of a slow walker and he was patient the entire tour. Thank you. Gennaro is a wealth of area knowledge and my husband and I learned so much from him. He showed us so many hidden gems and is a great driver to boot. Lunch was seaside with a wonderful view. Roberto was an absolute PLEASURE! He took extra time to tell us about the history of Napoli as well as interesting and fun “nuggets” of knowledge that enhanced our experience. The food was off the charts amazing, especially the fresh seafood, the Ragu, the buffalo cheese, the fried everything and of course, the Margarita Pizza. A plus plus plus!!! It’s very difficult to put into words our tour with Gennaro, as I was quite moved by the end of it. Gennaro highlighted the complexities of this incredible city as he guided us around. He sees the city from the eyes of a local, but also from the eyes of an outsider, thanks to time he also spends away from Naples. He explained Naples’ history, how it developed, and how it works today. We walked the main streets, wandered the Spanish Quarter and also took the Funicular to see a truly amazing view of sprawling Naples. We learnt about the light and shade of the city, cultural elements, superstition, religion, food, music, tourism and education. Gennaro is so passionate about Naples and we were incredibly grateful for the time we spent with him (we also did a pizza making class and food tour with Gennaro - all incredible). Our group loved spending the whole day with Noemi! Right out of the gate, as soon as I made my booking, she was a fabulous communicator. She arranged everything! She hired a FANTASTIC driver, and made sure to accommodate every single whim and wish on our list. We traveled the Amalfi coast, stopping along the way for food and shopping. She made us feel like family, taking care of everyone’s needs and preferences. We had THE MOST AMAZING lunch, right along the side of the road, not a restaurant, simply a shop, she did all of the ordering and we had the best, most authentic meal! We were delighted. And then, we reached Pompeii; this is where Noemi SHINES. She knows everything about Pompeii, not only does she know how to navigate and narrate it perfectly, but she has developed an internal treasure hunt, and little games along the way keeping you fully engaged and in the spirit of exploration. Nino was a fantastic guide and gave a dollop of history and a full serving of food. He took us to several places that we wouldn't have found on our own and, as another reviewer said, took us to a place with the easily best mozzarella we've ever had. We also learned a lot about Neapolitan cuisine. I can't recommend it highly enough; you'll really enjoy your time walking, talking, and eating with Nino as your guide!The best food tour we've ever been on!

Excellent tour! I was a lone traveler so it was just myself and Federica! The tour is the same price if you’re alone or a family but it was well worth it to me. I had limited time to spend in Napoli and wanted to make the most of it. She was very informative regarding the history of the area! You could tailor this tour to what you were interested in knowing and seeing. It was a well spent afternoon and I’m so glad I chose this. We went through local sights, local food market shopping, and neighborhoods I may not have discovered on my own. Being with a local was great! We had an espresso together and I was directed to a great pizza place for dinner. A great way to end my visit to Italy. Thank you!Excellent Tour! Well worth it!

We had a great experience on the 10 Tastings of Napoli tour with Gennaro! He was a gracious and enthusiastic host, truly passionate about his hometown and excited to share it with our family. I’ve been looking forward to experiencing Pompeii for my entire life. Raf met and exceeded all our expectations. We booked a private transport from Sorrento, tour of Pompeii, lunch at a local winery, and subsequent tour of Herculaneum. We started with a pick up that was slightly delayed due to a traffic accident, but everyone worked with us, communicating multiple times to adjust our tours and lunch reservations. Raf had our tickets and we breezed through the line easily. He began our tour like a story teller, making certain we understood both the significance of the site and the history of the surrounding region. It was clear from the onset that Raf not only had a wealth of information to impart but was passionate about his subject. He answered all of our questions thoughtfully and expounded on several areas we were interested in. My only complaint was that that we only had two hours to explore, we certainly needed two weeks and will be back!! The frescos, shops, fountains, stepping stones, orchards, and gardens were just other worldly to see. Raf really brought the previously bustling city to life for us. Lunch was incredible with food and wine from the local winery. The founders grandson took care of us and was happy to tell us the history of the winery as well as the significance of each bottle we tasted. Raf then took us to Herculaneum for a continued picture of the time period of the Vesuvius eruption. Again his compassion and humanity were prominent in his tour. He spoke with care and reverence of the people who perished and who might have survived. Showing us delicate mosaics, architecture, and other Roman creations like sloped roads and areas for baths, shops, and private gardens. The entire day was truly once in a lifetime. I would highly recommend to anyone in the area! The most amazing day!

The food tour was great however we had a difficult situation arise. One of the guys in our group was not feeling well and found it difficult to walk. Frederica’s husband was our guide and went above and beyond to accommodate us. We went to a few spots and when it became evident that one gentleman couldn’t handle the whaling he brought all the food tour us so we didn’t miss anything. We traveled with a two year old and not only was Donatella thoughtful in her choices of sights to engage our little one, but she always made sure to include him in everything we did. It was a pleasure to tour Herculaneum in Ercolano with Raffaele. Though it was certainly while discussing a somber topic, the time with Raffaele was informative and entertaining as he returned us to 79 CE while walking us through the Roman-era resort. So many details were pointed out, such as the uses of the various buildings, the day-to-day living of the occupants, and even the ways that the architecture was designed for easy living. In just two hours, we learned so much about Pompeii. Carlo was incredibly engaging, sharing insights you wouldn’t find in a guidebook. We had a group of eight of us on our historical walking tour and pizza-making class with Gennaro. I can't express how incredible our experience was! In all, we spent four hours with Gennaro, first with a walking tour of the Old Town, where we learned about the millenia of history that make Naples what it is today. We had two kids in our group, ages 10 and 12, and Gennaro did an exceptional job of making sure they followed everything and were involved in every detail (like when we went into a special shop that makes very unique Neapolitan nativities out of cork) and had all their questions answered. We learned about the historical gates of the city and went to the old fish and food market street. It seemed like everywhere we went, everyone knew Gennaro! He was kind, fun, and took every details into consideration and control, which was great in a city as busy and sometimes overwhelming as Naples! There are so many words that I can use to describe how amazing the pizza-making class was at Gennaro's apartment, but here are just a few: delicious, special, memorable, fun. I would take that class again! We all learned so much and enjoyed every moment of it. In all, I can't recommend Gennaro highly enough. Your group will enjoy your time with him! And we thank Gennaro for helping us with details that made our day in Naples even easier, such as helping to manage our luggage storage and transport.
