I ask a lot of questions. And Long had answers for all of them. I was looking for a tour that was interesting and fun, but that also provided the history, culture and stories of Angkor Wat- and wow did Long deliver. While I saw other guides along the way breezing past murals with just a few words, Long paused, and took the time to explain the stories - fact and fiction- behind the main points of interest, and of course take lots of questions. I also found our conversations about daily life in Cambodia very interesting. I hope I’ll come back to Siem Reap, and will 100% contact Long when I do.Patient knowledgeable historian

We’re a family of five touring the area and had a fantastic evening with Long. When rain showers passed through, Long adapted quickly—he arranged a tuk-tuk that comfortably fit all of us and adjusted the itinerary to include spots with good shelter, ensuring we could still enjoy the incredible street food that Siem Reap has to offer. Our eldest son loved the beef skewers so much that Long surprised him with an extra serving at the final stop, which was a thoughtful touch. My wife and I particularly enjoyed the Fish Amok and Beef Lok Lak—both uniquely Cambodian dishes that Long was clearly proud to share with us. On the ride home, Long made a spontaneous stop to pick up fresh coconuts for the family, which the kids absolutely loved. We have just returned from our 10 tastings of Siem Reap with Dorn. We have been lucky enough to experience food tours around SE Asia and all of them wonderful in their own way. Dorn presented Siem Reap street food the way the locals eat. No Michelin stars. Just hop on a tuk tuk and visit some amazing and challenging street food establishments either in a local restaurant or side of the street vendors. We experienced some amazing tastes. From delicious beef skewers over charcoal and fantastic noodle dishes to challenging our taste buds with eating crickets, silk worms and cicada. Surprisingly, they were really tasty. Dorn is a fantastic host and never pressured us in trying foods that he felt we wouldn't like. He is super friendly and is very knowledgeable about the history and culture of the Siem Reap food scene. We thoroughly recommend this tour.Amazing tastes of Siem Reap.

I looked into multiple tour guides before deciding on Long and I’m so glad all my research led to him because he gave us the best experience in Cambodia! Our food tour was delicious and being Americans he made sure all the food and drinks were safe for our more delicate stomachs. Long is a walking encyclopedia of knowledge about Cambodian history and culture. We learned so much from him! My partner and I did the food tour with Long an we cannot rate this experience highly enough! Long chose a great variety of places from sit down redtaurants to street food, introducing us to a whole range of taste experiences. I'm a pesceterian and he had no problems accommodating me. The highlight was the street food on 60th Rd. I will be dreaming of the delicate and delucious fragrances and tastes for a long time; we finished every last morsel! We had hired Long for this day as a guide for a visit to Angkor Wat, the Bayon Temple and the Ta Prohm (Tomb Raider temple). Long is a very dedicated guide who knows a lot about the history of these temples. He speaks clear and calm English. Tuktuk driver and unlimited cold water were available. We did a sunrise tour with Long, and we were not disappointed. It was the first day of Khmer New Year and we saw all the local dignitaries getting ready to welcome the king to Angkor Wat. What a once in a lifetime experience for us and our two kids aged 10 and 8. Long was very knowledgeable about Cambodian history and told us some amazing stories about Buddhism and Hinduism. Our kids really enjoyed those stories, as did we! A wonderful Khmer New Year tour

My partner (both 28) and I had a great time with Dorn on our tour which was over Cambodian new year. Many of the normal spots were shut so Dorn took us to a more secluded collection of stops. The food was really good, but moreso Dorn's explanation of the different cuisines and Cambodian influence in food. He then took us round the town for Cambodian new year, to show us how everyone celebrated. It was overall great fun! Thanks Dorn.Great personal experience

Long introduced us to some amazing Khmer food! Banh Mi, Fish Amok, Beef with red ants, some great chive dumplings and much more! Completed with the sweetest coconut water I ever tasted. When he real used some of our group members were willing to be adventurous - he was happy to let us taste crickets and silk worms too! He was so accommodating and helpful too. His English was good and we discussed many topics beyond the food! Would definitely recommend Long for this food tour and other guided tours too😊Amazing food experience with Long!

The trip with Long to the temples was great! Usually these kind of trips a bit boring, but he managed to make it interesting. He took us to a great spot for sunrise photos and after that explained thoroughly everything about Angkor Wat. His English is great, even our 11 year old understood. Long is very well educated on the history of the Khmer empire and about Hinduism and budism. What was a very pleasant surprise were his skills with the phone camera, he made great photos of us! I would fully recommend to anyone wanting to learn about the history or just wants to have a pleasant conversation!Better than expected

We have done a number of food tours and this one with Long has been the best one we have done! Long is a genuinely nice guy who is very easy to have conversation with. He can speak excellent English. He took us to a variety of places both in the city (casual and more formal restaurant) as well as a rural street market so that we could experience a broad range of Cambodian food. Long gave a really good tour of the temples at Angkor. He was able to communicate all of the key information about the Temples and could answer all of my questions. I did not feel rushed at any time and we took plenty of stops to admire the view before continuing. The driver was always ready to pick us up to take us to the next location. Long was able to show me what life was like in the Angkorian period using additional images to help explain what I was seeing. Him and our wonderful tuk tuk driver were already waiting for me for the early pick up at 5:30 am and I had a great opportunity to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat. Long is the man! He is VERY knowledgeable about Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples. He told us the history of the different temples and was patient when we asked questions. Since he is a former school teacher, you can really tell he has a passion for teaching. In the morning, Long met us at our hotel on time and knew the best spot for seeing the sunrise at Angkor Wat. Throughout the tour, he took great pics of us in scenic spots and his tuk tuk driver always had cold water available. He was a pleasure to talk to when traveling between temples and we learned about Cambodia and its more recent history. He gave us many good restaurants to try and even a recommendation for a private driver to Phnom Penh. We had a great day with Long at the Angkor Wat temples and during the sunrise tour. He gave us new insights into the temples by explaining the history and importance and was very kind and considerate along the way. Long knew all the great spots to take photos and offered to make plenty of them. He also gave great insight into modern day Cambodia and how the locals live by talking about his own experiences. Communication was easy through WhatsApp and he was on time on both days we were going on a trip with him. The tuktuk was also great, they always had cold water waiting for us whenever we left the temples (it was needed, it was very hot). Ngoun took my wife and I on a one day trip to Ankhor Wat and other temples + a one day tour to a waterfall, the lying Buddha and the floating village. We particularly enjoyed the amazing tour Ngoun had put together for us on day one. we always enjoyed the second day. We had the best experience of Angkor Wat solely because of our tour guide, Long. He is extremely knowledgeable of the history and culture of not only Angkor Wat but also Siem Reap. John shared his extensive knowledge with us exploring the major temples of Angkor Wat. He is also a great picture taker, angling our way into the best photo spots and taking lots of pictures for us. After about 5-6 hours of exploring, we were hot and tired. John kindly asked us if we wanted more small temples or to go directly to the last major temple. We opted to go to the major temple but I know John would have been happy to continue showing us around longer. Would definitely recommend John for a day at Angkor Wat.Great day with John
