I wanted a guide to show me around El Cabanyal district as it seemed very interesting to me as a photographer. Valentin was my guide, he is a also a very good a photographer and so was able to adapt to my requirements with ease. He is very Knowledgeable and great to chat to and get along with. Maria is a knowledgeable and friendly guide. We learned a lot about the artists and specific images we had been walking by all week. There is so much graffiti and paintings in Valencia. Choosing what to view and discuss is a challenge. We became more observant after the tour. We would like to know more about the relationships between those who paint images and those who paint script and initials only. Also, we also want to know more about those who choose own walls to paint and those who are paid by property owners to paint on their gates and walls. Great context for art we see

With only two days in Valencia we wanted a family friendly tour to show us some of the key and hidden sights of the area. Maria was wonderful with the kids and showed us alot of sights in the city that we wouldn't have otherwise stumbled across. We learned about some of Valencia's traditions, explored a historic bakery, and learned about the street art amongst other interesting topics. She was great with our girls as well who where 5 and 7. We did two tours with Maria: a general guide around the centre of Valencia taking in (amongst others): Central Market; Silk Exchange; the palace housing the ceramics museum as well as a number of churches. The second, foodie tour focussed mainly around the narrow streets of the northern central part of the city (Barrio del Carmen) taking in on the way the Cathedral and Basilica, Parroquia de San Nicolas and Torres de Serranos. We thoroughly enjoyed Maria’s description of the buildings as well as some of the city’s history. We had three food stops taking in, amongst others, a small former pharmacy turned into a barInsightful tour, lovely lady

We can't say enough good about the amazing tour of Valencia with Marcos. He was the perfect host! We rode through the old town, stopping at sights along the way when Marcos would explain the history, culture, and meaning of each place. He used his ipad to show us photos of old Valencia and how it's grown to the city of today. We also biked through the center of the city and along the park bike path to the Opera House, Science Museum, and the CaixaForum. We felt like we saw so much of the city and really got an excellent overview of its history and geography. Marco answered all our many, many questions and sent us information about things to see and restaurants to visit - it was above and beyond. Plus Maroc's love of Valencia was enchanting and contagious and we now love Valencia, too. Thank you so much for such a fantastic tour!The Perfect Day in Valencia with Marcos!

Maria took 15 of us (all students learning Spanish) on a walk around the city. The feedback from the students was fantastic! They loved how responsive Maria was to their wishes eg that she spoke Spanish and also English to explain the history of this beautiful city. Also, that she showed us the traditional sights as well as more alternative ones. Maria's warm personality made us all feel very welcome and her knowledge about the sights kept us interested. Marcos introduced his beautiful city of Valencia to our group of six in October. He kindly met us at our hotel and showed us round some of the key sights and streets of the city plus a few lesser-known ones. The tour ran over by 30 minutes as he was so keen that we didn’t miss out on anything. He also texted info to us afterwards about restaurants and local transport that was very helpful. The pace of the tour was perfect and the history and knowledge he shared was pitch perfect - giving context, interest and colour to everywhere we visited. His English was excellent so we never struggled to understand. Marcos has such warmth and passion for Valencia that we also fell a little in love with the city. Our group of 10 experienced the “Highlights Hidden Gem Tour” with Marcos on September 3, 2024 We confused our meet up time with Marcos by 1 hour but we were grateful Marcos was still able to lead us on our tour of Valencia without rushing us even though we had been late. Marcos' passion for his city and knowledge was evident as he proudly led us through the city’s historic area. He answered our many questions and was easy to understand and very pleasant. He arranged for our group to have lunch at one of his favorite restaurants. All enjoyed the paella, saying it by far was the best they had while in Spain. I highly recommend Marcos as a tour guide. We were extremely pleased with Maria's knowledge and enthusiasm about Valencia. It's history, and current places of interest. She took the time to expain and listen and managed to keep all interested. We were a group of 9 from 3 different continents, yet she managed to keep all together. To top our tour off, she managed to get us into a restaurent all together just as the city got its first downpour is months!
