Zwei Tage lang hat uns Mona durch Warschau geführt. Dank ihr haben wir einen tiefen Einblick in die Geschichte, Architektur und das Leben in dieser Grossstadt erhalten. Mona war extrem freundlich und hat uns mit ihrer offenen, positiven Art begeistert. Sie hat die zwei Führungen perfekt für uns massgeschneidert und genau unsere Wünsche berücksichtigt. Mona didnt just show us the taste of Polish foods but shared her cultural experience with us. We learned more than just the foods local people served their family but the history and the origin of these foods like what her grant parents grew on their farm. She took us on the tram and subway and told us they were free for seniors like us. We took advantage of this experience and went around Warsaw easily. Thank you Mona. Poor guy. No knowledge. No English abilities. Walking around like a stray dog. No idea why we were strolling in places that have no meaning or interest. Seen two graffiti and two statues. Had mild knowledge to explain what we are seeing. After two hours of marching for no apparent reason we told him it would be enough. Total waste of time and money. And sore legs.Worst ever

From minutes after I booked Sebastian was attentive to our needs and interests. We asked for a tailored tour around the Warsaw Uprising time period and he took us to areas and showed us places we would never have found on our own. We stopped for lunch at a Milk Bar, a communist holdover, and enjoyed a traditional polish lunch. Again, we wouldn’t have known about milk bars without our guide. After lunch we headed to the Royal Castle where Sebastian shared his extensive knowledge of both the building and its previous inhabitants. The day after our tour Sebastian texted me information on what we planned to do that day and also ensured we knew it was the 81st anniversary of the Uprising and where to be at a specific time to honour the day. Again, can’t say enough good things. Thanks Sebastian.Don’t miss your for an amazing experience!

Wir hatten unsere eigene Führung mit 4 Personen mit Mona, die über 3,5 Stunden dauerte und uns Warschau und seine interessanten Orte näher brachte. wir waren mit Sebastian begeistert unterwegs. Es war genau das, was ich mir gewünscht hatte. Es war infomativ, unterhaltsam, komfortabel in seinem Auto und an manchen Orten zu Fuß. Wir haben viele Dinge erfahren über die Geschichte meiner 6fachen Urgroßeltern , die jüdische kKaufmannsfamilie Szmul Zbytkower und Judyta Jakubovicz. Das steht nicht alles im guidebook oder im Internet, besonders, welche Bedeutung sie für die Geschichte Warschaus hatten. Sebastian kennt alle Hintergründe, kann die Geschichte auch politisch einordnen. Es war eine große Bereicherung und ein einmaliges Erlebnis. in 3 Stunden sahen wir den Stadtteil Praga mit jüdischem Friedhof, altem Gelände des Anwesens von Szmul, aktuelle Nachbarschaftsaktionen der bestrickten Straßenpoller; alte russische Kaserne, Wandmalereien; Hinterhöfe, Kapellen uvm. Sebastian spricht sehr gut deutsch. Der Ausflug hat viel Spaß gemacht und sich sehr gelohnt. auf den Spuren der Vorfahren in Praga

Die Food Tour mit Mona war ohne Zweifel eines der absoluten Highlights unseres Aufenthalts in Warschau! Von Anfang an war sie herzlich, offen und unglaublich kenntnisreich – man merkt sofort, dass sie ihre Stadt und ihre Kultur liebt und diese Begeisterung gerne teilt. Wir haben eine fantastische Auswahl an traditionellen polnischen Gerichten probiert – von Pierogi, kalte Suppe mit Roter-Beete bis hin zu süßen Leckereien, die ich vorher noch nie kannte. Auch das Wodka-Tasting am Ende der Tour war sehr interessant. Mona hat nicht nur erklärt, was wir essen, sondern auch warum – mit spannenden Geschichten über die Herkunft der Gerichte, kulturelle Hintergründe und persönliche Anekdoten. Die Tour führte uns durch charmante Viertel abseits der Touristenpfade – Wir haben Ecken von Warschau entdeckt, die ich alleine nie gefunden hätte. Es war wie ein Spaziergang mit einer guten Freundin – entspannt, lustig und voller guter Gespräche. Ich kann diese Tour jedem empfehlen, der Warschau mit allen Sinnen erleben möchte. Wir hatten mit 10 Personen eine eigene Führung mit Mona. Die Treffpunktbeschreibung war sehr gut, wir konnten pünktlich starten. Mona hat uns sehr viel über Warschau erzählt und gezeigt. Ihr Deutsch war sehr gut zu verstehen, so dass wir viel mitgenommen haben. Mona hat uns auch schon im Vorwege viele nützlich Tipps zu Restaurants und Bars per Mail geschickt, sodass wir rechtzeitig vorab schon Plätze in Restaurants reservieren konnten. Mona is an excellent guide, really first class. She gave us a fascinating tour of the former Jewish ghetto in Warsaw. Her knowledge is clearly broad and deep, and she gave us the benefit of it in a way that never seemed as if she had done the same tour dozens of times. It was fresh, vivid, and always interesting, with stops at a variety of interesting sights and memorials to the ghetto, the uprising, and Jewish life in Warsaw of the past. Her English is excellent and she was good company. I wish we had been able to have a second tour with her, but her schedule and ours didn’t allow it. Our guide, Marcin, showed up sick. He was coughing, sweating, and was losing his voice. He should have passed the tour off to someone else. The actual tour took us by some interesting places,but he didn't do much talking because of his voice. He's a nice guy, but I would not recommend him. This is the first and last time I'll just tours with locals. Not worth the money

Wir hatten in Mona eine tolle Guide, die uns quer durch das Zentrum von Warschau an einige typische und traditionsreiche Orte führte. Neben vielen Antworten auf unsere Fragen, ein bisschen Plauderei und natürlich verschiedenen Speisen und Getränke, angefangen von herzhaften Piroggen über Rote Beete-Suppe, gefüllte Krapfen, jüdisches Gebäck, bis hin zu Wodka-Shots am Ende war alles dabei. I've been wanting to come to Warsaw to see where my grandmother came from. My grandmother lost many family members to the holocaust which I only learned as an adult through ancestry research, as my grandmother never spoke of the tragedies. Something about Mona spoke to me when I was looking to book a trip. Mona agreed to look at many documents I had with my ancestors addresses in Poland, to personalize the trip. The trip was all I had hoped for, and more. She is smart, warm, knowledgeable beyond belief about Jewish Warsaw and educated my husband and I about events we would've never otherwise understood. I was concerned that the trip would be emotional for me, and it was, but it was made to be sensitive, educational and even fun, albeit the dark subject of what happened to the Jews of Warsaw in World War II. I can't recommend Mona highly enough. Honestly, I'd enjoy spending time with her even without a tour. But, she is the perfect person for someone wanting to learn more, see what matters, enjoy the food, the culture, the people of Warsaw. An amazing experience. Mona is amazing!

We booked 2 tours with Mona. The 10 tastings of Warsaw & The Kickstart Tour of Warsaw on two separate days. We were 4 senior friends (2 couples) travelling together. Mona is a great historian and a foodie and she tailored our tour to our needs. Mona was friendly, respectful, knowledgeable and went at our pace. We were very comfortable with Mona and had an engaging tour with her. Mona answered all our questions as well as shared valuable information with us. During our food tour, Mona introduced us to local Polish cuisine and included information about the food, restaurant and its history as well as the history of the area we were in. During our kickstart tour Mona shared valuable information about the history of Warsaw/ Poland and she shared photos of pre war era of specific areas and buildings on her tablet. Unfortunately, the weather turned miserable with rain and heavy cold wind blowing during our tour. Mona escorted us into a building where we were warm and dry and she was able to continue her talk about the history of Warsaw. What a day! We were first of all very lucky with the weather, which always helps, but I think Mona would light up the day no matter what weather we would have. Very calm, friendly and patient. Her English is very good and she presented the stories in short and interesting ways. She talked about the history, but also included what the different buildings and areas were used for now. Giving tips on the way to other places to explore later. She never rushed us and made time for toilet breaks and sitting down.
