My wife and I only had one day to see many of the important sites in Milan. Our goal was to see the Duomo interior and rooftops, Sforza Castle, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and La Scala. Francesca and I messaged multiple times as we created a plan. She was always prompt and polite. The tour itself was wonderful. Fast and efficient. Francesca knows her way around the city and the made sure we hit the highlights are every stop. At La Scala, we were fortunate to see the beginning of an Opera rehearsal. We chose Francesca for this tour and so glad we did. She was absolutely wonderful and accommodating. My husband injured his knee and she was very mindful of his comfort. Her knowledge of Milan’s history is vast. We learned so much. She brought us to churches as this was our interest. We strolled through a lovely botanical garden. It happened to be fashion week so we detoured to the high end designer shopping district to window shop. She found a terrific cafe for lunch with the most delicious paninis. My son-in-law arranged for Omar to be our guide for what was my first trip to Italy and Milan, in particular. He was most informative and understanding as well. First of all, the Duomo is fantastic, and well worth the visit. We booked two tours with Omar -- the Duomo and also the Highlights and Hidden Gems. Omar is from Milan and an experienced guide. He was wonderful, and really made the Duomo -- which is amazing -- come to life. He knows the city like the back of his hand and was able to show us some wonderful things and really give us a feeling for their history and how they were used. We had my wife and mother-in-law for the Duomo part of things, and he was careful to make sure that my mother-in-law was OK with all the climbing. Omar is warm and funny and knowledgeable. Most of all, our guide, Serena, was outstanding and I would give her the max rating, but the language about the tour is completely misleading, so I'm reducing it to reflect that fact. The tour is titled "Your Way," and we booked this tour because we wanted to visit the Duomo and the Castelo di Sforza. We read that tickets were not included and were prepared to purchase our own, including those for our guide. But Serena told us she is not allowed to guide in either venue. Huh? We got the guide to visit and learn about these places. We have been using Withlocals for years and have always enjoyed the high-quality and engaging guides associated with you. Please don't turn into Viator. We did enjoy our walk around the city. We learned much from Serena and it's a shame we could not have her inside those two venues. You can tell that fashion is Sze's passion. He was able to bring together history, art, and architecture together to contextualize the journey of how Milan became so pivotal to fashion. With Sze's knowledge, you learn how to recognize quality beyond just brands. It's also worth noting how pleasant and flexible and pleasant Sze is. We customized our tour by adding Villa Necchi and Sze was even able to provide the tour in Mandarin to accommodate my parents! A MUST-DO TOUR!

We had an excellent 3 hours with Salvatore. We only had one day in Milan so needed an expert to show us the highlights in a short space of time. Salvatore did just that and told us amazing history and stories to bring things to life. He also takes amazing photos! We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Francesca is knowledgeable and a lot of fun. We were only in town for a day, so were looking to hit the highlights, and our tour was perfect for that. But on a longer visit, it would also have been a great tour to orient yourself before setting out to explore on your own. We had a brief stop over in Milan and when researching had found little other than Da’vinci’s Lords Supper of interest. We decided to try a kick start tour with Salvatore and it was fantastic. The tour covered the new and old Milan, the Sforzesco castle and canals we did not know existed. Despite Salvatores good knowledge about the city and places we visited it was not what we expected or booked. We booked a Navigli tour to get to know the area we were staying in but Navigli only was a very small part of the tour and it felt like Salvatore wasn’t really into the area, only telling us what we could have found online. The restaurant he recommended didn’t meet the expectations at all, felt like a tourist trap. Salvatore was very eager to visit a part of town we didn’t especially liked nor wanted to visit. It would have been better if he discussed the change of plans properly before the tour started. Not what I booked for

My grandson (11) and I had a rainy day tour with Salvatore and it was a little difficult to hear with our rainhoods over our ears. Nevertheless, he provided interesting facts about Il Duomo, the Galleria, and the Castello Sforcesco. The highlight was Navigli, an area we did not know and thoroughly enjoyed. Salvatore was accommodating, accompanying us to Decathlon to buy soccer balls for my grandson and skipping part of his planned tour that would not have interested him. Interesting Tour

My husband and I had a great experience on our walking tour with Salvatore. He had three rules, if we had a question to ask, if we needed or wanted to stop for something let him know, if there was anything specific we wanted to see let him know. Salvatore had many surprise viewing points throughout the tour that he had carefully curated for funny or historical stories…or both. He took a number of “Instagram worthy pictures” for us, and took us on the oldest tram in the city and the metro. He made sure to explain where we were going, how to use the transit, how much it cost and took the time to explain how we could get back to our hotels with transit or by foot. He even suggested an awesome bar for aperitivo and an additional attraction to see if we walked home. I would highly recommend Salvatore if you are up for an entertaining and educational tour of Milano! Great tour of Milano with Salvatore!
