Valerio was a great guide for our tour of Murano. He picked some really interesting smaller and larger local glass producers as he wanted to show us the full spectrum of glass making in Murano. He was a very good communicator, and a bit of a jokester - very engaging and adaptable to both our 9 year old and my 85 year old parents. Valerio is a glass gem!

We are 2 adults and 1 11 year old child. Valerio took care of us long before we met, explaining every detail needed, and answering questions. When we arrived at the meeting point, Valerio gave us a warm and funny welcome. He took us to 2 very special places, not the regular tourist stops. He was so informative and pleasant to listen to. A great tour courtesy of Valerio. Many guides introduce themselves and then it's off to reciting a script of facts. Valerio was nothing like that. He took the time to engage with each member of our group directly and, being a current resident of Murano, ensured we had a less touristic adventure. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the different glass work techniques from independent female artisans. And that 12th century Byzantine church is a must see even for those who are not religious.

Maybe saying a tour was smashing is not the best way to start a review about a tour of the island world-famous for glass, but there you have it. This tour was a smash hit! Valerio's tour allowed us to see a non-touristy and more genuine side of Murano, including the history of the glass industry, including how Murano artisans continues to innovate in both design and manufacturing. A visit to a local artist's studio allowed us to see first-hand the skill and creativity. We got to visit a couple of glass companies not really open to the public, learned more about how glass is made, and even got to see a church with incredible mosaic floors that we would have missed for sure. While visiting Venice, I had the pleasure of booking a tour with Valerio for fish shopping at Rialto Market followed by home cooking in Murano. The experience was nothing short of extraordinary and truly authentic. We began our day at Rialto Market, selecting fresh, local ingredients under Valerio's expert guidance. From there, we traveled to his lovely home in Murano, where he prepared a mouthwatering multi-course meal, perfectly paired with libations for each course. We took the Brunetti tour with Valerio last week. Valerio was very accomodating in adjusting our start time and meeting location. We had just arrived the previous day and were still getting up to speed. Needless to say, the tour was absolutely fascinating. We learned some very interesting facts about Venice as well as about Donna Leon and Brunetti's Venice. A most enjoyable 2 hours. If your a fan of Brunetti and visiting Venice, definetly look at this tour. It was the highlight of our trip. Aside form the tour, Valerio was extreemly helpful in giving us some recommedations for restaurants and some things to do in Venice and Murano. Die Erfahrung Venedig durch einen Einheimischen erklärt zu bekommen, ist einfach eine tolle Erfahrung. Wir haben ihm vorab geschildert, was wir uns von der Tour erwarten und er hat sie im Längen übertroffen. Er konnte alles erklären und ist auch auf alle Fragen eingegangen, die währenddessen aufgekommen sind. Einfach klasse. We had a fantastic afternoon in Venice in which we were taken in the history of Venice for 2 hours. Valerio has humor and really knows a lot about the city! He interacted super with our children aged 4, 7 and 11. Afterwards we received several tips so that we could get lost in Venice for the day. Setup a private tour walking tour in Venice with Valerio. It was my wife, myself, our two girls (3,8) and my mother. He meet us right at our Airbnb and we started from there. We walked es the maze that is Venice and he explained a ton of history and special little spots you really wouldn’t realize or maybe find on your own. He was very engaging with my daughters so that they could absorb the city as well. He setup an awesome time with Sarah a local mask workshop (she was amazing, friendly and super sweet with my girls), definitely a highlight of the trip! Highly recommend!!!! I would highly recommend Valerio to anyone interested in an easy paced wandering tour to really absorb what Venice is and what it has to offer. He also setup dinner reservations to an awesome local spot where the food was pretty dang good! Again I highly recommend him! Eine wirklich richtig schöne Tour, wie gebucht abseits der Touristenpfade!! Valerio gave us a total different insight into Venice - we got to know places where the locals are dealing with their everyday business and no other tourists around - not to talk about cool locations for a drink. The facts we learned were always decorated with interesting personal stories and there were plenty of fun moments as well. I’ve had a great experience with a local guide on a previous trip in Berlin and wanted similar for my first time in Venice. It’s really easy to stick to the “big ticket” attractions and spend all your time with other tourists. Valerio was great company and provided an entertaining personalised 2 hour walk through the winding back streets. He was unfortunately unable to dial down the summer heat but he took this on board and kept it as shady as possible. His restaurant and cafe recommendations were spot on ( the pastries are a wow!) and I now have my new favourite drink Select Spritz. Thanks Valerio. Wir waren mit Valerio zwei Stunden abseits der Touristenpfade unterwegs. Dabei haben wir viel über Venedig erfahren und gesehen, was wir bislang noch nicht kannten.
