Cecilia is obviously very knowledgeable and passionate about historic Rome. She was very accommodating with my wife who had been having health issues our first few days in Rome. We booked this tour because we wanted to learn more about the ancient unseen Rome. It was very interesting… things you find our only from local guides, with lots of experience. All in all we enjoyed the tour and recommend it (also our 13 old years kid enjoyed the tour)! Lovelly time!

The two visits to the underground museums were interesting and definitely off the beaten track, as we were the only ones visiting and had the whole place to ourselves. Cecilia reached out ahead of time to suggest that the best time to see the Colosseum was in the morning before it got too hot, and boy am I glad she did -- the day ended up being a scorcher. We had my 80 year old mother-in-law with us, and Cecilia was able to tailor the tour of Palantine Hill to limit the amount of climbing -- we skipped walking through the Forum, and instead she talked to us about the Forum as we admired it from above. She is very knowledgeable and all in all it was a great tour.Great tour

Our tour of the Colosseum with Cecilia on May 6th was terrific. To minimize the discomfort of two members in our group, that had sensitive knees, she walked at a moderate pace and built in adequate rest stops throughout the tour. Cecilia’s knowledge and enthusiasm made the Colosseum come to life by providing fascinating insights into its history and architecture. As we walked through the Colosseum, Cecilia pointed out details/areas we would have missed and patiently answered all of our many questions. She even brought along illustrations to help us better visualize how the Colosseum looked and operated when built versus how it appears today. Due to the steep incline and uneven path with cobblestones we declined touring Palatine Hill. However, that did not deter Cecilia, she found an area where we could sit and continued the tour using her illustrations...what a professional. I highly recommend anyone wishing to tour the Colosseum and Palatine Hill request Cecilia, you will not be disappointed. Knowledgeable and Illustrations

You are in Rome so that in and of itself is lovely - taking a private tour of the colosseum and forum makes it so much better. Our guide was amazing and by the time we were done was one of the family. Watching the big groups get herded around like cattle made all of us so happy we had an our guide created a custom experience for us. Would highly recommend!!So glad we did it

Clearly one visit to the Vatican, never mind Rome, will ever be enough to understand its history (we've been many times now) but spending time with highly knowledgable people makes the experience SO much more valuable. We visited the Vatican Museums and St Peters Basilica with Cecilia in December. Old buildings and iconic art is fascinating to my husband and me, but no so much to our 3 children (age 12, 11, and 8). Cecilia tried to make things interesting for the kids as well, which is not an easy feat. She was knowledgeable and friendly, and adjusted the tour based on our needs. We hired Cecilia for two tours while we were in Rome. One for the Colosseum and one for Vatican City. Cecilia was a great communicator, both prior to the tours and during. After booking, she reached out immediately to plan our tours and she was always quick to respond to any of our questions. Both tours were amazing. Cecilia provided insightful information and perspective. Her english was fantastic and she is incredibly knowledgeable about Roman history. We moved at a perfect pace, making sure to see everything we wanted, while not causing any delays. She even made sure to find stationary electric fans for us to stand by during her explanations as it was unusually hot for September. Very detailed explanations of what we were observing and reconstructions of what it looked like. A few days before our tour, Cecilia messaged me to let me know that she had tested positive for COVID so she arranged for our family to have a different guide. Before this, however, Cecilia helped us to get reserved tickets for the day we wanted the tour. This was no simple task because they were sold out at one time and we weren't sure we'd be able to have the tour. Cecilia watched for when new tickets were released and quickly sent a message to jump online asap to purchase the tickets. We were sorry that Cecilia was not able to guide us, but we wre very grateful that she arranged a different guide for us rather than cancel. Our new guide was fantastic! Excellent experience!
