Cecilia is obviously very knowledgeable and passionate about historic Rome. She was very accommodating with my wife who had been having health issues our first few days in Rome. In fact, it was the first time she had been out of the hotel in two days. Cecilia Mede sure to keep the place slow. Definitely would recommend Celcilia to others.

We booked this tour because we wanted to learn more about the ancient unseen Rome. It was very interesting… things you find our only from local guides, with lots of experience. All in all we enjoyed the tour and recommend it (also our 13 old years kid enjoyed the tour)! Lovelly time!

The two visits to the underground museums were interesting and definitely off the beaten track, as we were the only ones visiting and had the whole place to ourselves. You are in Rome so that in and of itself is lovely - taking a private tour of the colosseum and forum makes it so much better. Our guide was amazing and by the time we were done was one of the family. Watching the big groups get herded around like cattle made all of us so happy we had an our guide created a custom experience for us. Would highly recommend!!So glad we did it

Clearly one visit to the Vatican, never mind Rome, will ever be enough to understand its history (we've been many times now) but spending time with highly knowledgable people makes the experience SO much more valuable. We visited the Vatican Museums and St Peters Basilica with Cecilia in December. Old buildings and iconic art is fascinating to my husband and me, but no so much to our 3 children (age 12, 11, and 8). Cecilia tried to make things interesting for the kids as well, which is not an easy feat. She was knowledgeable and friendly, and adjusted the tour based on our needs. We hired Cecilia for two tours while we were in Rome. One for the Colosseum and one for Vatican City. Cecilia was a great communicator, both prior to the tours and during. After booking, she reached out immediately to plan our tours and she was always quick to respond to any of our questions. Both tours were amazing. Cecilia provided insightful information and perspective. Her english was fantastic and she is incredibly knowledgeable about Roman history. We moved at a perfect pace, making sure to see everything we wanted, while not causing any delays. She even made sure to find stationary electric fans for us to stand by during her explanations as it was unusually hot for September. Cecilia gave a group of six friends a great tour. Very easy to plan our tour and responsive to our requests. Very detailed explanations of what we were observing and reconstructions of what it looked like. A few days before our tour, Cecilia messaged me to let me know that she had tested positive for COVID so she arranged for our family to have a different guide. Before this, however, Cecilia helped us to get reserved tickets for the day we wanted the tour. This was no simple task because they were sold out at one time and we weren't sure we'd be able to have the tour. Cecilia watched for when new tickets were released and quickly sent a message to jump online asap to purchase the tickets. We were sorry that Cecilia was not able to guide us, but we wre very grateful that she arranged a different guide for us rather than cancel. Our new guide was fantastic! Excellent experience!

Cecilia engaged with them immediately and answered any questions they had (and they had many). She also kept it interesting for the adults. We really enjoyed our Express Tour of the Vatican with Cecilia! It was so nice to have her handle all the details—she purchased the tickets beforehand and guided us past the lines. It would have taken us forever to figure out where we were going. Once inside the museum, she was a wealth of information, very knowledgeable about the Vatican itself and all the pieces of art and architecture. She explained Michelangelo’s masterpieces in the Sistine Chapel before we entered and it was fun to be able to pick out the things she had pointed out to us. She gave us an overview of what to see and look for in St. Peter’s Basilica, which we toured on our own after our time with Cecilia was up. We only had a short time in Rome, so this tour was perfect! Cecilia was great. She was extremely nice and soft spoken. She had vast knowledge of both the art and history of the Sistine Chapel. Cecilia helped us understand the socio-politica situation of the time and shared some of the “back stories” of Michelangelo’s amazing creations.
