While on our cruise, we realized we had 3.5 hours after we disembarked in Barcelona before we needed to check in for our flight. After an awesome Barcelona pre-cruise food tour with Vicky, we decided we wanted her to pick us up at the Cruise Port, see some more of Barcelona and then drop us off at the airport. Vicky developed an itinerary with the cost, emailed it to me for approval and then she and the driver picked us up at the Cruise Port. Another awesome tour of a wonderful city with a rich history, culture and food. We stopped and toured around the Olympic Village and walked along the beach. We stopped at a noted Paella restaurant for a very tasteful lunch. After taking a post lunch walk and visiting two Chocolate stores, it was time to head to the airport. Highly recommend that you engage Vicky in any tour that she leads! She has become family and we can’t wait to visit Barcelona again to have her show us more highlights. Our original tour guide canceled on us but Octavio jumped right in and saved the day! We only had a few hours in Barcelona and wanted to see as much as we could. Octavio showed us so many sites and gave us history lessons that included a wide knowledge of architecture styles of buildings/homes and monuments/art pieces. He showed us some of his favorite things as well. The churros with chocolate dipping sauce were sooo good! We ended it all with a glass of champagne and a really good restaurant recommendation. It was a perfect tour with a friendly face. So glad we squeezed this tour in to our tight schedule. Perfect Walking Tour of Barcelona

We toured Barcelona with Octavio in July ‘25. We did a 3 hour walking tour and it was great. He took us beyond the main sites and provided great insight and explanations. We had two teenage boys and the brief was to keep it high energy and entertaining. Octavio did this - interesting stories, food markets and a detour to the best Churros in town! He left us with a heap of restaurant, bar and ice cream recommendations, so we benefitted from his guiding for several days thereafter. We loved the walking food tour with our guide. We were a family of 4, with an 11-year-old child. She made it fun and interesting for all of us. We learned about the history of Barcelona and saw some interesting things along the way to the restaurants, like a folk festival with dancing and a band, and a parade as well. The tapas we got to pick out at the restaurant were enough to count as a meal. The dessert we had at the restaurant next door was heavenly!Great food tour in Barcelona!

We loved our local experience with Octavio! It felt like meeting up with an old friend for drinks and tapas. Octavio was very knowledgeable about the Barcelona, as well as the history of the city and Catalan culture. He also gave us several recommendations for the remainder of our trip -- late-night spots for drinks, brunch and cafe recs, and things to do in Tossa de Mar (where we were headed next). Federico really knows his stuff and then some. Never thought getting to grips with the Habsburgs, Bourbons and thalassocratic Aragonese Empire could be fun but he managed to make all the historical influences comprehensible and vivid by referring to artefacts in the landscape. The tour moved at a manageable pace and Federico avoided predictably over-crowded areas by steering us towards lesser-known but no less impressive buildings, monuments and other works from Gaudi, Picasso etc. Venues for break stops were stylish, well-chosen and obscure: several would have been impossible to find without his guidance.Entertaining and educational

Our group of 4 senior women had a most wonderful tapas experience with Alan . Upon request he greeted us at our hotel as we had only just flown in that afternoon from Sydney ( a gruelling flight ) He gave us a patient and detailed experience of how to use the metro system, travelling alongside us. Spending 3 hours with Alan was pure delight. From the moment we met him we could see his passion and enthusiasm. We were touring with our 13 yr old grandson and he related perfectly to him and to us. Recently visited Barcelona and booked a food tour through 'Withlocals', specifically with Federico. I can honestly say it was a highlight of our visit ! Federico was engaging, knowledgeable and full of interesting facts about Barcelona, Catalunya and Spain. He covered everything from local landmarks and history through to economics and politics, a great range of discussion that extended our knowledge of this wonderful city. But ... The best bit was that he took us to some wonderful places to eat and drink that we wouldn't have visited otherwise. The quality of food and wine we experienced was excellent, all in establishments that were truly 'local'. We ended up going back to a couple of these during the remainder of our stay for our evening meals. We started our tour in Old Town, which is a wonderful part of Barcelona. We visited a number of unique restaurants where we tasted an interesting assortment of Tapas. Federico chose a wonderful and diverse menu based on our preferences. The evening ended with a visit to the Chocolate shop where we tasted terrific sweets dipped in chocolate. Federico provided us with a very informative tour and chose fun and interesting establishments to visit. He was knowledgeable and answered many of our questions about the history of the area.
