This was our second tour with Long, and such an emotional one. Visiting Kampong Phluk, a fishermen village on the Tonlé Sap lake is as rare occasion to discover Cambodia, hidden beyond its majestic temples. And getting there in the late hours of daylight, in dry season, displayed the reality of families between their boats, and their houses nested on the top of high rising wooden poles many meters above water level: fragility, solidarity, determination. This was our second tour with Lux. We wanted to experience life outside of Siem Reap. This was a great morning with our two kids, 12 and 15, visiting a local village food market and seeing the floating villages on stilts on the lake. Lux was again so informative, so easy to be with and the trip felt perfectly paced for our family. Seeing the community on foot, boating on the lake and rowing through the mangrove forests were all highlights. Vegans or vegetarians may find the locals market a bit intense and should ask to skip this part imho.

We did two tours with Lux… One to the floating fishing village, and the other to the Angkor Wat temples… Both tours were professionally conducted… With exceptional knowledge of the historical sites, Cambodian culture & history…Lux has wealth of information and knowledge that complemented our experience on both days. Answered all of our questions… And he has exceptional communication skills. His command of the English language provided great value to both tours. Ngoun picked us up in our hotel lobby. We took a 45 min drive to the floating village. On the way Ngoun was eager to tell us about the areas we were passing through. Walking through the floating village (since it was dry season) was an experience I'll never forget. The children were so excited to see us and give us high fives along the way. Again, Ngoun shared all the knowledge he had to explain everything throughout the day. Great day! Great day visiting the floating village

Ngoun what's a personal guide for my wife and I for one day and Angkor Wat and another day on a river boat and village market tour. He is surprisingly passionate and excited to tell us all the interesting details, given that he surely have done the same tour many times before. Going through the village market, for example, he pointed out many many little items in instead of just walking us through explain interesting items in the culture. He was very personable and patient would answer me all about questions. I definitely recommended him and will use them again.Passionate, personal and knowledgeable

If you don't just want to visit temples only, a tour to the floating villages on Tonle Sap Lake is a good idea. Long is the perfect guide for such a trip. We enjoyed this tour very much. It is perfectly organised and we gained many new and interesting impressions. From the hotel we went to a local market near the lake. We have seen many similar markets before, but with a guide like Long, it is a special experience. You can learn a lot about local agriculture and get to know the various fruit and vegetable plants that you would otherwise walk past at a loss. During the boat trip through the floating village, Long explains the way of life of the inhabitants. He is very knowledgeable and can answer all questions in detail. At the mangrove forest, there is the possibility to relax and to be paddled through the mangroves. We were there relatively early, when no other tourists were there yet, so we could enjoy the nativeness and tranquillity of nature. All in all, we can highly recommend a tour with Long as our guide. Excellent tour

Long arranged a wonderful tour for us. We were picked up by Long and his driver, it was a very comfortable air conditioned car and we could see lots of Cambodian life from the window. We stopped at a market which showed an amazing array of fruit, veg, meat and fish, it was fascinating. We then drove on a bit further and Long took us on our private boat for the river and lake tour. It was very relaxing but also so interesting and Long taught us a lot about the way of life of the villagers. We arrived at the little restaurant by the edge of Tonle Sap lake and had a drink and looked at the crocodiles! Seeing the other bigger groups of people around brought it home to us how much more enjoyable it is to have a private tour with somebody like Long. We have so enjoyed speaking to him and having him as our guide. We bought some books and pencils from one of the boat ladies and Long arranged it so that we could distribute them on our way back. It was so special. We finished the trip off by having a delicious lunch with our good friend. It really was a lovely day. We would recommend Long to anyone who is coming to this area, he is the most wonderful kind, considerate and knowledgeable man and we are so grateful to him.Great day exploring the floating village!

I came across Lux Ngoun’s tour whilst searching for local tours in Siem Reap and I was caught by the itenary and his adaptability to suit the clients he chooses to serve. As soon as we met him he had the warmest welcome and friendliest approach. He was punctual, extremely informative and highly knowledgable in the history, culture and lifestyle of the local people which made the experience far more enjoyable. He was also very patient if we wanted to take photos, stop for something to eat or drink and he also provided great advice for our travels to other provinces during our trip. We enjoyed our Floating Village tour with Lux. We visited a monastery, had the chance to visit a local market where tourists rarely go, took a boat to see the floating villages and even had the opportunity to get off the boat and see how people in the village live. We stopped at a few local shops that showed us how they make silk and decorate silver. The only way the trip would have been better would to have been to visit a small local restaurant versus a touristy, expensive one. Lux was very knowledgeable and I’d highly recommend taking his tours.Great time in Siem Reap

I ask a lot of questions. And Long had answers for all of them. I was looking for a tour that was interesting and fun, but that also provided the history, culture and stories of Angkor Wat- and wow did Long deliver. While I saw other guides along the way breezing past murals with just a few words, Long paused, and took the time to explain the stories - fact and fiction- behind the main points of interest, and of course take lots of questions. I also found our conversations about daily life in Cambodia very interesting. I hope I’ll come back to Siem Reap, and will 100% contact Long when I do.Patient knowledgeable historian

We’re a family of five touring the area and had a fantastic evening with Long. When rain showers passed through, Long adapted quickly—he arranged a tuk-tuk that comfortably fit all of us and adjusted the itinerary to include spots with good shelter, ensuring we could still enjoy the incredible street food that Siem Reap has to offer. Our eldest son loved the beef skewers so much that Long surprised him with an extra serving at the final stop, which was a thoughtful touch. My wife and I particularly enjoyed the Fish Amok and Beef Lok Lak—both uniquely Cambodian dishes that Long was clearly proud to share with us. On the ride home, Long made a spontaneous stop to pick up fresh coconuts for the family, which the kids absolutely loved. We have just returned from our 10 tastings of Siem Reap with Dorn. We have been lucky enough to experience food tours around SE Asia and all of them wonderful in their own way. Dorn presented Siem Reap street food the way the locals eat. No Michelin stars. Just hop on a tuk tuk and visit some amazing and challenging street food establishments either in a local restaurant or side of the street vendors. We experienced some amazing tastes. From delicious beef skewers over charcoal and fantastic noodle dishes to challenging our taste buds with eating crickets, silk worms and cicada. Surprisingly, they were really tasty. Dorn is a fantastic host and never pressured us in trying foods that he felt we wouldn't like. He is super friendly and is very knowledgeable about the history and culture of the Siem Reap food scene. We thoroughly recommend this tour.Amazing tastes of Siem Reap.

I looked into multiple tour guides before deciding on Long and I’m so glad all my research led to him because he gave us the best experience in Cambodia! Our food tour was delicious and being Americans he made sure all the food and drinks were safe for our more delicate stomachs. Long is a walking encyclopedia of knowledge about Cambodian history and culture. We learned so much from him! My partner and I did the food tour with Long an we cannot rate this experience highly enough! Long chose a great variety of places from sit down redtaurants to street food, introducing us to a whole range of taste experiences. I'm a pesceterian and he had no problems accommodating me. The highlight was the street food on 60th Rd. I will be dreaming of the delicate and delucious fragrances and tastes for a long time; we finished every last morsel! We had hired Long for this day as a guide for a visit to Angkor Wat, the Bayon Temple and the Ta Prohm (Tomb Raider temple). Long is a very dedicated guide who knows a lot about the history of these temples. He speaks clear and calm English. Tuktuk driver and unlimited cold water were available. We did a sunrise tour with Long, and we were not disappointed. It was the first day of Khmer New Year and we saw all the local dignitaries getting ready to welcome the king to Angkor Wat. What a once in a lifetime experience for us and our two kids aged 10 and 8. Long was very knowledgeable about Cambodian history and told us some amazing stories about Buddhism and Hinduism. Our kids really enjoyed those stories, as did we! A wonderful Khmer New Year tour

My partner (both 28) and I had a great time with Dorn on our tour which was over Cambodian new year. Many of the normal spots were shut so Dorn took us to a more secluded collection of stops. The food was really good, but moreso Dorn's explanation of the different cuisines and Cambodian influence in food. He then took us round the town for Cambodian new year, to show us how everyone celebrated. It was overall great fun! Thanks Dorn.Great personal experience

Long introduced us to some amazing Khmer food! Banh Mi, Fish Amok, Beef with red ants, some great chive dumplings and much more! Completed with the sweetest coconut water I ever tasted. When he real used some of our group members were willing to be adventurous - he was happy to let us taste crickets and silk worms too! He was so accommodating and helpful too. His English was good and we discussed many topics beyond the food! Would definitely recommend Long for this food tour and other guided tours too😊Amazing food experience with Long!

The trip with Long to the temples was great! Usually these kind of trips a bit boring, but he managed to make it interesting. He took us to a great spot for sunrise photos and after that explained thoroughly everything about Angkor Wat. His English is great, even our 11 year old understood. Long is very well educated on the history of the Khmer empire and about Hinduism and budism. What was a very pleasant surprise were his skills with the phone camera, he made great photos of us! I would fully recommend to anyone wanting to learn about the history or just wants to have a pleasant conversation!Better than expected
