My father and I had already spent several days in Amsterdam doing most of the touristy stuff (museums, canal tour, etc) and to have a local like Olga share her expertise and knowledge helped elevate our time here. We had already seen most of the things she showed us, but never knew what it was. Many of the things she showed us were truly hidden gems you might read about in a guide book but never find on your own! Truly a worthwhile experience. Sebastian was a great guide! While on tour, we felt as though we were taking a walk with an old friend (and a very knowledgable one). He told us about the history of the city as well as the lives of Amsterdam's citizens now. He adapted his way of explaining stuff to our mixed level of English (used simpler terms — so don't worry about not understanding something) and he showed us the best local places (the snack was amazing!). We also really appreciated little fun facts about various subjects connected to the city and his tips on best gifts from Amsterdam. We feel fully prepared for getting around on our own in the next days of our trip and for understanding stuff in museums and places all around town better. Sebastian is a great choice no matter the group — we went as mother and daughter (50 and 19) and both had a wonderful time. Amazing experience, we highly recommend! A wonderful experience :))

Jen Willem was just fabulous. I am the wrong side of 70, and I was travelling with a 19-year-old - Jen Willem listened to our specific requests and took us on a route that included places I am sure we would not have found on our own - this was our first time in Amsterdam. He is clearly passionate about his beautiful city, and is full not only of facts and figures but interesting stories that bring places alive. She was very knowledgeable, professional, with a good sense of humor and timing, and lots of fascinating tidbits about the city. History aspect of the tour was great, Olga showed us a lot of cool things we wouldn't have known about. Her personality was unapproachable though. She was quite dismissive if we asked questions, kinda giving us a "duh" answer when we asked everyday life questions. Robotic with her story telling.
