Hugo is an excellent guide - knowledgeable, accommodating, and generally good company. It was VERY hot on the day of our tour and he adjusted the pace in response while always managing to keep things interesting and varied. I highly recommend him. Hugo is great!

We enjoyed Hugo telling us about the major sites, but then he took us off the beaten path and showed us places that are not as easily visible. He knew a lot of history and stories behind the landmarks. He answered all of my questions about where to eat, the best beer places, the best chocolate place. We especially enjoyed passing groups of 15 to 30 people when we had our own private tour guide. That was really fun😆Wonderful tour in Bruges Belgium

My travel companions and I only had one short day in Bruges. We decided to book Xavier’s Highlights and Hidden Gems walking tour so that we could really see as much as we could of this beautiful city. Xavier is charming, kind, and knowledgeable about his home town. He modified our tour to fit our needs and desires. This trip was our first into Belgium (3 cities in 3 days) and served a reconnaissance mission for future trips. We will most definitely be back to spend more time in Bruges thanks to Xavier. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning with Martin, who wove the story of the rise and fall of Bruges with good humour and knowledge. I would highly recommend this tour so you can understand the buildings and places you are looking at. Maximillian being held captive at the window overlooking the main square, why the swans are there etc (hope I'm not giving too much away Martin!) whilst admiring this fabulous time capsule of a small city. Thank you for making it now so memorable. Engaging, friendly and we learnt a lot!

Artur was a fantastic tour guide. We only had 1/2 a day and one night in Bruges and so we wanted to get the most out of it. Artur knocked it out of the park for us. Before he even met up with us, he’d sent us a list of things we could do with before the tour to maximize time. Then his tour took us through the highlights and gems of Brugge and we felt like we knew the city by the end. He also showed us his favorite spots and helped us avoid the more touristy places. We were able to buy some chocolates and gifts that were great value compared to other places. After the tour, he recommended a few places including an awesome little bar that serves their own beer (awesome) that we would never have found on our own. We actually walked past it and had to double back to find the alleyway leading to the entrance. All in all Bruges has been our favorite place on our trip and Artur is a big part of that. Best of Bruges!

This is overdue. My husband and I did this walking tour the afternoon of our arrival to Bruges in late Sept. Artur contacted me before arriving to request moving the tour to a bit later to avoid the "cruise line" tourists. We are happy we did. The walk was easy and filled with great information and a bit of fun. Also, it helped us get a lay of the land, so we could explore and tourn the next day on our own.
