We (a group of four friends) had Thomas show us around Genova for three hours. Some of us were new to the town, others hadn't been there for some years. The first impression you get of Thomas during the tour is that he is a true Genovese. He knows Genova's history and is up on its current events. He clearly also enjoys sharing his insights and experiences. Trying to navigate the hilly streets efficiently without a native on hand is a challenge, given that the topography includes streets, cable cars and elevators. Thomas not only steered us to the tourist attractions, but also introduced us to the neighborhood he grew up in. Thomas was flexible in adjusting the tour to our preferences and generous with his time. We definitely recommend having him show you around this beautiful city. We had a blast. Nefset was extremely knowledgeable, energetic, and easygoing. She was able to change the tour without any notice and customize it to our desire to experience Genoa like a local. Great night on our first night in Genova. Thomas met us at our hotel and walked with us to the city center, sharing history, key historic locations, and stories along the way. The food stops were great, authentic, and clearly part of the community. (It's November, but no tourists were to be found on our stops!) Places were so small they'd have been unable to accommodate larger food tours. Thomas also took the time to tailor our tour to our interests. Finally, when Thomas says he grew up in Genova- he means it! Right in old town- we ran into at least 4 of his friends, including his barber. We had a great first night in Genova - book a tour with Thomas!Awesome time!

Highly recommend this company! Had an amazing sunset boat tour. The skipper was so nice and knowledgeable and it was very reasonably priced. They were flexible with what you could do on the boat tour, we decided to not stop for a swim. We had to change boats due to weather conditions per their recommendation and we ended up being really happy with the Salpa soleil 18. We had a wonderful boat ride. The guide was friendly and a pleasure to ride with. We loved that the boat was private and just for our family. We stopped in portofino and were able to swim in the sea. We saw all kinds of fish. It was a lovely way to spend 4 hours. I would definitely do it again. Had a great experience! Kept us up to date on changing weather conditions and managed to get us out even though our schedule wasn’t flexible. A great knowledge of the area and a beautiful tour or the Italian riviera. This was the private tour we’d been searching for. Additionally we had a great boat captain, parts of the ride were a bit choppy due to the winds but he drove the boat with skill to keep us dry and comfortable! Jake was a great captain on our trip and we highly recommend the 4 hour cruise. The views from the water of Santa Margherita, Paraggi, Portofino, and around the high cliffs to San Fruttuoso are just amazing. We have an amazing half day tour with Jake. We were picked up in Portofino and Jake knew all the right spots to take us to around the coast from San Fruttuoso, Baia Cannone, Santa Margherita, and more. He also shared history of the area along the way and let us swim off the boat in any area we liked. The boat was also immaculate - Brand new and spacious. We had the best time with Jake cruising from Santa Margherita around Portofino. The weather wasn’t the best but it was still one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. There were five of us along on the trip - three adults and two kids, five and four, and everyone had a great day. We stopped at San Fruttuoso for a swim, walked around Portofino and swam in Cannon Bay. Jake was so friendly and relaxed and let us choose what we wanted to do during the tour. Thank heavens I booked this experience! We all had a marvelous time on this good tour of Genova. Nefset was charming, knowledgeable, humorous and very dedicated to showing us all her beautiful cities most amazing sites. The wine she choose was delicious and each restaurant was unique and in it’s own special area of the city. She also tried-and succeeded-in making this tour individual to our family. My granddaughter listed it as a highlight of her vacation in Italy. She went above and beyond any tour guide I’ve ever had. The experience was worth three times what so paid. When a tour is titled “The 10 Tastings of Portofino” and the only exclusion listed is “entrance to attractions” but it does not include the tastings…something is very wrong and falsely advertised. Our party of 8 thought we would be in Portofino, but we took a bus to Santa Margarita and then a train to Camogli. After some walking around, we arrived at the focaccia store, and it was there we learned that our food was not part of the roughly $600 our group had paid. Nefset did relent and buy our focaccia bread and gelato, but any other food we wanted to taste was on us. Considering I hyped up this tour for our 6 new cruise friends, this was pretty disappointing to say the least. What was even more frustrating was that Nefset did not respect our desire to take a train back at 3:30 instead of 4:00. It took all of us telling her that we weren’t comfortable cutting the time that close to the last tender boat back to our ship. As it was, the 3:30 train was 7 minutes late, and our tender boat with all 8 of us on it arrived at our ship only 10 minutes before the deadline. I wish that I could attach a photo of our tour description to this review so that everyone can see how we did not receive what we signed up to enjoy.Tasting Tour Without Food?
