We had a lovely half day with Benedict touring the beautiful city of Ghent. He was gracious enough to meet us at our hotel which was so convenient for us. We booked Benedict for a 3 hour tour of Ghent, and were so glad we did. He is an unusually knowledgeable (official) guide, as well as a kind and considerate person. He met us at the train station, ushered us onto a city tram and away we went straight to the stunning Sunday Flower Market, a real treat. From there, he walked us through a myriad of the sights of gorgeous Ghent. He addressed our concerns about getting lost on the way back and gave us explicit instructions how to return. In addition, he pointed out the best canal cruise to do afterwards. He understood I needed to sit occasionally, and accommodated that request, constantly asking if I was okay. We had an absolutely wonderful time exploring Ghent with Benedikt! Over the course of three hours, he managed to show us many hidden gems and share fascinating stories that made the city truly come alive. His passion for Ghent was infectious, and his warmth, humor, and ability to connect with all of us made it an amazing experience. He even brought us some specific candy from Ghent (‘red noses’) and treated us to some artisanal chocolates in one of the nicest chocolate shops of Ghent. My family just got back from a spring break trip to Paris and Belgium. Our group included myself, my husband, our two teens ages 15 and 17, and my mom plus her boyfriend, in their 70s. The 6 of us unanimously deemed Arn as our favorite tour guide of the entire trip. (We had private tours of Versailles, the Louvre, Bruges, Ghent, and Brussels). Do not hesitate to select Arn as your guide in Ghent. He was warm, easy-going, knowledgeable, and passionate about his city. He told us fascinating stories and historical facts without it getting boring or long-winded. He also had perfect pacing at each stop we visited. We were all charmed by Arn and Ghent, and based on his tour, we would love to visit Ghent again and spend more time there (we only had the one day). My wife and I had about 6 hours total in Ghent and we decided to book a tour to make sure we got the most out of the quick trip. We were lucky that Benedikt “Ben” was available and he helped us fully experience his city despite our time shortage. We got to see the highlights and the things that makes Ghent special. We learned a lot because of Ben’s knowledge in architecture and history. We’d already visited the Cathedral to see the awesome altar piece before the tour, but he was able to show us things that we’d missed that were really interesting. He also went out of his way to make sure that we knew where to go and had a decent bite to eat before having to jet to catch our bus. Sprint through Ghent.

This is a great tour with a great guide. Learned so much about the city in our two hour evening stroll. After the tour we ended up in a local bar and where we all made friends with some historians of the city. We talked about everything from, art, architecture, to F1. I signed up for a food tour (six tastings) along side seeing the highlights of of the city. I picked a guide based on profiles provided and then shortly afterwards was told that I was being transferred to someone completely different. )This happened again on my tour in Brugges.) Our food tour consisted of the guide giving us store bough candy (one piece each) and cookies. We only had restaurant experience and were only allotted a 3 Euro drink. I paid nearly $500 for the tour. What an absolute joke. Waste of Money
