Du was just a great tour guide! We ran a little bit late, but she made it work to give us the 3 hour tour still. It was the perfect mixture of culture, history, and food. We told her we were looking for a cone hate for our cat to bring home and she went and got not one, but 3 to ensure we have one that will fit. I met her in the imperial city of Hue where we did a complete tour. She explain me the history of the place but also a lot of Vietnamese symbolism. It was very interesting. We also visited the Pagoda Thien Mu and the incense village before having dinner at a place where the locals go and it was very good. Empathetic and very pleasant. Du was SUCH an incredible guide - I cannot recommend her enough!! We were so pleased to have Du as our tour guide. She is easy going and friendly. In addition to knowing a great deal of Hue’s interesting history, Du spoke very good English. The tour went well over time and she was happy to keep going. She also helped us in getting a car and driver to drive us to Hoi An, which was quite a feat as it was during the New Year holidays. We booked a day tour with Du to visit Hue. We communicated beforehand to share some of the highlights we wanted to see. Du was very helpful in planning the tour, doing some advanced research for us, and making recommendations to ensure we saw a variety of sites. This was very helpful and much appreciated. Du grew up in Hue so she knows the entire area and all of the sites well. Even though we were staying in Da Nang, Du was able to arrange a car to pick us up and take us around to all the sites. Du was very communicative with us about our pick up and ensured we were in the car and on our way. The driver took us across the Hai Van pass which was beautiful and we stopped for a quick coffee and some photos at the top. Once we arrived in Hue, Du met us at our hotel to drop our bags. She even brought us pastries as she knew we didn't have time to eat before leaving Da Nang. We visited 2 tombs, both very different. Du was incredibly knowledgeable about the emperors of the Nguyen dynasty and shared some interesting details with us along the way. We also visited the Citadel, and again Du's knowledge of the history of the emperors their wives and their counsel was so helpful. We learned so much about Hue from her. Du is a wonderful guide who knows Hue and its history incredibly well. We fit a lot into this day and she did a remarkable job as our guide. I highly recommend booking with Du for your tour to Hue. A day in Hue we won't soon forget.

We ended up booking just the day before and Du was very accommodating. She met us at the ticket office for Imperial City and the tour began. She was full of knowledge and answered our questions. We had lots of laughs throughout the tour and learned more than we could have anticipated. The Pagoda was also a nice visit and much different from a pagoda that we saw in Hanoi. I was so grateful to have booked a private tour with Bich Du. She is born and bred Hue and has a result has no problems tailoring tours to suit your interests but also to ensure you see the best bits of Hue. She was very friendly and accommodating, driving me round lots of different places on her motorbike, dropping me off places if I didn't want to go straight back to my hotel, adapting the schedule to ensure we weren't out and about during the hottest parts of the day (there was a heatwave hitting 40 degrees when I was there!) and of course informing me of the history at each site we visited. I would certainly recommend a private tour with Bich Du when visiting Hue! Great experience!

Bích Du was easy to work with, customizing our time together to accomodate the heat and my physical restraints. She picked me up at my hotel and we were off! Bích Du was a great tour guide. She speaks excellent English and was very knowledgable, answering all our questions. She made sure we stayed comfortable with stops for drinks and shade and the communication beforehand (to avoid hottest part of the day and thunderstorms) was fantastic. We were met at our hotel and finished there as well, just after a final stop for an authentic Salt Coffee (delicious). We enjoyed very much the tour with Du! She customized it well for our children. The discovery of the ancient city was not only pointed by the history but some architectural meanings and even the nature around (that’s when she picked a cicada skin on a tree, just on the go, kids were thrilled). We had a wonderful afternoon exploring the Citadel. Du was a fantastic guide. She was very knowledgeable, friendly and great to chat to as we walked around the amazing Imperial City. We (me and 2 friends) had a great day in Hue with Bich Du. In advance she asked for our preferences and expectations and organized the tour in the imperial city personalized for us. She was very flexible regarding time and attraction planning and was before and after our tour perfectly available for communication via phone. We had a great time with her! Friendly, funny and open-minded she answered all the questions we had and taught us a lot about the history of the city, about culture as well as other interesting facts from Vietnam. My husband and I toured with Bich Du for a half day to see the Citadel and the beautiful Thien Mu Pagoda. I have some back issues and needed to go more slowly and Du was wonderfully accommodating to me. She is highly knowledgeable and was able to share some great stories about the sites (Her English was excellent too!) We were so happy to see these beautiful sites and came away with a better understanding of the places, the history, and the characters. Du is easy going, fun, kind and has great knowledge. We had a very nice and very tasty evening with Du in Hue. For those interested to get in touch with the real non tourist Hue food and enjoy an evening with diverse dialogue and conversation, then book a tour with Du. Du knows the city and knows where the authentic food can be found. We had more than 10 different dishes. Du knows the origin and interesting facts. All were different in taste, appearance and textuur. There is no way we would have found them by ourselves, nor would we have orders it. We booked our tasting experience with Bich Du. She started of super friendly and had a good connection from the start. At every restaurant she had a lot to talk about all the dishes about where it originated from and what is was made of. Outside of the food she gave great advice about the city and other places to visit. When walking to the other restaurants she also had really interesting and good stories to tell about the surrounding area and typical Vietnamese traditions. Having been to Vietnam numerous times and tried lots of different food we were keen to see if there were things that we may be missing out on. We were not disappointed with the food we tried, sine of which we likely would have missed and Bich Du was great at talking about the food, regional differences of the same dish eg Vietnamese pancakes which I love and had noted differences. Bích Du was a very engaging and authentic guide who was generous with her personal experiences growing up in Hue which I was particularly interested in. Her English is excellent and she presented as a very bright young woman. From our discussion her main tour is the Imperial Palace Hie and I imagine this would be a great tour however we had already done the palace the day prior, When booking the tour we did think the price was quite high compared to other tours we have done and positively did not regret our spend particularly as it was a private tour. Du was a wonderful guide and I would recommend her to any group visiting Hue. Her knowledge of the history of the Imperial City of Hue and its residents was deep and she communicated it in a warm and engaging manner. Our group ranged from two years old to 78 years old, which meant Du had to be adaptable to change during the tour, and she was! Nothing was too much trouble, and she also gave us dining recommendations for Hue and Hoi An in the days after the tour. If the opportunity arose, I would certainly look to do another tour with Du. Great way to see and learn about Hue
