She was prepared, extremely knowledgeable, insightful about the history and culture of her adopted hometown. Die Führung war ziemlich teuer, aber Romy war großartig! Sie kennt Paris, seine verschiedenen Viertel, Straßen und die Geschichte dazu. Dabei hat sie sich sehr auf uns und insbesondere auf unsere 10jährige Tochter eingestellt - und ein super-leckeres Eis auf dem Weg gab es auch noch. Romy hat uns viele Empfehlungen und Tipps gegeben. Da das Wetter am Vormittag schlecht war, hat sie uns nicht nur angeboten, die Führung auf den Nachmittag zu verschieben, sondern hat uns auch noch Vorschläge für den verregneten Vormittag gemacht. I've used withlocals before and always had guides who had a game plan. I found Andrea to be a little too much "we could go here, or we could go here..." for my liking. I also messaged prior to the tour that we wanted to go to St Chapelle as part of the tour. When we got there, he did his thing and we did ours as I don't think he was all that familiar with the church. When we did ask questions, too many responses were "we could google it". Disappointing

Easy to book, and meeting place was easy to find. Our guide Olivia walked up to us like a long lost friend up and a quick chat about us and what we wanted and we were off. We had a wonderful time with Cimet. She is very friendly with a good knowledge of both historical and modern points of interest. A highlight of our tour was seeing the etching of Arthur Rimbaud's poem "Le Bateau Ivre" carved into a wall along the street. Cimet was leisurely, not rushing us, allowing us to take it all in. We strolled through a "bracante" checking out the antiques, visited St. Sulpice and the Luxembourg Gardens and ended up at Les Deux Magots for lunch. I was touched that Cimet asked the waiter to place us in the seats where Simone de Beauvoir sat with Jean Paul Sartre so many years ago. Even though we were short on time Andrea gave us a very comprehensive and detailed tour of the left bank and Latin quarters. He showed us all the highlights and salient historical sites. He was very knowledgeable as well informed. He kept the kids interested with small historical anecdotes and stories. He told us about his experiences with his daughter at the luxumberg gardens and some other areas that was very personable to all of us. Overall it was a great tour. We did a 3 hour food/tasting tour of the Saint-Germain des pres area with Alexia and enjoyed it very much! We got to see and hear about many places that we would have never discovered on our own. We had a great walking tour with Welly! Wonderful introduction to the city for a first morning in Paris. He walked us through several districts and gave us a good amount of history. We met the smiling Bibiana in front of the Musee D'Orsay, which had been unexpectedly closed for technical reasons. The queues outside were kilometric! Bibiana skillfully navigated us through the crowds and has us inside the building within minutes. Bibiana abounds with natural enthusiasm when sharing her knowledge of the museum and its art collection. Our family of four loved our Louvre tour with Emilie! I told her our daughters' ages in advance and she prepared a special tour for them, and made sure to point out things of interest for their age level. She saved us a TON of time from skipping the entry line, to being able to use the group visit rest room, to making sure we saw all the important works within our two hours there (the kids can only really muster so much time in a museum before they start losing it :)). Her knowledge of the art and the history was fantastic, and she answered all our questions patiently. She really explained the history behind each painting and made it interesting for all of us. We took the Pastery tour with lovely Alexia who skillfully guided us between hidden spots, bakeries and parks in an interesting and fun way. The challange was not the easiest, really warm weather and us already starting the day with another tour and on the day of the festival "the day of the music", that brought half of Paris to the streets, Alexia had done her homework in advance, having multiple bakery options, in case of pasteries beeing sold out and even replanning on the go for a ice cream stop in the heat by choosing the lesser known location to avoid the huge lines at the main shop. The thing that really stood out with the tour was the truely great effort and huge heart Alexia showed during the tour and doing so in a genuin way that made it feel like beeing shown around by a friend. We had a wonderful afternoon with Alexia amongst delicious pastry, magical surroundings and streets filled with music. Our family had the best tour with Louis. He really listened to our interests and questions and was able to share a unique perspective about everything from university life and admissions to the history of every street as well as current cultural and political trends. He took us for tastings of locally sourced jams and also oil and vinegar that were fantastic. Louis gave amazing bookstore, restaurant, and theater recommendations as well.
