Eleonora was the most amazing guide! She was extremely knowledgeable and pointed out the highlights of the town. Whenever we had a question, she was able to answer with scholarly facts while explaining in a way that was easy to understand. We now have a greater understanding of the meaning behind the art, construction and history of the town. Eleonora our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and tailored the tour to our interests. A lot of information about the culture in southern Italy is given by Eleonora. During a nice gently walk you hetvthe highlights of Lecce and the stories behind. The contact before the tour was excellent with a good advise of changing the starting time because it was getting really busy and warm that day. We enjoyed a tour with Eleonora in early April. She gave us great information on the history of Lecce and the surrounding area. She explained local customs and foods. We enjoyed a lovely olive oil tasting in a local shop and learned much about the differences in olive oil. Overall it was a wonderful experience with Eleonora. We loved our tour of Lecce, would've been happy with a few more hours to learn more about the beautiful city. A great recommendation to start early so we weren't wiped out by the heat during the day. Lots of great insights and food recs we returned to after the tour. Gave us confidence in finding and ordering the local dishes. Eleanora did a masterful job explaining the history of the city and region, and then tying in rich stories of events that shaped the city’s culture. Unfortunately we chose a very hot afternoon for our city tour of Lecce with Eleanor’s, but this did not dampen her enthusiasm and her wealth of knowledge. She was very sympathetic to our needs and showed us the most iconic sites, explaining the history with humour and detail. Eleonora led a group of 5 of us. She was warm , made us feel welcome and arranged delicious tastings and great information about Lecce. A special treat was hearing Eleonora sing a traditional tune. 10/10- My husband and I have done walking tours around the world. Clotilde's is one of the best we've ever encountered. She is funny, smart, interactive, personable AND incredibly knowledgeable. Eleonora contacted me to ask if we wanted to start the tour early, which was fine with us. We had booked a food tour with her, but she also explained about the history of Lecce, she was clearly very knowledgeable. The food was fantastic and we were all stuffed by the end. We went to lots of different spots to sample local food and she explained about the history of it too. Overall this was a great tour which I would recommend to anyone.Great tour
