We loved our tour of Lecce, would've been happy with a few more hours to learn more about the beautiful city. A great recommendation to start early so we weren't wiped out by the heat during the day. Lots of great insights and food recs we returned to after the tour. Gave us confidence in finding and ordering the local dishes. Eleanora did a masterful job explaining the history of the city and region, and then tying in rich stories of events that shaped the city’s culture. Lecce is a difficult place to get your bearings, but after walking through the many streets— and by major buildings and monuments— Eleanora helped improve our ability to orient and navigate my way for the duration of our stay. We spent an enjoyable morning with Clotilde. She is an excellent guide who showed us the hidden gems of Lecce & brought the history of the city alive. One of the highlights of the tour was a visit to the atelier of Stefania to watch her make her wonderful paper mache figures & chat about her work. So interesting! Eleonora contacted me to ask if we wanted to start the tour early, which was fine with us. We had booked a food tour with her, but she also explained about the history of Lecce, she was clearly very knowledgeable. The food was fantastic and we were all stuffed by the end. We went to lots of different spots to sample local food and she explained about the history of it too. Overall this was a great tour which I would recommend to anyone.Great tour

Fantastic experience walking the beautiful city of Lecce with Eleonora. And boy, did we have the best food tastings ever!!! It was fun getting to know locals that obviously love Eleonora as much as we did. We kept a perfect pace with adequate time to see and understand everything about the history, culture and tastes of Lecce, and we were able to navigate the city on our own after being expertly guided by Eleanora. Eleanora met us by the Cathedral in Lecce and started by telling us a little about the history of the area including the invasions from the Ottoman Empire to the Greeks, Romans and Normans which helped us understand the history of the local culture and foods. Then we began a wonderful private and personal tour of the city tasting specialities like Don Antonio olive oil and traditional snacks like taralli. Our tour lasted 3 hours and ended with a ‘caffe leccesse’ which is an iced coffee with almond milk and traditional pastries Pasticciotto which are filled with an indulgent egg custard. We cannot recommend Eleanora more highly. She was a fount of information and made sure we had a great time. Excellent tasting tour of Lecce

Eleanora is a bright, bubbly, professional and passionate guide for all things Leccese. The food tour we took with her was as great as we had imagined. We had previously done a Kickstart Lecce tour with her, so we knew that we were in expert hands. We had at least 10 generous tastes of typical Leccese foods. All were delicious! Do not have breakfast before taking this tour! Eleanora explained all the different foods - names, historical origins, recipes and more, interspersed with historical detail about Lecce, and all the different groups that had controlled it from time to time. One of our group members tripped and fell - breaking her wrist. Eleanora has first aid training and supported our friend while she recovered somewhat. Eleanora provided the address of an X-ray clinic, and subsequently followed up a number of times and also the next day. The tour continued eventually and ended up with Leccese coffee and pastries. A great day apart from the accident. We highly recommend Eleanora. Loved ‘Tastes of Lecce’ with Eleanora 👏👏

Eleanora advised us that she was ‘not a book’, when we first met her. We were not quoted facts and figures, but instead told the story of Lecce as it occurred over the centuries. Eleanora is professional, bright and personable, with a passion for Lecce and its culture. Of course she is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of Lecce both past and present. The tour was well paced, and we all enjoyed our introduction to Lecce with Eleanora very much. A great introduction to Lecce.

We had a wonderful tour of the magical city of Lecce with Eleonora. It was an extremely hot day and we had my elderly parents with us, and Eleonora ensured that there were plenty of rest spots and shaded routes to keep us out of the sun - whilst still showcasing the best of Lecce. Eleonora also gave us lots of information for other interesting day trips and excursions for us to take advantage of whilst we were staying in the area, which was above and beyond.
