Our group of 10 consisted of 4 adults, 6 children between 13 and 18 years old and 3 dogs (including 1 puppy). It was agreed in advance with the guide that we would do a 2-2.5-hour tour with a focus on the historical city centre, with room for 1 or 2 coffee stops (because of the puppy), possibly some street art and possibly some elements of Jewish history. All this was agreed with in writing. We agree on on a square in the historic heart of Malmo. On the way, I had mentioned that we had left Copenhagen on time and that the journey was on schedule; so we would be there on time. Well on time we were at the agreed location. A little before 10.30 I sent another message with exactly where on the square we could be found. At 10.40, the guide was still not there and had not responded to my message. I then called, he informed me he was delayed but almost there. Indeed he arrived a little later, when asked why he was so late he replied with a vague story about a woman with a dog he had to help on the way? Without further introduction, he began a walk straight out of the city centre. During which he walked way ahead of the group, making little or no contact and no chat about what there was to see or where we were going.We walked further and further into the suburbs, along the edge of town, through some kind of industrial estate / business park, then a new housing estate.... We had no idea where it was going. Questions were answered only briefly and matter-of-factly. He did not take the initiative for social interaction himself. At certain points, he stood still and said a short text. There was no dialogue. Two of the adults are professional tour guides themselves, both have their own travel agencies. One of them tried to start a chat about the profession. The guide said he was a teacher and only guided to earn extra money. We tried to clarify where else the walk would go, and asked if he would walk with us back to the city centre because that was what we wanted to see. And because the dogs got tired without stops. He stuck to the fixed route he apparently had in mind, past points we had not asked for. The walk ended at our repeated request in the city centre. In short: Arriving late without communication about this is not done. The guide showed us nothing of the historical centre, we made no coffee stops, we saw no elements of street art, no Jewish history etc. We did not see what we had agreed to see. Communication was severely lacking, there was no clarity on where we were actually walking to, no conversation about what would be seen along the way, in short, a very strange situation. Very disappointing, especially as we only had a few hours to spend in Malmo and had wanted to enjoy it as much as possible. We left with a very dissatisfied feeling. Afterwards, the information he gave us about some things also just turned out to be wrong. This guide has poor communication skills and would do better to find another secondary income. It feels very sour to now have to pay more than 300 euros for such a travesty, it was definitely not worth it. I asked the agency for a refund, instead was granted a discount on a next tour. Off course there will be no next tour after this experience. I was then told to negotiate a refund directly with the guide. Poor service, again disappointing. Disappointing

Our local guide Mode was very attentive to our needs and kept us entertained with history and knowledge of the city as we walked around to different restaurants. There was a variety of cultures in the food and the ambience of some of the restaurants was nice. It really felt like we were eating at all the favorite places the locals go to. Just make sure to expect to walk a fair amount to go to each point. While this was a food tour, we got the added value of a walking tour.Bring comfortable walking shoes

I would highly recommend this tour with Adarsh. You get to walk through the new parts of Malmö and the beach side and the old town. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about Swedish culture and the city and is happy to share it. He also gives recommendations on where you can eat at Malmö depending on your taste. Adarsh is a young ambitious and knowledgeable man. Feels its Malmö surprisingly good. Very good in Swedish, but he also studies linguistics at Lund University. He adjusts the tour smoothly according to his group. We had a nice break at a cafe in Slottskogen. We can highly recommend a tour with Adarsh! Highly Recommended
