Rita is very pleasant and told us some history of the city that we didn’t know. She took us to the glass dome with many shops. Told us about the Spanish influence and the area that they lived in. Walked by some beautiful churches and went into one that didn’t look like a church from outside. It was disturbing to see so much graffiti on buildings and walls. Ylenia wasn’t just any guide-she was a fountain of fascinating, off-the-beaten-path insights about Naples. Unlike other tours I had read about, she took us to hidden gems, including the lively Spanish Quarter, a vibrant maze of narrow streets bursting with local life, street art, and authentic Neapolitan culture. Another experience was a funicular ride that treated us to a breathtaking panoramic view of Naples. We met up with Rita to begin our tour on a beautiful March afternoon. Rita started the tour helping us get our bearings and giving us a great background on the history of Naples. Rita then took us on a tour through the busy streets of Naples pointing out so many points of interest. She is very connected to the area, there were many times when friends of hers would say hello. She knows the best spots of local treats and coffee. She has gotten us hooked on Sfogliatella, OMG they are so delicious! We had a great introduction to Naples with Nino. His approach was to educate us of why Naples is what it is today through its historical foundations. It was a very interesting technique which most could easily understand. As a foodie he moved seamlessly into giving an understanding of the development of the Napoleon food and wine culture. What a day we had with Gennaro! We travelled with a 4yo and 7mo so we wanted the tour to be a bit different than just visiting churches and museum and this tour was just what we wanted it. From visiting emerging neighbourhoods, food market, seeing how authentic Napoli pizzas are made…We tried some delicious food and drinks. Pizza, mozzarella Di buffalo, sfogliatelle, wine…. Just mouthwatering! Gennaro was very knowledgeable and also caring. He made sure toilet breaks and food breaks were included in the tour for our kids (and us too of course) and even suggested to change the time of our tour due to some protests happening, which would have made the experience not as relaxing. He even went the extra mile and dropped us back at the port with his car as it was raining. Thank you so much Gennaro for your knowledge, time and kindness and making our visit of Napoli so special and memorable. Can’t go wrong with Gennaro as your guide!

Rita was an excellent host, and so knowledgeable that she was easily able to tailor the tour to accommodate our dog. We saw exactly what we’d hoped for, the key sights of Napoli as well as some of the lessor known spots. She also capably answered all our questions, and was even happy to share some thoughts on where to visit as we travel further south in Italy. Rita was totally brilliant. As well as being utterly adorable, she was so knowledgeable and passionate about her city. As well as the fascinating history and architecture of the incredible city of Napoli, she gave us ideas of how to spend the rest of our trip (we went to Sorrento). She also told us about some of the local food and while she was surprised at the area we were staying, we managed to find a local restaurant near our hotel that served the delicious genovese she had described 😊 Cannot recommend highly enough and a private tour, while a little more expensive, is definitely the way to go.Absolute best way to Naples.

Genarro is the best With Locals guide we’ve ever had, and we’ve had quite a few. When we arrived in Naples it was raining and I had caught a cold so therefore didn’t want to pursue a walking tour. Gennaro is a gem from the start. His personality and knowledge are not only welcoming, but warm. He’s passionate about what he does and does everything in his power to make sure you get the experience you want. He shares with you…he doesn’t just show you- big difference. We visited Naples with him and the Amalfi coast with him as our guide. The experience would not have been anything near what it became with Gennaro. Nino led us through Napoli on one of the hottest days of the year. He told us all kinds of great stories about the history of this awesome city, in a very relaxed way while he adjusted the program to our wishes. My wife and I came to Napoli for the first time and Gennaro treated us to a lovely experience. I found Gennaro on with locals and he was highly reviewed. He is very knowledgeable and was very helpful to planning our vacation. We met up for a mixed food and city discovery tour with Gennaro. He took us both by foot and in vehicle to see some of the most amazing sites. He took us down some paths less traveled, some incredible scenic views, and through the hustle bustle must see areas of Napoli. The multiple food stops along the way really was some incredible delicacies of sweet savory and of course, fried. After eating the multigenerational real deal Neapolitan pizza, I don’t think I can ever have pizza anywhere else again. Book with Gennaro and you’ll have a wonderful experience seeing the best that Naples has to offer. Genaro was always available for contact for our additional needs both in Naples and Capri. Roberto was an absolute PLEASURE! He took extra time to tell us about the history of Napoli as well as interesting and fun “nuggets” of knowledge that enhanced our experience. It’s very difficult to put into words our tour with Gennaro, as I was quite moved by the end of it. Gennaro highlighted the complexities of this incredible city as he guided us around. He sees the city from the eyes of a local, but also from the eyes of an outsider, thanks to time he also spends away from Naples. He explained Naples’ history, how it developed, and how it works today. We walked the main streets, wandered the Spanish Quarter and also took the Funicular to see a truly amazing view of sprawling Naples. We learnt about the light and shade of the city, cultural elements, superstition, religion, food, music, tourism and education. Gennaro is so passionate about Naples and we were incredibly grateful for the time we spent with him (we also did a pizza making class and food tour with Gennaro - all incredible). Nino was a fantastic guide and gave a dollop of history and a full serving of food. He took us to several places that we wouldn't have found on our own and, as another reviewer said, took us to a place with the easily best mozzarella we've ever had. We also learned a lot about Neapolitan cuisine. I can't recommend it highly enough; you'll really enjoy your time walking, talking, and eating with Nino as your guide!The best food tour we've ever been on!

Excellent tour! I was a lone traveler so it was just myself and Federica! The tour is the same price if you’re alone or a family but it was well worth it to me. I had limited time to spend in Napoli and wanted to make the most of it. She was very informative regarding the history of the area! You could tailor this tour to what you were interested in knowing and seeing. It was a well spent afternoon and I’m so glad I chose this. We went through local sights, local food market shopping, and neighborhoods I may not have discovered on my own. Being with a local was great! We had a great experience on the 10 Tastings of Napoli tour with Gennaro! He was a gracious and enthusiastic host, truly passionate about his hometown and excited to share it with our family.
