My husband and I were lucky to have had a very informative history tour with Josko on our first full day in Split. We found him to be an engaging, funny and very personable guide and enjoyed learning many things about the old town, Diocletian Palace and Croatia in general. He recommended a lovely place for lunch, a venue in the Palace for outdoor music in the evening, and a shop for excellent local chocolate. She made sure to let us see through a locals eyes the intricacies of the main city centre & what there was to explore outside of those city limits. Dubravka (Dubi) sure knows Split! Our party of eight adults booked her for the hidden secrets tour and we are so glad we did! Dubi had many, often hilarious, anecdotes about living here as a child and how Split has evolved throughout her lifetime. She took us from the ancient history of the area to modern times in a fun and engaging manner. Her personality and love of her city and country shone through as she walked us through old town and the Palace. She even gave us some “inside” information on where to eat and what to do. Dubravka begann die Tour an einem Aussichtspunkt, von der wir einen guten Überblick die Stadt hatten und gab bei dieser Gelegenheit auch eine Übersicht über die Entwicklung der Stadt und das Umland. Anschließend gingen wir zu einem gut geplanten Rundgang durch die Stadt. Dubravka hatte an jedem Ort aus ihrem großen Wissensschatz zu den Hintergründen und Geschichte erzählt. Dabei langweilte sie nicht mit Fakten, sondern legte den Schwerpunkt auf geschichtliche Zusammenhänge und Hintergründe für die Entwicklung der Stadt. Der Rundgang endete mit einer Verkostung einer lokalen Süßigkeit und einen gemütlichen Plausch in einem Kaffee. Da wir außerhalb der Saison unterwegs waren hatten wir genug Zeit an den einzelnen Lokationen. Dubravka ist eine charmante Führerin, die Geschichte Splits und Dalmatiens lebendig vermittelt.Kurzweilige und interessante Stadtführung

Darko met us down by the waterfront and walked us all over old Split to see the highlights. He has an excellent background and is very knowledgable about the ancient and modern history of Split and Croatia. At our request, he talked about the GOT sites and took us to the synagogue. We stopped at a traditional bakery for a cannoli. We enjoyed our tour! It was just a group of four family members and we appreciated Darko's time and attention, which we would not have received in a large tour.Great tour with Darko

We had a 3 hour tour with Dubravka while we were in Split. She was extremely informative, enthusiastic, and full of interesting facts about Split. She truly made an ancient city come alive for us. We sampled a couple of local treats at the market, while she explained the significance of each one. Dubravka gave us some tips on other areas to visit during our trip, which is very helpful when trying to see as much as possible.
