Our tour with Josko was the highlight of our first day in Split. Josko was knowledgeable, engaging, and funny. He explained the history of Split in such a way that you real understood how the City came to be and also so much more than that. It made us appreciate Split in a way that we would not have otherwise. Joško was a wonderful guide...especially given the hot weather!! He was thoughtful in trying to keep us as comfortable as possible in the heat during our walking tour. He opened our eyes and minds to the rich history and nuances of Split. He was engaging, open and honest in his responses to our questions. We aren't fans of "typical" tourist experiences, but Joško made the tour of the historic palace and old town a joy and a unique experience. Joško was great! His stories and wide knowledge really helped us see how Split changed through the ages and especially how the Diocletian Palace and the Old Town came to be! We learned so much more than we would have done just looking around by ourselves or with guidebooks (which only tell half the story at most) and he even managed to keep a thirteen year old and an eighteen year old engaged for over two hours. A great recommendation for dinner rounded off the trip. Thank you Joško!How to bring Split to life!

We were on our final day of a 12-day cruise, and Maja provided us a lovely finish to our trip. She walked us through the Palace and explained so many things. She took great pictures of us, so that we would have wonderful memories of the day. Our tour included a treat and we asked if perhaps we could find a place for a local beer instead of ice cream - and she found a wonderful place tucked into a quiet, little square. She was very accommodating to swap out the treat for a beer - what a nice surprise! Nice guided walk through Split

We found him to be an engaging, funny and very personable guide and enjoyed learning many things about the old town, Diocletian Palace and Croatia in general. Dubravka (Dubi) sure knows Split! Our party of eight adults booked her for the hidden secrets tour and we are so glad we did! Dubi had many, often hilarious, anecdotes about living here as a child and how Split has evolved throughout her lifetime. She took us from the ancient history of the area to modern times in a fun and engaging manner. Her personality and love of her city and country shone through as she walked us through old town and the Palace. She even gave us some “inside” information on where to eat and what to do. Dubravka begann die Tour an einem Aussichtspunkt, von der wir einen guten Überblick die Stadt hatten und gab bei dieser Gelegenheit auch eine Übersicht über die Entwicklung der Stadt und das Umland. Anschließend gingen wir zu einem gut geplanten Rundgang durch die Stadt. Dubravka hatte an jedem Ort aus ihrem großen Wissensschatz zu den Hintergründen und Geschichte erzählt. Dabei langweilte sie nicht mit Fakten, sondern legte den Schwerpunkt auf geschichtliche Zusammenhänge und Hintergründe für die Entwicklung der Stadt. Der Rundgang endete mit einer Verkostung einer lokalen Süßigkeit und einen gemütlichen Plausch in einem Kaffee. Da wir außerhalb der Saison unterwegs waren hatten wir genug Zeit an den einzelnen Lokationen. Dubravka ist eine charmante Führerin, die Geschichte Splits und Dalmatiens lebendig vermittelt.Kurzweilige und interessante Stadtführung
