We booked last minute and were very lucky to find Thami had availability. We spent 3 hours walking and talking (and eating & drinking) at all the local spots. What was unique and most amazing on this walk was how much knowledge and love for the city he has. Many tours bounce you from spot to spot on a schedule often missing small moments or chances to sample local feeds, conversations or experiences. We drank coffee, ate fresh olives and dates, visited with Argan oil experts and even spent time watching and being shown working looms in the textile streets. We finished with a perfect view, mint tea and Thami giving us a final authentic experience at Cafe Hafa. Theres no question he loves this town and it loves him right back, he was greeted almost every five minutes and his friends and local business partners welcomed us in, shared their stories and products and made us feel at home. Can not recommend enough.Thami is Tangiers! Amazing Experience

We took a three hour walking tour around the Medina, Kasbah and surrounding areas in Tangier with Thami. I would totally recommend Thami as a knowledgeable, experienced and fascinating guide. He took us to places we would never have otherwise found, tailoring the tour to our interests and needs. We learned much about the area and the history of Tangier. Thami was a fantastic guide. I booked his tour only about two hours before it began because I planned my visit last minute, and it could not have turned out better. Notre guide n'était pas Youssef mais un de ses amis, une source d'érudition et d'anecdotes, qui avait l'air de connaître toute la medina ;-) Nous avons été parfaitement guidés dans les méandres de la ville nouvelle puis de la medina et sa kasbah. We only had a few hours one day and Youssef was a wonderful guide. Had we been on our own, we would never have been exposed to so much and with so much meaning. We visited Tangier for a day via ferry from Tarifa. We had booked a walking tour with Thami and enjoyed the tour and his company immensely. Thami is a top class guide and is full of information about the history and culture of Tangier and Morocco. We had complimentary mint tea enjoying the views from the terrace of the Hotel Continental followed by lunch at a very nice restaurant picked out by Thami. Then we enjoyed a walk through both old and new town areas discovering parts of the city that I know we would never have found on our own especially in the wonderful medina. Thami seemed to know everybody! Visits to spice and fabric shops were included but with no pressure to buy. Thami took time to answer all our questions and we had a really enjoyable and informative time. Highly recommended.Wonderful day in Tangier

We had a very enjoyable time with “Chop-Chop” the nickname for the guide who was replaced Youssef, who we originally booked with. “Chop Chop” knew every nook and cranny of Tangier and showed us to the non-tourist and tourist places to see and take photos. He was very affable and showed us around the city and stopped periodically to show us on the map exactly where we were and what we had covered. He took us to places to appreciate the local artisans such as rug making, woven scarves and clothes, authentic silver. We also went to a spice vendor. All the vendors showed us how their crafts were made. Our tour was enjoyable; he met us at our riad and showed us to a local breakfast place where we could enjoy a local Moroccan breakfast. Chop-chop’s tour was fun and he was very knowledgeable about the city. This tour was what it was advertised as and it fit the description. We would have liked more information about the background stories of the places we visited, but we were able to access that information on our own. Welcome to Tangier

I had already done a tour of Tangiers with FRS and it was so disappointing, we learnt more in five minutes with Youssef about the real Tangiers than we did with the whole tour with FRS. Youssef very friendly and knowledgeable, you get to go where history actually happened. We was taken places off the beaten track and we wasn’t pressured into doing anything we didn’t want to. The tour was everything we hoped for and more. We all had an amazing experience and we highly recommend him. We have already recommended him to friends who are planning to go to Tangiers. We will use him again on our return trip. Well worth booking with Youssef.

We booked Thami for the Hidden gems-tour, and we could not be more happy with our guide. He met us at the entrance to the city, walked around with us the whole day, showing us everything he thought we would find interesting, which we did, took photos and taught us the history of Tangier. He brought us to a fantastic, authentic Moroccan restaurant, where we had a great time, and walked us all the way to the ferry before departure. AMAZING!! I booked Yousef Sedraoui last minute for a 3 hour private tour of Tangier. He exceeded all my expectations. He customized it for my interests and made the city come alive with his history and stories. He was so nice and went over and beyond for me in multiple ways but specifically he coordinated a taxis to take me to the beach 30 min away AND bring me back. To top it off, he called when I was picked up to make sure everything went well. WOW!! I can not begin to thank him for his amazing introduction to Tangier and his kindness in helping me navigate my first day in the city. Book him immediately if you are coming. We travelled to Tangier after first visiting Casablanca. While Casablanca was interesting and full of history, it was overall not a pretty city to visit. There is a reason why many Moroccans and Europeans vacation in Tangier - it is breathtakingly beautiful. It is clean and safe and extremely friendly. Thami made our tour of the Medina enjoyable and fun. He was full of knowledge and knew plenty of locals along our walk. We would highly recommend Tangier as a city to visit and Thami to guide you around!Tangier is a gem!

Best decision we made was to pick Thami as our guide!! We love Tangier beacuse of Thami- we had the most memorable time ever! All the locals knew him well and through out the tour people kept telling us he is the best tour guide! Thami loves his city very much and made us fall in love as well. He took us to all the places he loves and got us to taste the best food Tangier can offer! We enjoyed delicious coffee, pastries, Streetfood, figs, dates and so on!! We got to meet some local musicians, artisans and herbalists. As a part of the tour we went in and out of facinating stores- didn’t feel like we needed to buy if we didnt have to-was grateful for the suggestions as we got some shopping done. When we go back to Tangier ( which we hope to oneday) we will definetly want Thami to be our guide!Pick Thami to show you tangier!

We had Hassan, not Youssef as a guide. Hassan is a nice kind man, he told us some historical facts, has shown Medina, fish and other markets in Medina, we went to a bench from the movie “Only Lovers Left Alive” and some other places. We were not in a rush and took our time. After the excursion we asked Hassan to recommend us some local nice restaurant with local music, which he also has done. In general we had nice experience in TangierNice acceptable variant for Tangier

He is a great story teller regarding the history of Tanger regardless of the language (English, French, German). Youssef seems to know everybody in the Medina and the new town which facilitates access to many interesting places (including various shops - though there is no pressure to purchase anything).Probably the best tour guide

When I booked this I was encouraged by Youssef bio, and the great reviews. He called me the night before the tour to say he was hours away in Fez, I presume he waited until this time to tell me so we couldn’t cancel and get a refund, he told me Hassan would collect us instead. I was disappointed because the tour was very expensive compared to others available but we had no choice. It started badly when he didn’t show up to our Riad as had been told to go to the wrong one, we met up with him and his driver (lovely man) and started the tour. Hassan talked facing forward monotone for 3 hours without drawing breath, he seemed annoyed when we interrupted his monologue with a question - he literally just spouted facts, had no charm, didn’t ask us what we were interested in, asked us no questions. The forest stop and lighthouse were great places to visit, but we were then passed to a strange man for the Hercules cave part of the tour who constantly pulled us and pushed us in the dark to position us for photos, this was completely inappropriate and none of felt comfortable with his behaviour. We then went to the medina. Expecting this to be the highlight of the tour, we walked into the old town and asked for a lunch stop recommendation. Hassan showed us to a very average Cafe Central - he explained because we didn’t want to buy any ‘quality’ items we didn’t need him and the tour was over. Two hours early. We’d paid over €300 euros for 3 hours of being talked at. The cafe was not what we wanted to eat (pizza etc) so we got up and left, to his credit he saw us leave from his cafe and recommended a Moroccan restaurant which was very nice. Honestly we are a nice family, we paid a lot of money for the tour and it wasn’t worth a tenth of the price. If you book this I would ask who was going to be taking the tour and get a guarantee you can cancel and get a refund if youseff isn’t available. Love Tangier really disappointed with this guide experience.Not worth the money and different guide

We highly recommend this tour by Youssef. We had a great half a day food tour with perfect insights into Medina and Kasbah. We learned a lot about the places, Moroccan history and people. Our guide Youssef wasn't available for our tour so we had it with another man. It was ok, he was very polite but we didn't learn very much..all he wanted us to know was that everyone knows him wherever he goes. he took us to Asilah and it was nice but his driver drove like an absolute maniac. We were also wanting to shop in the Medina but he took us only to places where he was going to get a kick back.. it was a very disappointing experience. Not Impressed

When I booked my tour with Youssef I read his background and decided he sounded perfect for me. He and I had a nice text conversation (at least I think it was Youssef) about the places he will take me. The next day a different guide, Mohammed, showed up to pick me up and do the tour. Mohammed didn't acknowledge the change until I asked--where is Youssef? The whole reason I booked this trip was because of what I read about Youssef. Mohammed was an okay guide. Very nice, but without depth to his knowledge. He primarily recited memorized facts, which may or may not have been true: this was the first women's prison. This was the first school. This may have been a roman graveyard. Nothing more than those facts. And leading us from thing to thing. Of all the things he said we'd do at the beginning, about a quarter of them were never mentioned again. And there was no mention of the conversation I'd had with Youssef. Youssef swapped for another guide

We had a great time with Thami. He was adaptive to our shedule and it was a very nice tour, where we tasted all of Thami's n°1 favourite foods. Although we already had tasted a lot of Maroccan food, Thami introduced us to some new experiences. Very relaxing, enjoyable tour with a sympathetic guide who loves a good laugh.
