Yulaikha gave us a very thorough and informative tour of the major sights in Yogyakarta. Her excellent English and deep knowledge of local history helped us to better understand and appreciate the sights at Fort Vredeburg, Kraton palace, Taman Sari and the surrounding neighborhood. Yula was the best guide we could have hoped for! Youla was a very enjoyable host. She was tallskive, her english is very good, and we particularly liked the chat we had in the restaurant waiting for lunch. My family spent the day with Yula to explore Yogyakarta and learn some of the history and culture of this fascinating city. Yula was a lovely guide and went above and beyond throughout the day. Yula is self-taught, but knows the city’s history very well and is able to explain the intricacies of the local culture. Yula is charming, speaks good English, and will adapt your time to help you get the best out of the day. We were there with our tween son and had to adapt to maintain his interest and energy and Yula was great with him. Spending time with Yula you will also get lots of insight into the life of young Indonesians in Jogja and the arts scene which she is in. We had a lovely day and I’d recommend Yula for anyone wanting to explore Jogja.Lovely guide

We loved everything about this tour! We both participated in many city tours and the tour with Yula was one of the best. It felt like spending an afternoon with friends thanks to Yula's friendly and easygoing way. Yula showed us the cultural and architectural highlights, introduced us to a local children's game (which we now play every evening during our Indonesia trip), delicious cake and street food, and shared Javanese insights. I had great time with Yula in Yogyakarta city! Yula contacted me in advance to clarify my plans and expectations, also helped to arrange transfer which I needed afterwards. The day itself was great! Yula showed us the different places in the city and told us the history. Unfortunately we were unlucky that some museums were closed. Yula knew how to deal with this well and showed us some delicious food spots. If I come back to Yogyakarta I will definitely book another tour with Yula!Very nice!

The food tour with Yula was truly amazing! It was nice to be taken through the busy streets of Jogja and learn more about the city/history/culture and also the traditional food. It was lovely chatting to Yula and truly felt like meeting up with a long-term friend and going out for dinner. As tourists we hesitated to try to the street-food vendors because we didn't want to get sick so it was nice to try it this way and also not risk getting sick because Yula knows exactly where to go. Definitely a must-do activity if you're spending some time in Jogja! It was lovely from beginning to end!

We loved everything from the beginning to the end. Yulaikha told us about the history of Indonesia and walked us around very busy center of Yogyakarta. She treated us with food from warungs, small shops and restuarants. Savoury dishes, sweet treats and few really surprising local delicacies. Tour was not rushed and selection of things to try was really good. Best guide and food tour!
