We had a fantastic walking tour in Lisbon with Angelo! It was perfect for our family — engaging for both adults and kids. Joao was so nice and extremely knowledgeable about the history of Lisbon. We felt like we got to cover the entire city during our tour and had a complete idea of the layout of the city, what each part of the city was like from a local perspective and learned a ton about the Portuguese culture. Joao was interesting, really friendly, and easy to talk to for the several hour tour. We arrived in Lisbon the day before and had been climbing all the hills to get around so when we met Joao and he showed us how to get around with better routes where you didn’t have to hike up all the steep hills, it changed the way we explored the rest of the city during our trip. We’d definitely suggest his tour to anyone visiting! Joao was great Best way to discover Lisbon

We booked a last minute tour of Lisbon’s highlights and hidden gems and were lucky enough to have João as our guide. Even though he just finished a prior tour, João was enthusiastic, warm, engaging, and clearly loved sharing his love of his city with us. João was very knowledgeable and just a great story teller, bringing Portugal’s history to life. We walked through several neighborhoods learning about their place in Lisbon’s history as well as important literary figures, famous places, and getting a great idea of the layout of this beautiful and vibrant city. Our three hours passed too quickly and ended with a delicious round of ginja. We had a wonderful three-hour tour with our guide, Lisa, who was incredibly accommodating from start to finish. Lisbon can be a tricky city to navigate, so it was a huge help that she met us right at our hotel. She gave us great local tips—where to eat, how to save money, and what’s actually worth spending on. She tailored the tour to both of us, even though we had different interests, and struck a great balance between history, hidden gems, and some fun street art. Her personality was warm and engaging, and she’s a fantastic listener. As fellow Americans, we felt instantly at ease with her, but it was clear she really understands and loves Lisbon. Henrique is a wonderful tour guide. His tour was perfect. We saw a great range of places, even avoiding the crowds in the more popular areas. We also saw some hidden gems, things you might walk by without noticing. Henrique tied the sites together with their individual history and how they fit into the greater history of Portugal. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Angelo and our time with him in Lisbon. We did both his Historical and 10 Tastings tours. We knew we would see interesting things and eat delicious treats. We did not realize we would walk away with such a deep understanding of Portugal's history, people, customs, wine and culinary delights. Not only did he spend extra time with us both days but he sent me an incredible number of recommendations for restaurants, bars and experiences for both Lisbon and Porto. Luis did a wonderful job keeping us informed and meeting us in a timely manner. Saw so many churches and beautiful sights, such as the Sao Roque, the Gloria elevator, the Se church, church of St. Dominic, history of the area, the plazas, the people and Porteguese rulers. We passed by so many areas and learned so much! Also had time for a water break, cherry liquor (ginjinha), and custard pastries! It was so worth doing, I highly recommend.wonderful day in Lisbon!

Really enjoyed our walking tour with David. He is very personable and knowledgeable. This 3-hour walking tour was the highlight of our trip to Lisbon. It is the perfect way to get the lay of the land once you get to Lisbon. Our guide, Sonia, was delightful and knowledgeable, and because she has a travel blog and TV travel spot, she is the ideal guide. For 3 hours she shared the history of Lisbon and stories about well known sites, as well as hidden treasures. She even bought us pastel de natas and cherry liqueur along the way! By the end of the tour, we felt that Sonia was a personal friend, and later she even helped us arrange a taxi to the airport. We give this tour, and Sonia, our highest recommendation!Fabulous tour

We visited Lisbon for three days and it was our first visit. We booked Lili on the first day to get an overview of the city. We booked her for a private tour, which was perfect. She is easy to talk to and asked a few questions to get an understanding of what we were interested in, and then she adjusted her planning accordingly. She showed us many hidden gems, which we loved. We still talk about the amazing library she showed us. She showed and told us about the city's history and important landmarks, which was great! She also gave us tips on restaurants, other things to see, but also what we didn't need to spend time on since we were there for such a short time. Would 100% recommend Angelo to anyone looking to experience Lisbon with a local! Angelo met us at the train station and asked us to treat him as a friend for the duration of the tour and said to ask as many questions we would like on various topics and sites as we travelled through the city. Angelo was very courteous and deeply knowledgeable on his subject. He obviously had researched this subject very well, both historic and current Lisbon. He very clearly loves the city and is very protective of its heritage. He brought us to a number of local shops and gave us a flavour of Portuguese/Lisbon culture including Ginjinha and the coffee culture. He also had a great rapport with local businesses. After finding I had a day free in Lisbon, I was lucky enough to book a last minute tour with Inez! She even offered to change the meeting place to make it easier for me walking there. A delightful experience. It is wonderful to experience her enthusiasm about Portugal and its history. She went Above and beyond to check the cleanliness of a public toilet before we used it- I would never even think of asking someone do that! Sunday am was perfect with less crowds. A savoury treat at my request site the pastel de nata are so addictive. Inez spontaneously shared her amazing singing at one point. Since she’s a professional- big surprise- it was so lovely! She recommended some other spots- Belem - and showed me where to catch the tram.that a must do was trying the pastais de Belem! Done, and delicious! A perfect day! Unexpected delight to tour with Inez!
