I like that Elisabetta was able to tell the stories of Florentines from medieval times to contemporary history. She knew a lot about culture, food and neighborhood hidden gems. I have been to Florence countless times and Elisabetta was able to show me new things. I highly recommend!Better than most tours of Florence

For 1.5 hours and tasting only 5 items definitely not worth the money. The tour was suppose to be 3 hours, it’s true we are vegetarians but we pointed that out prior to the tour.. so was disappointing when it finished soo fast. Antonella is a great guide and person It was ok

We were a group of 4, with interests in both food and crafts, so Alessandra was the perfect guide for us ! She was flexible with arrangements so we adapted the food tour to accommodate our other interests. Communication was extremely easy while we were planning, and the meet up was easy too. Alessandra took us to see a silk factory, a demonstration of paper marbling, a goldsmiths and others as well as finding time for food tastes in a tiny bar and a trip to a food market. Alessandra was a great host. She has a very thorough knowledge of the city and although it was a food tour she pointed out historical landmarks while walking around the city. She took us to a few great local spots that we would have never gone to having traveled on our own. The gelato that we ended our tour on was to die for! My husband and I had a wonderful early afternoon food tour with Antonella. She introduced us to a variety of delicious bites that we wouldn't have tried on our own. Alessandra was a wonderful guide, and her knowledge was huge and she shared it with us in such a fantastic way that we were spellbound. What a wonderful tour guide. Able to accommodate our group of 9 with food several food allergies and levels of vegetarianism to carnivore. Shared a wonderful paper marbling demonstration that WOWED. We really enjoyed our 10-Tastings tour with Christy. It was nice that she was from the States in terms of communication, which made for a smooth transition with this being our first activity in Florence. She explained some good history about the main market, took us to some wonderful hidden gems and even wove in some very interesting historical tidbits as we walked through the city, which we loved. My only critique is that I expected more sustenance from the food itself (I don't know if 3 types of biscotti counts as 3 different food items and this tour leaned much more on the sweet side than salty). That being said we went back to 3 of the spots more than once! If one has preferences on what flavors of foods is preferred, I’d bring that up in advance so accommodations can be made. Good start to a visit to Florence

We loved our tour with Alessandra! She was so knowledgeable about Florence, both its history and its food. We tried a great variety of delicious foods and Alessandra explained the relevance of each meal. We particularly loved the mouthwatering beef in red wine and the excellent wild boar salami. We loved our food tour in Florence with Christy. She is so knowledgeable and has such passion and love for the city. My wife and I had both been to Florence several times previously, so we weren't looking for just another walking tour of the sites. Christy's tour brought us to a new neighborhood of Florence that we had never explored before. Even better than that were the delicious bites we ate along the way. We cannot begin to express what a great tour we had with Elisabetta and Jeff. From the start she was warm and friendly. It is always a plus when travelling with children to start with the sweets which is exactly what we did with a super tasty bakery, followed by a Pastry Shop. We had heard about the Florence speciality lampredotto (tripe) and weren't sure if we’d like it, we told the kids it was meat and we all LOVED IT! During the tour, we heard about the history of Florence whilst we wandered from tasting to tasting and of course there was a stop for wine. No visit would be complete without gelato, which was a perfect way to end our tour. Passing palaces, markets and wine holes, we sampled some of the best street food and delights that this wonderful historic city has to offer. I wish we had more time with Elisabetta, she was great company!!! We will definitely reach out to her again next time we are in Florence!!! Guts, sweets and wine
