It is difficult to describe what a great experience it is to take a tour with Roxane. Roxane hat sich super nach den Bedürfnissen der Gruppe gerichtet. Wollen die mehr weniger, kürzer ..oder noch was anderes wissen. Geschichtliche zusammenhänge wurden witzig in Anektoten verpackt und verknüpft mit was wir schon gesehen hatten -so merkt man sich wirklich was. Roxane gave us a wonderful introduction to Vienna. This was our first experience with a personal/local tour guide and I don’t think we will be able to go back to group tours after! As this was our first time in Vienna, we chose a City Kickstart tour through Withlocals to get an overview and introduction of what to see. Our local guide, Roxana was amazing! In addition to her bubbly warm personality, she was a wealth of knowledge. In the relatively short time together, we learned more about the history, art, culture and unique aspects we never would have picked up in a large group tour or reading a visitors' guide. Doing this on foot was fanastic as we saw so much and knew exactly where we wanted to return to to spend more time and tour inside. Roxane was wonderful - from the great communications ahead of time to the level of detail and flexibility during our walk in and around town. We saw streets and landmarks that we never would have found on our own with a great history lesson along the way and clearly she has a fascination with art as well - so advice on museums etc was great! We also found some great places to eat based on her recommendations and she helped us navigate the tram a bit as well! Everything was smooth and easy with Roxane, from corresponding with her before the booking to meeting up my first morning in Vienna. She was willing to accommodate my request to get oriented to the transit system, including stops near my hotel, how payment works, and pitfalls to avoid. We talked about the history of Vienna and myths that make for great stories. You should ask about her thesis on cultural culinary institutions in Vienna! After our time together, I took our same route into the city center a few times and never felt lost. As a solo traveler in Vienna, I always felt more confident traversing the city because Roxane made key landmarks familiar. It was truly the best way to start my time there!Roxane was a delight!
