We were a party of 4 and had a fantastic tour with Arun at Keukenhof which is an amazing place! Arun arranged the public transportation, train and bus both very comfortable, and we traveled together arriving when the park opened. Thanks so much Arun for arranging an early start which allowed us to enjoy a good amount of time viewing the flowers without the crowds. He navigated our visit perfectly...made sure we visited the best parts of the park, shared lots of interesting information and gave us time to take photos while ensuring our group did not get separated once the park got busy. The visit was one of the highlights of our trip. I also wanted to say that pre-tour communication with Arun was excellent, and the meeting place was easy to find.Keukenhof

We had Arunabha earlier this AM for the 10 Taste Food Tour and we continued with him on this Tour! We took the train to the Bus station to go the gardens. Nice 45 ish ride. He told us people usually stay about 2 or 3 hours! At first we were hmm what could be there for that long!? Lol! Well, there is! We visited a week before the gardens would be closed ( completion of harvest) I so Glad we made it! Beautiful & Breathtaking Flowers as Far as the eyes can see! One member of our group of 6 was using a walker and Arunabha made sure Our Experience was well tailored for a full & Leisure Tour. He is well Vered Historian & Author who made both Tours Memorable! We did stay almost 3 hours! The exhibits and the Peacefulness of the Gardens are a Must see! And seeing it with a guide so you won't walk around Willy Nilly is a Bonus!!Best way to Experience Gardens!

Wow, what an incredibly knowledgeable guide Arunabha is. There are no facets about the red light district that he does not know. Arunabha provided a vast amount of information on the history of Amsterdam, Netherlands, vis a vis the invasion by Nazis and many perspectives on the resistance. He was knowledgeable about the role of the Dutch Empire and its impact on Indonesia and other former “colonies”. Thanks for a great tour.Informative tour, amazing.

We didn’t know what to expect, especially since this was the first time we have used With Locals. From the beginning Aruna impressed us with his knowledge of Amsterdam. This walking tour was one of the best decisions I took when I visited Amsterdam. Arun is not just a super knowledgeable tour guide, he is a great and kind human being too. He explained the history, and the present of every area we covered in a way that made us feel like we know his city so well too, a solid base for the rest of the days we spent there. I would recommend you to take this tour on the day of landing in Amsterdam, that would really be an amazing kickstart to your vacation. It really felt like we got a friend for life, in a new city, after spending few hours with him. In a nutshell, I would say, we had gem of a guide and fabulous experience. Must Do When You Are in Amsterdam.

Having a local tour guide removed the delay and frustration of having to figure out basic things in getting to where we wanted to go. It was great to have the stark contrast of a prior days trip where we needed to figure out how to get a ticket properly and missed an earlier train over it. When traveling with kids, these easy things are just not always that easy. To have that drama eliminated by meeting with Arunabha to walk us around, tell us the history of things, and then to end the tour with a food bites portion was amazing. He was helpful and fun with the kids. The local bites portion was an absolute highlight for our entire group. Arunabha knew just where to go, what was good, and in perfect portions. We would likely have never landed on any of the spots selected by chance, and certainly if we had, we would not have known what to order. I highly recommend a With Locals tour and plan to do it again! Absoulte highlight of the trip

Arunabha did an awesome job showing our group of 4 around the red light district despite the rainy weather and one of the members in our group being in a wheelchair. His knowledge of the history of the area definitely made this a very educational tour. This is a great way to really understand the cultural significance of the area. I had signed up for a tour with Arunabha, but at dinner the night before got a text from Vita saying she would be our tour guide. Vita was pleasant but not a great tour guide. She didn't speak loud enough and often walked ahead of us (facing forward) while talking which made it difficult to hear her. Her knowledge of what we saw seemed good, but she could have offered up more information. I felt like I needed to draw info out of her. She also was rushing us to leave our favorite part of the tour -- watching the saw powered by the windmill. I understand things come up, but no one ever told us what happened to Arunabha. For a tour of this price, I think we deserved an explanation or an option to reschedule. What we saw was good but the overall experience was just OK. I'd recommend the tour but not with Vita.Zaanse-Schans: I wish we had Arunabha

Thank you Arun for an amazing day in Amsterdam. We were a family of 4 who only had about 8 hours in Amsterdam. I messaged with Arun what all we wanted to do, vs booking multiple tours to try to achieve this. He took care of everything and put together a great itinerary that even my 12 and 14 year old daughters enjoyed. His knowledge of the city plus all the historical undertones and stories made for a memorable tour. His food stops were unique and delicious. We had a nice day, and covered most of central Amsterdam with Arunabha. We had asked for a tour from more of a cultural perspective. Arunabha was able to contextualize some of the things that we had seen in previous walks on our own and give us a an engaging, social history of the Netherlands. I don’t know how much he deviated from his normal talk for us, but we certainly saw some things that I don’t think we would have noticed or understood without him. Arun was our guide for the walking tour of the Amsterdam Red Light District and he was an excellent guide. He has a diverse fund of knowledge of the history of Amsterdam and the Red Light District. He shows you things that you would not pick up on your own. He knows exactly which streets and alleyways to take to show you the best highlights of the Red Light District. We met Arun downstairs at our hotel for our 4-hour tour… initial impression was skeptical based on the fact that he looked a little older than his photo and that he greeted us in a soft voice. Thankfully, he ended up being one of our favorite guides we had during our 12-country trip. He was very knowledgeable and knew how to build a cohesive story, relating the various historical and economic facts he shared consistently throughout the tour. He started immediately outside of our hotel by pointing out all the skinny, front tilting buildings with hooks fixed to the top of their façades; this was because homes were taxed on the width of the property during the 17th century, when many of the still-standing homes were built. We made our way through much of Amsterdam's Centrum, West, and Zuid (south) neighborhoods, learning and having stimulating conversation around the history behind Amsterdam (its influence on the NE United States including current NYC, unfortunately key role in the African slave trade, etc.) to the current-day socioeconomic environment and what makes the city uniquely beautiful. His background in corporate America as a professional consultant added a level of professionalism and discernment not inherent in most tour guides; he was attuned to our interests and personalities to tactfully build and execute an effective custom tour for us real-time. Arunabha is a great guide. He knows a lot about the history and culture of the netherlands and amsterdam, shows you the little details of the town and has a great sense of humor. On the tour I learned a lot about Amsterdam, discoverded some of the hidden gems and got great tips for food places. Sometimes interesting points are only a few meters away from the tourist crowded streets. I can highly recommand the tour.Great experience!

Arun was a great guide. He is very knowledgable, and is perhaps the most well-read person we have come across. He knows the city like the back of his hand, knows everything that happened here in the past and is happening at present. Not only that, he is a wealth of information on every place where the Dutch travelled - their colonies, the New York and the South Africa connections. Amazing anecdotes about the Dutch links to things like Santa Claus and barbeque. We also tasted a Surinamese sandwich - a special delight. Fabulous. Excellent experience
