A day tour of Ipoh provided the perfect introduction to a city we had not visited before. A combination of must visit sites, history of Ipoh and an introduction to Ipoh famous white coffee and select Malaysian dishes for lunch made for a fantastic day. In fact I would have to say the fish dish ordered by our guide Nurul has been the highlight of our trip to Malaysia, it was unique and very tasty.
Our guide Nurul was very informative and accommodating enabling us to experience a vast number of sights and experiences in what turned out to be a long exhausting but extremely good day. I can highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting IpohA great introduction to Ipoh

My brothers and I were back in Ipoh for our siblings reunion. Having grown up in Batu Gajah/Ipoh, we didn’t think there was much more we could learn but we were so wrong!!! Nurul was such a fountain of info, excited and thorough. Would not hesitate to do it again. Terima kasih Nurul! The Varugheses’A informative afternoon with Nurul!

We are so pleased about our trip yesterday with Nurul and her friend. They picked us up in Ipoh and we went to the Cameron Highlands. We saw the Moosy forest, a tea plantation, had a delicious lunch in a malaysian restaurant and an English afternoon tea at the smoke house. But the really great experience was to pass the day with Nurul and her friend. We learned a lot about Malaysian culture, history and nature. We laughed and we're guided perfectly, like to pass a day with good friends! Thanks a lot Nurul!!A great day with an extraordinary guide

Frustratingly Nurul arrived 40mins late to our meeting place so not a great start but to be fair she had kept us informed on her delay due to traffic issues, and in the end she extended the tour finish time to make up for the late start.
The tour itself was very informative and Nurul did a great job of bringing to life the history of Ipoh as well as sharing some of the more interesting places. We ended the tour with refreshments and then due to the lateness she got her friend to give us a lift back to our car, which we were grateful for.Very Accommodating

Nurul is an excellent tour guide. She was incredibly accommodating as my bus was delayed and she met me at my hotel. It was really great to hear about Ipoh from a local and the hidden facts that I would not have known without speaking to someone from here. Nurul answered all my questions and it was lovely meeting her. It felt like I was catching up with a friend and the cup of coffee and kaya toast rounded the tour off perfectly. A must for anyone coming to Ipoh. Thank you Nurul! A true local insight into Ipoh

Nurul showed us the highlights of Ipoh by walking us past meaningful buildings in the history of the city. She was friendly, knowledgeable and answered all our questions. She let us taste white coffee and toast which we loved! And we got the best Mango smoothie in town at a little shop she recommended. We highly recommend Nurul to show you around Ipoh!Knowledgeable and friendy tourguide!

I had a lovely time with Nurul exploring the old and new city of Ipoh central. We went to all the key attractions including some hidden gems and she even took me for some traditional Ipoh breakfast as I hadn't eaten. Nurul was very knowledgeable and gave tips for the remainder of my Ipoh stay which was very useful! I also enjoyed the company as I was travelling solo :) Fun with Nurul in Ipoh!

Thank you for an enjoyable food and history tour of Ipoh
We visited during Chinese New Year so a number of businesses were closed but we still saw a lot and enjoyed some food tastings, also our guide shared interesting stories of her youth and the town
Enjoyable food and history tour

We met Nurul at the Wei Nei biscuits and she took us to a park where there were a lot of street food outlets. Our first taste was cold fried fish gougons and then raw turnip with a sauce and sesame seeds. A drink of coconut juice followed and then food that was similar to a fried pancake and delicious. Nural informed us about the history of Ipoh as we returned to the old town.
The difficulty we had was that Nurul did not seem to be aware of the information on the website. We had to ask for Kaya Kok and also Ipoh white coffee. She was unaware of the list of typical drinks particularly alcohol as mentioned on the website. We did this tour early evening but places that she would have taken us to were closed. She offered to take us to another place but the heat was so oppressive we got her to drop us off at an air conditioned bar. Overall disappointing and not as expected from the what we had read on the website. We thought there would have been a planned route showcasing the local food. Certainly not worth the money.Disappointing
