Deze foodtour was fantastisch! Piyaporn was erg vriendelijk en vertelde leuk en gepassioneerd over traditionele Thaise gerechten. Really enjoyable tour. Sudarat was absolutely lovely, friendly, and knowledgeable. She introduced us to places and tastes we would never have found on our own. We visited a couple of eat-in cafes, explored a farmers market, and sampled eats at various food stalls. The variety of dishes was amazing, from morning glory to the infamous durian (which I liked!), and even some more adventurous options like fermented eggs (which I opted out of trying!). I am coeliac and therefore have to avoid gluten - something the Thai people aren’t familiar with so Sudarat was invaluable and did a great job checking ingredients and making sure everything was safe for me to eat. I could relax and not worry about what I was eating. Whether you're a foodie, got food intolerances, or just looking to experience the real Bangkok, I highly recommend this tour with Sudarat. The food is all included so we found it good value. Fantastic tour, ate lots and learnt lots!

We loved our food tour with Sudarat, it was the perfect introduction to Bangkok. My partner is celiac and needs to eat gluten free, which can make eating out difficult in Thailand. Sudarat was very accommodating and took us to a wide variety of places where he could also enjoy the food. She discussed his dietary restrictions with staff and he felt safe eating everything, he didn't have any reaction. All the food and drinks were delicious, it's hard to pick a favourite. I really enjoyed trying out different fruits at a local market and Sudarat catered to our preferences there. Sudarat was a very warm and engaging guide, with lots of interesting information to share.Fantastic food tour

We just finished our food tour with With Locals, guided by the incredible Sam – and it was beyond AMAZING! We were blown away right from the very first food stall he took us to. It was a hidden gem: a tiny local restaurant with no English menu and no English-speaking staff – we would’ve had no idea what to order on our own. But Sam took care of everything. He ordered a variety of dishes and explained every bite in detail – not just the flavors, but the cultural stories behind them. From there, each stop just kept getting better. Sam truly set the bar high from the start and kept delivering one amazing experience after another. After sampling several delicious local dishes, he took us to Or Tor Kor Market using Tuktuk! 😊 He guided us through the market, sharing fascinating insights along the way. We eventually sat down, and Sam ordered several incredible dishes for us to try. The mango sticky rice here was on another level – so different from what we’ve had in Melbourne. Every dish was a highlight, and Sam himself made the experience unforgettable. He’s friendly, knowledgeable, speaks fluent English, and was fantastic with our kids. Today’s experience was truly beyond words. We’re so grateful to Sam and With Locals for this unforgettable tour. 100% recommended!Beyond amazing!

We experienced so many great food tastes of Thailand with Piyaporn as our guide. We especially enjoyed tasting different varieties of mango, mangostein, melon, young coconut, and a seasonal fruit only found in Thailand in March through April. Although we enjoyed tasting different Thai regional foods at different locations, we felt that the best variety of Thai regional cooked/street food was at the vegetable/fruit market where Piyaporn excels at explaining the type of foods and ingredients of each dish. We had a wonderful food tour with Piyaporn! We tasted several different street foods, a few dishes at a restaurant, and many tastings at the local market. The food was phenomenal and we tried a diversity of dishes. She explained how the food was made, the cultural/regional significance, and the history of Thailand. We never felt rushed and she made it easy for us because she took care of everything (ordering food, paying for it, ordering a tuk tuk ride to the market). The day after the tour, Piyaporn sent us recommendations for local restaurants near our hotel and near the sites we saw that day. As expected, they were delicious! We booked a custom private food tasting tour of Bangkok's Chinatown with Apicha and had an amazing time. Apicha customized the tour to our tastes and provided flexibility as we walked through Chinatown and foods caught our eye. We went to a few different areas and made several stops. We started with a fascinating tea shop where we tried and learned about many kinds of tea. We were treated like VIPs at every spot Apicha took us to. I got to try spicy foods "like the locals eat", and my fiance got to avoid spice while still having a great experience. We got to see spots that are trending with locals and all the food we tried was high-quality and delicious! Having Apicha as a guide gave us access to culture, food, local insights, and laughs we wouldn't have had otherwise. His Chinese and Thai background and experience in the food industry gave him a ton of knowledge that made the food tour especially interesting. I would totally do another food tour with him again. We had a ton of fun and learned a lot. 10/10 highly recommend!!Fun time with culture and food expert!

Sammy showed us his favourite food stops and we loved the mix he chose! This was not our first time in Thailand, so we were happy to be shown dishes that were not known to us! Sammy was a honest, young local which gave us a great taste of the local street food market in a busy neighbourhood in Bangkok. We got to taste a good wariety of food, partly in the pathway streetfood shops in a condomanian neighbourhood and partly in a street market with big wariety of meat, fruit, vegetables, cooked food and equipment. We enjoyed every minute of the walk with Sammy. He told us about himself and the local spirit in the area as well as he showed us an interest in our roots and lifestyle. Araya chose two fascinating food markets, including famous Or Tor Kor market (considered one of the best in the world). She toured us around, explaining, offering little tastes of fruits and snacks. Lots of insight into Thai food culture and life in Bangkok. At the end of the walk through much of the market, she said, “Now, please pick six foods that caught your fancy, and I’ll go get them for you.” Tough to choose, but we managed! Nok is an amazing guide. She took the time to figure out our taste preferences and determine how adventurous we are. Based on that she lead us on a tasteful (pun intended) tour. She has detailed knowledge of the foods and was happy to share. We had a chicken curry and she pointed out the hint of cinnamon in the meat. The downside to the tour is that you get too much food to eat and end up leaving some on the plate. We truly enjoyed our time with Nok and have recommended to friends coming next month that they setup a tour with her.Tour of tastes and memories

For a 140 euro food tour you would expect more than one meal. Our guided food tour with Apicha in Chinatown began with him asking our expectations to which I replied some really good food! First stop we had an oyster omelette and sweet and sour fish which were fine to begin our tour with. For the remaining 2 and a half hours we wandered around and were provided with a shrimp ball (we had one he scoffed 2) from a vendor in the market area which was tiny and that is all the food we were provided with. We also had a revolting herbal drink but fine to try and a coconut drink for dessert followed by a tea ceremony which was nice to try. But we were starving and had to go out for food as soon as it finished. I would suggest the food he paid for was around 20 euro! If that wasn’t bad enough we had to hear about ping pong shows and watch him use tinder during our tour incredibly unprofessional. I provided feedback to with locals and were provided with a voucher which although a nice gesture certainly didn’t make up for our woeful experience. I feel totally ripped off and disappointed with wasting valuable travel time!Disappointed Experience

Our guide was 30 minutes late to meet us. While he did take us to several spots and we tried a variety of items, we tried neither mango sticky rice nor pad Thai both of which were mentioned in the description. The guide also swore multiple times and shared inappropriate anecdotes with our teens about visiting the red light district. We rushed from place to place, were hurried around to venues that seemed quite far apart as we traveled by sky train and then 2 tuk-tuks. We learned a bit about food, we tried a variety of items, but the tour was lacking in professionalism and ease. Not as expected.

Our guide was very nice and we enjoyed getting to know her but overall this tour felt very disorganized. The location was changed before the tour which meant we missed out on Or Tor Kor market completely (something I had been looking forward to and had no other time to fit it in this trip). Our main location ended up being a shopping mall with sweets stalls first, followed by the mall’s food court for more savory dishes. Honestly, that was disappointing— I don’t need a tour guide for a shopping mall food court. We also thought we were getting the experience of someone else pre-selecting or at least maybe having a list of the must-try foods. This was really left to us to decide what to eat, and considering how this was marketed this was really confusing. We did end up at an outdoor market and tried a couple of “street foods,” which was nice and more in line with what I had expected, but unfortunately that part of the tour seemed like an afterthought because most things were closing up when we got there. Overall, I tried some new things and everything was tasty, and again, our guide was very nice, but this was a very expensive tour and the value just wasn’t there. Not quite as advertised

Moddy was an excellent choice for our tasting tour. Great communication before meeting her - especially as my wife is gluten intolerant. Tasted some amazing street food and saw some wonderful markets. Also learned so much about Thai culture. Moddy is very enthusiastic and full of energy and was clearly keen on us having a good time. Highly recommended! Very informative, delicious and fun.

Me and my girlfriend booked Araya for the foodtour the day we arrived to Bangkok. She was an amazing host and had a wonderful positive energy about her. It was a great introduction to the city too. The food, she selected, was tasty, interesting, diverse, including visiting one restaurant with Bib Gourmand distinction. We also got introduced to many local fruits, rode tuk tuk and visited the weekend market. She also sent us a summary of what we had eaten later and recommended restaurants for other days in Bangkok. Araya was a great tour guide, except for the delicious food we ate, she also talked to us about life in Bangkok and gave us helpful tips for our stay in Bangkok. It was a great way to kick off our trip!Great to experience Bangkok through Araya
