Marcos met us in front of the Mercado Central and asked questions to get to know us a bit before taking us on a walk around the historical center of Valencia. Since we had already been in the city for a few days, he made sure not to take us to places we had already visited, and instead offered new, refreshing information that only locals can provide, put events and places into historical context, and paid a lot of attention to our 8 year old son, trying to make the experience fun and interesting for him as well. We are very pleased to have chosen Marcos for our tour, and highly recommend him for family tours, and any other type of traveler interested in the culture and history of Valencia. I and my 3 children (8y,10y and 14y) went on a city trip to Valencia and I was looking for a kind of guide who could make a tour interesting for children. After a long search I came across Marcos 'family tour' advertisement. He felt good and so I booked his family tour Valencia. It is always a bit exciting, because certainly the youngest of 8 years old does not speak English (the other does well), except for a few words and therefore there is a degree of difficulty to get such a child involved in a tour where English is spoken. However, Marcos was really fantastic and through patience, interaction, but also by paying attention to each child, he made sure that each child understood his story or question. Of course I sometimes translated a bit for my youngest child. What really gave his tour power, was by working with images and a local tasting. I am a culture and history freak myself, but he also fascinated me with his stories about about the city, which was very educational for me too. In 3 hours he took us through the old city and took us to a number of sights. Marcos fascinated us enormously and we quickly formed a bond. This is very nice. It was a pity that he was going on holiday the next day, otherwise I would have booked another tour with him immediately. Marcos also does customized tours if you want that. His communication is very fast, which we Dutch people really like. If you are looking for a quality guide, then Marcos is the right person for you. Our guide was Marcos and he was one of the best tour guides we've had. We were travelling with our three young kids and Marcos did a brilliant job of tailoring the narrative to ensure they were always engaged and interested. He also incorporated a number of unplanned detours to get the kids ice cream!! It was our first time in Valencia so the itinerary curated by Marcos was bang-on the money. I was actually surprised with the range of sites we were able to cover in 2 hours. One of the subtle highlights was walking through the back-lanes rather than on the main streets all of the time. It gives a greater sense of the Old Town, it's history but also the way of life now. Great job Marcos and thanks very much.Well Organised and Great Value

Marcos was a great guide! He was wonderful at navigating the needs & interests of me and my wife, my mother in law who is very into Jewish history, and our two kids (8 & 6). He totally engaged the kids by getting on their level (physically) and responded quickly when we needed the many bathroom breaks (small bladders...). Mike did a great job in creating a tour adapted to the interests of the whole family and managed to keep our two kids focussed on the various details of the streets, buildings and history of Valencia. This was all the more challenging as we already had gone on a tour of the city a few days before. We never felt hearing it all over again. Touring Valencia with Esther was a wonderful experience for my 10 y/old son and me! We had such a great time with her showing us her city and telling us stories about its past (beware of bats! 😊) and its present (the way we looked at graffiti all around changed completely into a game, after hanging around with her! He’s a teacher by profession, and it really showed in the way he was able to get the kids involved, keep their attention, and explain interesting things using stories and humor. We did the family tour with Marco. He was the perfect guide. There was 3 children in our group, 10, 8 and 1 and they all loved it and were entertained from finish to end. Even though it was in the high 30s Marco made the tour very comfortable finding shady spots and going at a nice pace. He was very knowledgable but interesting and his passion shone through. we paid £140 for 2 people to have a tapas tour, we got the food equivalent of no more than £25. Host was nice, but would absolutely not recommend this tour. one small slice of baguette small beer half a slice of tortilla one croquette Nougat bar to shar Tiny cup of cocktail Really bad value for money, host was nice

Wij vonden de tour van Maria er interessant, want ze wist heel veel te vertellen over de stad en de geschiedenis. Our tour with Luciana was the highlight of Valencia! Beforehand, we were able to share our wishes, and Luciana took them into account perfectly! Besides the delicious food, she also knows a lot about fun neighborhoods and spots in Valencia that we otherwise would never have discovered. She’s very social, which makes it feel less like a tour and more like a friend simply showing you around the city. Before we commenced our tour with Luciana we exchanged WhatsApp messages re meeting up and she finished with “ Let’s have fun “ . That’s exactly what we had on this tour . We met at 7pm and essentially had a night out - food tasting and drinking in very well chosen tapas restaurants and bars . We finished off indulging in the local concoction Agua de Valencia - one jug wasn’t nearly enough . Fabulous night , fabulous tour Luciana is a terrific guide ! Highly recommended. Lets Have Fun !

We had a great time with Marcos. In the time allotted, he took us to so many places and site. He gave us the rich history and knowledge of each stop. It was extremely hot, and he made small tweaks in the tour to ensure we were in the shade, stopped for water, and were doing ok overall. He engaged my 11 year old son and my 15 and 17 year old daughters. Fantastic Tour of Valencia!!!

Luciana was so smiley and chatty all the time, she gave us lots of really interesting information about Valencia , showing us various historic buildings to go to (free) on a Sunday! We went to 2 tapas bars and had various delicious dishes + we had a couple of drinks and 2 different ‘Spanish treats’. A fun evening of food and information!
