Piya was a delight to walk Bangkok with. She planned a tour that touched on many facets of the city while staying comfortable in high temperatures. She was knowledgeable, kind, and attuned to the interests of all of us. Our 3 hour tour lasted 4 and a half hours and brought us through markets, malls, and temples. Piyaporn gave us an interesting and personalized tour of Bangkok that included many places we would have never found on our own. This was the first time we have booked through Withlocals and we would definitely do it again. We had a wonderful tour with Artty. Our driver was late dropping us off and dropped us in the wrong place. Artty was very accommodating and made his way to us. We had the most amazing experience touring Bangkok with Gune. She was so wonderful and knowledgeable. It was our first activity after landing in Thailand and we were able to see and learn so much. Gune was the best and was able to give us many other suggestions of restaurants and sights to see after the tour. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a walking tour! Best tour!

We were only in Bangkok for just over 24 hours so we were keen to have a tour to ensure we saw the highlights (without all the tourists) that worked for my family ( 2 adults and 2 girls aged 12 and 10) so we booked a 4 hour tour with Saravarint and it was just fabulous. We tried delicious food at an off the beaten track food market, we folded lotus flowers at a flower market, we went to a couple of beautiful temples and fed some turtles. We all loved it and Saravarint was very knowledgeable and patient with us as we made several toilet stops! The highlight of our trip to Thailand. Thank you Saravarint. We absolutely loved our tour of hidden gems by Sudarat. She was just fantastic. Extremely accommodating and kind as we had one person with a bad knee. He was extremely knowledgeable and taught us all different things about Bangkok, Buddhism, showed us high points of various temples and monuments. He also showed us how to make lotus offerings at the temples and took us on a tuk-tuk ride through the flower market it was truly an amazing journey. We booked the “Highlights and Hidden Gems of Bangkok” with Tony today and we had such a fabulous tour. Tony was very knowledgabke and we learned so much about Bangkok, its culture, history, food, religion Buddhism imparticular and generally how the Thai people live. Ton took us to see some amazing temples, local markets, including an Insight to where the locals lives which we ould never have found ourselves. When we visited the local food market he explained all the different food on offer. Thanks to Tony we tried some food we may not have, had we not take the tour. The food was delicious. I did the “Highlights and Hidden Gems of Bangkok” with Tony today. He was fabulous!! He educated me so much about Bangkok/Thailand history, stories about Buddhism/Hinduism, and current Thai life. One highlight was Wat Ratchabophit Sathitmahasimaram Ratchaworawihan, which was a stunning temple with 1/10th of the crowd of the more renowned temples. Tony even helped me negotiate with the Taxi driver after the tour ended. I will definitely be doing another tour with Tony when I return to Bangkok!!Tony is an excellent guide!

The second day, which was a tour of food and food markets, was amazing. We had an incredible tasting tour that highlighted traditional Thai food. Amazing! I had the most wonderful and rested morning exploring the temples and the flower markets. Araya is thoughtful, kind, generous and compassionate. She holds a wealth of knowledge. The paintings on the temple walls are stunning. If you love art and wish to understand more about the Buddhist temple then you will be in your element. Many of the hand painted walls look like wallpaper straight out of Florence Broadhurst and Williams Morris. The flower market is an explosion of colour. We booked the Hidden Gems tour with Hnoi and she gave us the perfect start for our first stay in Bangkok. We visited a local mall, the flower market, the temple Wat Arun and a street market. We had a fantastic tour with Artty and can highly recommend him. He trained in the best Art College on the city and is a photographer so was the perfect choice for us. He did not bombard us with facts but kept us interested as we wove our way around a smaller temple, fabric and flower markets and across to Wat Arun. We travelled by boat, tuk-tuk and on foot and really felt we were truly seeing the Big Mango with an engaging, knowledgeable local person.
