Con mia moglie, abbiamo passato una stupenda giornata con Emanuele in una visita alle chiese di Roma ed alle Terme di Caracalla. Emanuele ci ha edotto su aspetti della Roma antica, veramente poco noti, come le acque che arrivavano a Roma attraverso i vari acquedotti, interrotti dai barbari invasori e ripristinati solo nei secoli successivi. Anche nella visita alle chiese la nostra guida è stata molto esauriente nelle spiegazioni e nei dettagli. We were a party of 4 and decided to do a tour by car as my parents are not big fans of walking. So Emanuele picked us up with his fantastic and very comfortable Mercedes GLA and off we went! It was basically the first time for all of us in Rome (my parents had visited ages ago and didnt remember much). We spent 3 hours with Emanuele taking us around the most known must see places in Rome but also showed us many hidden gems. We made several stops to walk around certain parts of the city. The tour was also a compact lesson of the history of Italy!! Rome for Dummies! His great passion and knowledge made this tour really worth while. He was very attentive even after the tour during our whole stay suggesting things to do the next day and recommended also restaurants (not only the "famous" one that are known to tourists but also the ones the locals prefer, which is what one really needs. My family and I had a wonderful experience with Emanuele. We had a short amount of time in Rome and wanted to give our son a guided tour. Although my husband and I had been previously, we were all treated to some new historical spots. Emmanuele who speaks excellent Spanish met my friend and I at our hotel with his very comfortable car. He does not drive like an Italian, how he dealt so smoothly with the traffic and kept talking to us I do not know! Emmanuele took us to places where we could overlook Rome and there were hardly any tourists in sight. In retrospect this was an even greater privilege when we later had to deal with crowds of us tourists. Emmanuele is a Roman and knows his city inside out and tailored this tour to our requirements, first time and ignorant but I reckon he could give a professor of Italian history a run for his money! We were given a perspective of the history of Rome which was both informative and unique, I was fascinated. Later on regular tours I listened carefully for some of those key extra details and they were not forthcoming. What a beautiful city Rome is, the 3 hours were so special and interesting. Definitely the highlight of our trip to Rome. I couldn’t fault this experience in any way so I gave it a 10 and booked Withlocals for Florence next! Do this first!

Emanuele is an amazing one! A rare find! If you do visit Rome whether as an old or first timer, and is looking for a momentous experience, book him. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about history, and flexible with scheduling! He made us feel comfortable, conscious of my older parents’ needs and compassionate! Emmanuel helped us plan the trip to Rome right from the onset, communicating with him was super efficient and quick. he picked us up from the hotel, the car was clean and seeing Rome in the evening is truly amazing. Emanuele picked us up at our hotel and from the moment the tour started he was sharing interesting facts mixing history together with the present day. He customized the tour to include our wish list and exclude things we’d already seen, and the order of spots was prefect. Emanuele was the ideal guide and provided us with a thoughtfully custimised tour. We had been to Rome before, so we asked for a more in-depth perspective, and Emanuele delivered perfectly! As we were staying in the pedestrian area, he suggested we start the tour on foot and then we moved to the car for the balance of the tour. A great combination that enabled us to comfortably explore key sites close to our hotel and then experience views of Rome from the Hills and sites further afield. I was very happy to choose the MB for maximum leg room for myself. Before our tour he reached out to ask what our preferences were. Our family of 4 had the perfect afternoon in Rome with Emanuele. We communicated before based on the standard tours we booked to all the must see places in Rome. Based on this, he planned a tailored experience and a list of very important sights. We would have never seen these beautiful places without him and he brought not only a historical perspective but a story to each place that also gave our children a greater understanding of what they were viewing on their level. Emanuele was AMAZING! My boyfriend and I had only 2 days in Rome, and this was the perfect way to kick start our trip, and get a full view of the city before we did our own exploring. He was so friendly, knowledgeable of the city, and had so many fun facts and hidden gems to share. He was very flexible and willing to tailor our trip to our needs. We had tours of the Vatican and the Colosseum the following day, so we asked him to take us to a few more local spots instead. We began on foot, visiting amazing churches, fountains and landmarks. We drove up Gianicolo for a view, stopped in Trestevere for a bite & Peroni, and ended with more site seeing. It was a VERY hot day in Rome, almost 95 degrees, and the car was hot, but other than that - I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this experience. This was not our first visit to Rome and we are staying across the street from the Colosseum and we have been to the Vatican before. Emanuele provided my wife and I a custom tour of spots we would never had found without him. Emanuel was amazing! He was not only so gracious with his time and offering recommendations before we arrived in Rome, he went above and beyond, accommodating 2 additional family members that ended up traveling with us at the last minute. Our family spent the morning with Emanuele doing a combined walking/driving tour and really enjoyed the whole experience. He met us by our AirBnb and we walked around Rome's centro storico. We enjoyed seeing the piazzas and fountains, and even popped into several churches to look at the lovely art inside. Then we hopped into his car to go a bit further afield. Emanuele drove us to the tops of a few of the hills of Rome (much easier than trying to walk!) and we were able to enjoy views of the city laid out below us. He pointed out details for us to notice everywhere we went. He was kind enough to stop for sandwiches and even took us for some fantastic gelato at the "ice palace" when our kiddo got a bit hangry. I’ve used guides before, but Emanuele was the best ever. He catered our time with our tastes in mind, he was full of unique information we never would have discovered on our own and he was full of quality information about Rome and how the history fit together. He focused our tour on the non-touristy things to see, such as a small church with a Rafael painting that was literally empty of other visitors. What a luxury to see such an amazing work without fighting the crowds. He also took us to fountains that are older and more important than Trevi, which is so crowded, you can’t even take a photo. We started the tour in his antique Fiat 500 for a few stops in the inner parts of Rome, then we changed to a full sized more comfy car for the majority of the time. He will customize your trip best if you share some messages back and forth to organize your wonderful Rome experience. Even better than expected.

We did Rome in a day from our cruise ship! Emanuele was awesome, loves his City and takes you on the coolest tour in his Fiat! We did 50/50. Half of the day in the Fiat and half the day walking through the typical sites. He is friendly, makes you feel safe and takes you to places you would never see in Rome otherwise. LOVED EVERY SECOND OF THE TRIP! THANKS EMANUELE!Worth every penny!

Emmanuele is very friendly and likes to talk a lot about Roma. He's very interested in the history about his city so he knows a lot about it! The trip is very personalized and the apéritivo is very nice and friendly of him. He took good care of my grandmother and he told me thinks that I didn't know :)))) thanks a lot!!! 👌😜 wauw

I have been to Rome several times and had the chance to visit it with my Italian friends. This time l wanted to surprise my partner and enjoy the city differently. Emanuele is an amazing guide.
