What a fabulous tour! Our group rated it as the highlight tour of our trip! Gennaro was great in sharing all his knowledge and showing us great spots to see. It was lovely spending time in Ravello but the best was of course goi g to Mario’s lemon orchard and having a fabulous lunch surrounded by lemons! Mario and his wife provided a super delicious meal and it was a treat to have his wine and of course his limoncello. Generous drove us gently up and down the mountain! Highly recommend!Superb experience!

It’s very difficult to put into words our tour with Gennaro, as I was quite moved by the end of it. Gennaro highlighted the complexities of this incredible city as he guided us around. He sees the city from the eyes of a local, but also from the eyes of an outsider, thanks to time he also spends away from Naples. He explained Naples’ history, how it developed, and how it works today. We walked the main streets, wandered the Spanish Quarter and also took the Funicular to see a truly amazing view of sprawling Naples. We learnt about the light and shade of the city, cultural elements, superstition, religion, food, music, tourism and education. Gennaro is so passionate about Naples and we were incredibly grateful for the time we spent with him (we also did a pizza making class and food tour with Gennaro - all incredible). We had a group of eight of us on our historical walking tour and pizza-making class with Gennaro. I can't express how incredible our experience was! In all, we spent four hours with Gennaro, first with a walking tour of the Old Town, where we learned about the millenia of history that make Naples what it is today. We had two kids in our group, ages 10 and 12, and Gennaro did an exceptional job of making sure they followed everything and were involved in every detail (like when we went into a special shop that makes very unique Neapolitan nativities out of cork) and had all their questions answered. We learned about the historical gates of the city and went to the old fish and food market street. It seemed like everywhere we went, everyone knew Gennaro! He was kind, fun, and took every details into consideration and control, which was great in a city as busy and sometimes overwhelming as Naples! There are so many words that I can use to describe how amazing the pizza-making class was at Gennaro's apartment, but here are just a few: delicious, special, memorable, fun. I would take that class again! We all learned so much and enjoyed every moment of it. In all, I can't recommend Gennaro highly enough. Your group will enjoy your time with him! And we thank Gennaro for helping us with details that made our day in Naples even easier, such as helping to manage our luggage storage and transport. We are history enthusiasts that were keen to have a more detailed tour of Naples & its founding origins. For this reason we sort out a guide that had an in-depth knowledge of Naples history and not the basic history. First of all, Gennaro is the experience! He has a charismatic and playful personality which lended well to being our pizza teacher. We started in the market and he talked through this history of the tomatoes and produce we were seeing and the history of Naples. He is a true local and knows the best places to eat and shop. It was hands on and we were not only connecting with Gennaro, but also Vincenzo the pizza master in a real Pizzeria Napoletana making true World Unesco grade Pizza Napoletana. What a fantastic tour. Gennaro is warm, genuine, knowledgeable, funny and engaging. He loves sharing his hometown of Napoli, not as a tour, but rather an experience. I felt like walking through a new town with a dear friend, whom we knew only for a few hours. The 3-hour tour flew by as we sampled some of Napoli’s famous foods… mozzarella, cuoppo, taralli, pasta, sfogliatelle, limoncello, espresso and, of course, pizza. Good communication with Gennaro who offered to take us from our hotel in Pompeii to Ravello. A good organiser and we did all we wanted without stress. We had coffee in a cafe near a car park in Positano and walked around without too many steps involved! He found a great restaurant by the sea in Amalfi and dropped us off, right by it. A good, safe driver, fun to be with and we enjoyed his company. He managed to find olive oil for me to taste & buy and on a photo stop, we experienced an engagement! A great day. We loved our time with Gennaro - he is such a warm person with a huge amount of knowledge of not only food in Naples but also its history and culture. We had our 9 year old son on the tour and Gennaro kept him completely engaged (which is a hard thing to do), without ever talking down to him. Our afternoon with Gennaro was exceptional! First, we were so thankful that he thought to contact us a few days before the tour to see if we had flexibility in our schedule. Given that we booked in the off season and on a Sunday, certain things may have been closed later in the day and he suggested, if possible to meet earlier. A very thoughtful gesture. We are a young couple on our early 30s from Spain. We did two amazing tours with Gennaro, one by walking and one by car, the first at the historical centre of Naples (including the Decumani, Pignasecca market and the Quartieri Spagnoli, plus recommendations for other areas) and the second outside of the city, through the Amalfi coast. It was our first time doing something like this, and Gennaro has exceeded all our expectations. Everything you can read on the reviews is true: he goes above and beyond to give you the best of Naples, whether you’re looking for culture, food, history or entertainment. My recommendation is that you get in touch with him and tell exactly what you’re looking for, and he will provide. The tour at Naples was the best introduction possible to the city in just a few hours, while the Amalfi tour was the most beautiful day-trip that we could have asked for. Everything was 10 out of 10. His knowledge of the region, his recommendations and honesty, his sense of humour, even his driving! Thanks so much for your time and dedication, Gennaro. We really hope to meet you in Naples again! We visited Napoli for 3 days; we heard so good about Napoli: its history, food and authenticity! We start looking for some tours, was plenty of guides and sites, but finally we found Gennaro and we booked a pizza class with him on this site! It was one of the most fun, nice, interesting, engaging experience we had in all our trips!! The pizza class was professional and at same time interesting! We ate the pizza we made and was so tasty and fulfilling! While sharing with us all the secrets for making our ow authentic napoletan pizza, Gennaro was also telling us history of food in Napoli and history of the city! He his so professional, knowledgeable, fun, and so easy to interact! As time passes we were convinced that all the reviews we red on this site they were not just true but they were excactly describing the personality of Gennaro! We felt after few minutes that we found a fantastic guide but also a new friend! Not only: his passion for Napoli made us choosing him as our guide for the rest of our days in Napoli: 3 days and 3 days touring with Gennaro! He was always on time, always showing all the attention with small deteils, very dedicated to us! The way he showed the city: historical part mixed with the hidden gems he selected for us was one of the highlights of our entire trip to italy! We already wrote a lot ! I’m not even sure where to begin, but I’ll say that Gennaro is simply amazing. We enjoyed the food, but the best part was our guide. Gennaro went above and beyond to make this a memorable experience for us. We totally recommend booking this tour and choosing Gennaro. If we ever return to the area, we will choose him for any of the tours he does. Incredible

What makes pizza different in the place where it was born? Find out in just a few hours by letting Gennaro walk you through each step, including visiting the outdoor market for some ingredients (and recommendations for where to eat later in your trip). Due to some technical difficulties, we did our pizza making in an actual pizzeria kitchen in their off hours. In a way, it was a bonus, because we had both Gennaro and Vicenzo, a pizza master making pizzas in his family's restaurant. It was wonderfully fun, and the Pizza we made was delicious! We learned the extra details of how to properly knead the dough, how to properly measure out ingredients for the correct ratio, and the secret to making the sauce just right. Afterward, Gennaro sent photos and video he took, as well as the instructions so we can do our best to replicate it at home, at least as well as our paltry home oven can handle. An experience we'd highly recommend for anyone who lives to cook, loves to eat, and enjoys meeting new people along the way!Iconic Napoli Experience!
