We loved our tour with Pedro. He showed us things we would not have found on our own. We met in Placa Cort in front of an incredible 600-year-old olive tree, Olivera de Cort. Great start! We saw something interesting right off the bat. He spoke with us about the kind of tour we preferred. We wanted a little of everything—history, architecture, culture, and interesting tidbits. He delivered. Inside the city hall, are fascinating giant people. There is also a cardboard mache representation of the dragon of Na Coca. He told us that urban myth. The sky was phenomenal that day, so we got outstanding photos of the church. He also took us to the Arab Baths. The surrounding garden was beautiful. We were served some local pastries. Pedro had the most expressive eyes and showed a lot of enthusiasm for his town and its uniqueness. It was one of the best days of our vacation.Fabuloso!

We arrived in Palma Saturday February 10 2024 in the morning, Frank was very flexible on our tour times. We met Frank at our meeting point and our adventure began. Our tour was to be 3 hours long but extended out to 4 hours. To have a Professor guide you around the city was amazing. The conversations we had along with the sights made Palma memorable. Frank hosted my wife and I for a highlights and hidden gems walking tour in Palma which was terrific and did everything we hoped it would. Frank's expertise in social history provided a great anchor for stories and insights to be woven from, all of which were told in an highly engaging and personable way. The time flew. We usually do a walking tour early on in city breaks to get our bearings and work out what we want to see again or where we have seen enough. It was a well curated walk and with plenty of suggestions of additional things to explore, some not always obvious from other sources. As well as an accelerated induction to Palma, we were able to more effectively plan our remaining days as a consequence. Frank was charming company too.Informative and engaging

Cesar met us right on time and we started on a delightful walking tour of the highlights of old Palma. Cesar was very accommodating of our individual needs as we made our way. He was very personable and engaging in his interaction with us. As we wrapped up our event, we asked him to recommend restaurants and other sites for our following days on Mallorca. He responded later that day with a detailed itinerary for the rest of our stay, complete with dining recommendations. Alvaro was amazing. He truly loves the city and we left wanting to come back to Palma. We saw so much in 2.5 hours it was surprising. Great history lesson. We had a day in Palma towards the end of our transatlantic cruise and because we had an afternoon sailing trip already booked, we needed a flexible option for our morning. The cruise port is about a 50-minute walk away from town, so while it would be possible to walk, we decided to take a taxi, which was easy enough. Originally, I had booked this tour for 9am and while it was easy to change the time to 9:30am and I did receive confirmation, I wish Withlocals would issue a new voucher instead of just saying we could use the old one because I kept questioning myself looking back at the booking and our plans for the day. This walk with Cesar seemed perfect in terms of getting a lay of the land and a little snack. I also liked that it included the Arab baths, which seemed to be a must-see when I was looking for things to do, although in the end, that wasn’t the highlight for me. It’s so nice to have a private guide and because of our early start time, we were able to walk through many of the charming streets before they got crowded. I love hearing about people’s experiences living in a city (and even seeing pictures of their dogs and gardens, if they’re willing to share). We also had the opportunity to try something different (than the expected ensaimada) because we were there on a Saturday when the convent bakery was open, so that was something special. Cesar was friendly and knowledgeable, and I wish we’d had more time afterwards to duck into the shops he’d pointed out and peruse the craft and food booths that were along the waterfront that day, but we’ll have to come back. If you don’t mind an early start though, I definitely suggest it to avoid the heat and the crowds.Lovely morning stroll through Palma

Cesar was an excellent guide. We spent one afternoon in Palma in the old town on an awesome walking tour. Then the next 3 days he was our guide/driver on the entire island. He was always punctual, professional, excellent driver, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable about his island. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Mallorca and did more things because of him that solo travel wouldn’t have included. Tell him what you want and he can make it happen. Or he can suggest.
